  • We are extremely excited to have a wood stove in the house. Because we have an endless supply of wood on the property, we will be heating our home for free. We had a lot of fun completing this project and learned a lot along the way!

No mortgage, no debt, low property taxes. no water and sewer bill and now no heating bill. Now all you need is solar and Tesla Powerwall type batteries to produce and store your own electricity. You're sticking it to the man. Great work guys.

Love watching you two! Another homestead couple you might learn from is Living Traditions Homestead. They remind me of you but older.

We had a small wood burner and put fire brick on the stoves inside floor and sides to protect the metal from overheating and add a bit of thermal mass. It seems to hold at a more consistent temperature this way.

I had to double check yesterday evening since I thought I missed your video. Was glad to see I was just about a day early. I've become so accustomed to and look forward to all your videos now ever since I found your channel a few weeks ago. I'm so glad to see this notification this morning. Today's video brings back memories to training during a time when I used to sell these.

Luv watching your videos and old as I am, getting inspiration watching all the stuff you do around the house and farm. Is there anything you can't do.

Fantastic! Everything looks great! and I am so glad to see you choose Milwaukee, my choice as well when it comes to drills/impacts. One thing I would advise, If you score a board, on one side, please flip it the other way and pull up, much easier. That's it. Really nice project!! Great job.
