Today's video we will be sharing how we are preparing for the cold winter this year. We will be heating our house with wood only! We will cut down old trees using a Cat Skid Steer, Splitting the logs then stacking them in our wood supply shelter. We were able to get all this wood for free so we are able to heat our house for free this winter!

There's nothing like a house heated by a fire. So lovely! Thank you also for using dead trees instead of chopping down healthy ones!
Here in California, it's about the same as every winter. Some years we have more rain than others (like this year). Same temps. Pretty much the usual. We're blessed with weather!

I come from a family where women love to work outdoors and on projects, it's fun for me and is extremely healthy for me and the baby. Sitting around all day is more harmful to me and the baby.

We got a lot of snow where I live in November and December, plus unseasonably cold weather the 2 weeks before Christmas. Now we’re hitting the end of our usual January thaw, and I expect we’ll get more negative temps in February, just in time for our sheep to lamb. Lol
