Georgetown... is a great area to retire quite community.. Builders just overload of houses.. and NOT enough buyers
Houses are over prices, property tax and HOA is killing ... think hard when you want to buy???

They live in Hutto and love it there.

Yes, Georgetown is close enough to Hutto and it's a nice town. 55+community looks very interesting in many aspects. It would be good to learn about restrictions and HOA fee in Sun City. By the way, is there are 55+ communities like that in Hutto? Thank you.
The current HOA fees in Sun City are about $1275/annually. I haven’t seen any 55+ communities in Hutto (doesn’t mean they aren’t there, just nothing off the top of my head). There is another popular 55+ community in Round Rock called Heritage at Vizcaya. It’s really close to Hutto!
I came from San Diego to Georgetown , and watched your other video about how you moved from Los Angeles , can 100 percent relate!
Daughter/husband are going to be living in Pflugerville and thought Georgetown would be a great place to live. Close to them and beautiful area. Hope to get a place soon. Still working but need to pull the trigger on retiring.

@@LivinginAustinTexas512 My wife has toured Sun City and likes it. I'm neutral to a 55+ community and it wouldn't make a difference if we bought a home there or in a residual area. Thanks for your videos. Just came across them and I will reach out for guidance when we decide to buy a home. Thank you!
What is the least expensive home you can purchase in this area?
The lowest priced home I see right now is 350k. The rest go up to 740k with many in between.
There are a lot of grouchy old people in Sin City. Watch out for the golf carts, they think they own the road.
There are a few "stereotypes" about Sun City residents that are not true - - like the ones you mentioned. It appears you live 10-15 miles south of Sun City and probably rarely go there. I've lived here 7 years now. This could not be a better (non-grouchy) place for an "active retiree." I'm 75. Love it, love it.
