Now Brother that was a good show. Lots of nice behind the scene shots. and them two guys trying to get the boat unstuck from the trailer was just to funny.
Oh Dan, what a great upload, thanks! I was just watching with my chin on the floor, what the …. 😳🤪. Had a really tough day at work today and finished super late. I was eating my supper and watching your vid and I felt the aches & pains drift right away with the crazy boat ramp antics! Loving your new logo and intro too. Have a great weekend to you all.
B.D. thanks for the video. One of my favorite pastimes is watching people whether it's one of your videos or the Wal - Mart parking lot. It's entertaining. Watching your video, it's astounding how some people have a boat and trailer but don't have a clue on how to back the trailer up. I'm not an expert but I swear I could do better than some. Thanks again.
Love watching your vlogs. I'll never make it down your way but watching your vlogs makes me feel like I'm right there. Sending ❤️ light and blessings from kingston Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 xoxoxo 🇨🇦
I read that guys hand signals and he said make my burger flip over easy w/cheese and mustard, I'll be there to eat it soon. Some of those small bottom pond dwellers looking mighty fine too.
Great video Dan appreciate the videos you make time and effort you put into a big shout out. Thank you to you we have the same situation at our boat ramp I’ve been on the water over 30 years and it just never seems to amaze me what you see and how they get it done luck is definitely on their side and now I know why they make slow Mo fantastic
Those two guys with the white sea hunt must have been ex military. The speed and precision with which that boat was loaded and hauled out was impressive.
what military have to do with loading a boat, its just common sense, i load and unload my boat by myself in minutes, its so easy its not even funny, but i have been doing it a long time and my father taught me how when i was little.
Good thing Pontoon guy didn't have a 300Hp+ engine, probably would've ripped the chain and bolts right out. Bet you'll have plenty of good footage material after Labor Day (a day when I avoid the boat launch, don't want to launch my boat in that circus)!
THIS, is why I stay a million miles away from public ramps, especially on weekends. I was lucky to be part of a crack team from a local marina, and we could have boats on or off a trailer in less than 2 minutes. People actually used to clap when we worked our magic, and currents/winds almost never caused an issue (almost! 😂). ALWAYS face your bow into the wind/currents, and sail a slight arch into your trailer. Attempting to load straight onto your trailer on anything other than a perfectly calm day, gets you your 15 minutes of fame on RUclips. DON’T practice you trailer backing skills on the ramp. Practice ANYWHERE other than the public boat ramp on a busy day. Before our boss let us represent his name (it was on all our trucks) he made us practice in the back lot, doing figure 8’s in each direction, without stopping to make a correction. We had to be able to do it in our sleep. These videos have me laughing so hard sometimes, the tears are running down my leg! 😂
This stuff is funny / nuts. Makes we want to buy another boat, leave the drain plug out when launching, park the van and trailer oh so casually when I hear the pre teen daughters yell "daddy, the boat is filling up with water". I resolved the problem immediately and told them to jump in the boat and we would help the pump drain the water by trying to get up to enough speed to drain the water. LOL. Fortunately it worked out - Daddy wasn't too bright!
Shame on the whole damn mess. Lol, looks like that bolt on goddess at 2:38 was getting some air on the money maker, probably overheated from too much use while hubby watched. But the brother and sister at 12:54 was heartwarming, what teamwork! I bet daddy's proud. Do they hand out red noses and oversize shoes at the ramps?
Do they think that a boat that is floating on top of the water is going to magically attach itself to to the trailer that 3 feet below it on the ramp? These people don't deserve to own a boat.
Why do so few boaters have dock lines? A line up front and one at the back would allow some control when wind or tide is pushing them off line. Better still get a trailer with a set of rollers on a swinging frame like we have in the UK. You only need to get the bow lined up in the cradle and then winch it on as it self-centralises. But of course, it's much more entertaining the way you guys do it. 🤣
We have them in Western Canada. My hubby grew up at his parents fishing lodge on Kootenay Lake in B.C. and even he had to write the test for his boat licence.
Dan do you do live commentary (seems so) or pre-recorded commentary. The guy from Miami boat ramp always seems to guess what happen every single time 😂
@@TheBigDanShow That’s the way to go! Don’t need to be right all the time. That’s real!!! I seen the guy from Miami able to predict everything correctly. There is no way!!! 😆
Just another thought - all these people ‘have’ to get into the water to pick their boats up…what happens during the winter time when it gets a little cool they don’t use their boats???😂😂
Great Vid. I am 69 years old. Bow on my 7th boat. Never had a trailer that floats no matter if sunk the entire thing in water. What are these trailer made of?
The biggest issue next to backing up a trailer is they sink their trailers into the water wayyyy to far, you want to see some of the bunks sticking out.
Unbelievable. All they had to do was scoot the bow over towards the dock and then push the stern off the pole. Of course they never should’ve been in that situation in the first place.
@@rossevans1774 I mean, if it isn’t your very first time loading, you have no excuse for no knowing how far to back in to begin with. Even so, my very fist time, I looked like a pro compared to most of these people.
I just dont understand how people dont realize the bunks have to be high enough out of the water to guide your boat on straight. That is what they do. Come on people. Is common sense.
Alabama boat trailer manufacturers need to put some type of device that hooks to the trailer and vehicle that beeps when the bunks are at perfect depth.
I don't understand why these people pull down the middle of the boat ramp, they must not realize that the docks are there to tie up to then get your trailer and walk the boat up. Power loading is against the law here in Michigan. It tears up the ramp area...

Should've just loaded that boat in the bed of the truck and forgot about the trailer, truck was deep enough.
Your show may be a hell of a lot better if ya don't talk so much
"More power" may always work on Star Trek, but on Earth it just fucks up your boat. 😂
Just subscribed to your channel it’s informative and I enjoy watching thanks.

Hi Dan, Great show again ! (of course) That lady liked you so much she took several shots of you ! Captain Keith Tight lines.
Thanks for doing these videos i would do this myself but don't have the temper or patience for something so instructional
Glad to help!
The clip with the charcoal 200HP robalo center console was amazing. Cant remember the last time i saw two such clueless men on a boat together.
Lol thanks

Thanks Krysta! We’re excited for so much more great content this year!
They need more than help with that boat and truck. Need a body shop and you need to open big Dan boat trailer services. 😂

Jesus, pull the truck forward!! You're killing me

can you explain to me why no one unplugs their trailer lights before backing into the water? was taught that was the proper procedure.

@13:00, dang that top rail is in the way
Do they think that a boat that is floating on top of the water is going to magically attach itself to to the trailer that 3 feet below it on the ramp? These people don't deserve to own a boat.
New technique from Michigan, winch the trailer up to the boat.
I used to haul a 20 ft. sailboat to the marina, raise the mast alone, power away from the dock, then sail out the 2 mile channel. No problem. At 65.
Why do so few boaters have dock lines? A line up front and one at the back would allow some control when wind or tide is pushing them off line. I think the rollers rust extremely easy in this saltwater. I don’t know though.
are there any possibilities of boat licenses in north America in the future? those drone shots are great.
We have them in Western Canada. My hubby grew up at his parents fishing lodge on Kootenay Lake in B.C. and even he had to write the test for his boat licence.

Huge reason, along with alcohol, as to why I stay off the water on weekends. 😂😂

How in the he'll dose a trailer float ? I have been putting boats and trailer in the water for 43 years never had a trailed float
Solid weld tubing. Sometimes aluminum

Top of the trailer fenders just in the water will be just the right depth.
Nice intro chief!
Nice zooms too :).
Nothing more frustrating than being behind people that only load/unload 2-3 times a year.
No doubt about it
what's with the boating in US, they back their trailer too deep. Is it you ramp there a bit steep? It's not how we do it in Australia.
there is some clowns around there...lol

These people need to go through mandatory boat loading classes before being allowed at a boat ramp
Them: I bought a boat...
Me: Did you take a boaters safety course?
Them: I bought a boat...
Lol
Everyone needs to learn what bare steerageway is - this is the speed that you need to approach your trailer.
Can't believe how many people are clueless. Also, get everyone off the boat at the dock before you put it on the trailer!
12:56
I was hoping to see how jacked up that guys trailer was after he pulled out.
I will never understand why people love to submerge the whole trailer like it doesn’t need to be that far in
