Bought my first car today at 18 & it was the same impala (but a 2011) & immediately wanted to make some improvements with radio being first .. do you know if this radio would fit for a 2011? If so can’t wait to come back to watch this video during my install ! I also got a speaker set if you have a video on installing one of those could you link it ? If not , that’ll be a great video idea !
Yes it will fit all impalas 06-13 and 14-15 limited models. I will be doing a review on the newest version here in a few weeks once I get it in the mail. I haven't made a video on installing subs or aftermarket speakers but there are a few videos on RUclips if I can find them ill try to get a link in the description. You're planning on upgrading the inside speakers I'm assuming?
I can’t say for sure that they didn’t stop working before i installed this but after I installed these my rear speakers no longer work, do yk what could’ve caused this, did I wire something wrong? I’ve tried different zones in the DSP but none of it’s getting anything out of the rear
It's great, and no problems or malfunctions since ive owned it. I'm actually going to be making an update video on it since it's been close to 6 months since I've had it. If you're thinking about buying it, I have the link in the description to go to their website, they have a discount going right now.
Did installing the screen take away any sound quality from the system? I’ve had some bad experiences with some aftermarket bluetooth devices that took away from my Bose sound. Dope setup with backup cam too!
To me in my honest opinion it allows the cars volume to be higher over the factory deck, But the quality isn't as good as alpine, pioneers, bose, or any of the more known brands. Better than the factory Headunit, but not the best when it comes to sound quality vs the competitors. Fills the void elsewhere where it lacks in some areas.
@@MuscleAddiction903 Damn. Gotcha. I’m thinking that I needed to upgrade something for the sound quality to come back and sound crisp. I want to make the radio area more appealing. Thought the touchscreen would help. That Bose system is perfect imo.
It's loud enough for me after I adjusted the eq settings but I do feel like it could be a tad louder at times. I'm sure if I upgrade the door speakers it'll be louder
They have two video plugs, one for the video out and one for the video input. After you wire the backup camera to the reverse light, run the yellow rca cable to the video in plug to the head unit
Basically what @Logan Bouse said. I used the non-bose connector as it comes with a connector for vehicles equipped with such and one for the vehicle without.
is it plugged into the correct harness? there are two. one for bose and one without. if that's not connected to the right one then it will give you audio feedback issues.
@@MuscleAddiction903 I followed the directions, but honestly I think they labeled mine wrong. I sent it back and reordered. I do have the bose sound system.
From the factory, the stereo turns the music down, but you can adjust it to where it doesn't change the volume or play the music at a lower level. That irritated me too at first🤣
I love your video! Just bought an impala today and tempted on doing this since it’s got factory radio in right now. Very informational! Also I haven’t listened to Water since like 2015 😂🤣
You are absolutely correct, it doesn't. It just makes it easier to plum the connections and other things easier to deal with it completely out of the way. To each it's own, there's no 1 way to do some things. I appreciate the feedback!
I hope that I didn't imply that in the video. I made sure to show people what to watch out for so they don't make the same mistake I did. Thanks for the comment!
you just saved $350 in “labor”… thank you !!!
I'm always glad I can save people their hard earned dollars by doing it yourself👍🏽

You connect the subs to the green wire I bought a y splitter off Amazon to split that into 2 cords for my amp
I used a line output converter that I already had installed on my factory radio so I didn't have to rerun my amp wires

Do I need any special adapters for a 2013 impala ltz with bose system ?😢
It comes with all needed connections to hook up to the bose system.
Bro i have a 07 Impala im looking to do the same ..will the unit fit right in without any special kits to make it fit?
yes 06-13 impalas are all the same
@OTRdee is correct👍🏽
"make sure you disconnect the battery" (me who did this with the engine running because it was hot out)
I usually forget to 😂😂. I had to put that disclaimer in there lmao
Dose it come with that adapter that u said u needed because the other one was to big
Yes, it does.
Is there a video on the camera install?
Sorry for the late response, I have one coming next week!
How's the q80pro holding up? Any problems? Thinking about buying it

@Muscle Addiction just ordered it. Been thinking on it all day. Seen bad reviews and good reviews. 🤞 I get a good one
I hope you are still satisfied and enjoying it!

@@OwitdaK I can dig it my man. Bose has great Headunits for sure. Anything but a single din lol
How loud is the volume on it when using bluetooth I own 2 older versions of this not very loud when using bluetooth

I may need to do that next
what did you do to the backup camera? im installing rn and i cant seem to get it

what size is that screen???
It's 8 inches my man. More than enough screen in my opinion
what wifi source do you connect it to? or does it come with it?
It comes with ability to connect to wifi sources. I use the wireless Hotspot on my phone. It works great 👍🏾
The wiring harness came with the radio?
Yes it did!
any idea why only the front 2 speakers puttin sound out not the 6x9s?
No sir, I would double check all your connections. sorry for the late response as well.
Thx bruh
No problem my guy‼️
Does this radio also work with Apple CarPlay?
Yes sir it supports wired and wireless apple car play/ android auto.
@@MuscleAddiction903thinking bout getting it for my truck you tryna do a video on the CarPlay feature
I just found out how to access new replies but I'm sure you don't even need the carplay video now 🤣
Which harness did to use?
Eonon is all plug & play

Ok appreciate it
@@bigwilstile no problem at all

does it support 2008 impala ?
Yes I'm pretty sure it will but double check on the actual website
does the music stop in reverse?😂my stereo kills me wit that

Does your impala have the Bose system?
No sir, factory gm soeakers
Did you have to run the key switch to your fuse?
No sir, all plug and play with the factory harness. No need to add or splice fuses. Sorry for the late response.

too funny, you hooked up the last radio wrong and blew it up, now youre showin' people how to blow up their stereo
