  • During a break in a several day period of heavy rain, I had to do a quick job on a footpath canopy (awning) to clear a blocked internal drain.
Enjoy & thanks for supporting the channel.

Its nice seeing different drain clearings instead of the usual home/business ground based stuff

Spent quite a bit of time staying in that building when I was an apprentice (electrician) on block courses

Excellent stuff - you come across some interesting characters there. Are you still in the trade or moved on to other things?

As sad as it all is, the world keeps on turning...
Question. If you had stood on the curb with the hose to the roof, do you think the police would have said something or acted with understanding and a sense of proportion?
That said, may your new King be blessed and have a good hand ,which he seems to have...
I myself am not yet convinced of the battery Rothenberger machine yet . If you want to , I can do some research...

The Police are pretty cool as long as they can see what you are doing is sensible. In respect to the R600 VarioClean battery sectional machine, whatever you can find out & advise would be fantastic. The Rothenberger Rep was very upfront & said he would not recommend it for moderate to heavy roots, more for soft blockages or or using the chains to clean a pipe.
I'm always wanting to push the machines I work with so if I bought one, I'd try it with the drill head, & if that opened up the blockage, I would up size to a 2-3" cutter & then to the chain to finish. If it is absolutely no good for outside roots, it may come in handy for inside jobs, but it is very expensive.
