We like to think of MrBeast, and others like him, as an individual content creator, but the reality is that he has become a traditional media company with writers, managers, wardrobe, legal, editors, camera operators, producers, etc. I'd like to hear more about how all of this is changing us as a society. It seems to be making us all more comfortable with being more insular.

No shit, that's how you reinvest into your business and make mundane tasks less time-consuming so you can focus on what skills you're really uniquely good at

He's simply taken it to the next level times 100.
It's interesting when you look at it this way: Jimmy creates content no one else can or will, therefor he has a monopoly on it. Viewers have one choice if they want that kind of content.
Conversely, I'd argue that the fact that because Jimmy is the only creator making this content, there's actually a void that could be filled by another person with the capital to do that. There's clearly an audience, all it takes is having the money and drive to make it happen.

RUclips is by far the media source where I consume the most content, so I have been aware of Mr. Beast but have never watched one of his videos. Hearing about his history is fascinating and enlightening. I feel like I relate to your description of Mr. Beast and his come-up in RUclips, how he was the first wave of people who grew up with the concept of RUclips and could watch and learn from a young age. I am a data scientist, and I consider myself to be in the first wave of people who grew up knowing that a career in data was possible. I’ve always craved having people to look up to and relate to in their careers, and I feel like you’ve given that to me with your description of Jimmy and his RUclips journey.

One interesting note about MrBeast is that Nancy Pelosi's nephew works on MrBeast management team. She's also a big Google shareholder. I've always suspected some type of collision going on but haven't had the time to fully research it
All your analysis videos are enlightening, I love looking at mental health as well as learning how people perceive others and why. Businesses like RUclips choose who is on the trending page and who gets stream awards which make viewers view a content creator as 'greater' than the rest; when they were just hand-picked to be curated to the max. I wish media literacy courses were offered at younger ages since technology and photoshopping have eluded common sense for decades.
