  • The original plans for the coop were purchased from Etsy (www.etsy.com/l.... I used these as a guide to building the structure I wanted and then made modifications as needed to suit my needs.
    The color of black stain used is the Flood Pro Series Exterior Shingles 100% Acrylic Stain FLD82X in Ebony. I found this color from a friend (Erin) who painted her house this color. It's a perfect deep black stain.
    Thanks for watching,
    Emma

    Love the feed bag idea. You are blessed your ducks lay in the nesting box, ours laid on the ground and at some point one got broken I think but it caused the chickens to started eating their eggs, so your ducks are spectacular 😊

      Oh that is such a bummer. I’ll make sure to tell my ducks they’re doing a great job and to keep up the good work! :)

    Love the idea for the poop catcher! I’m adding that to my coop.

      The poop catcher is amazing! It keeps my coop so clean. I have all the bars lined now and it’s so wonderful. Highly recommend!

    Very nice!For a similar structure, when we have on one spot chickens and ducks, we put the chicken coop higher, and ducks love to stay under the coop. Also in winter snow will not go over the floor of the coop.I don see any dog in my country in europe we have alot foxes whites and goldens. coop will protect them from foxes but whites and goldens can go on vertical walls like squerel and make holes in wood for that we always have some small dog to bark and they stay away. Obviosly you don't have that kind of predators there.

      Oh wow! Sounds like you have quite a few predators. I would definitely need better fencing if I had those issues. Thanks for sharing and watching!

    Great job!
    I noticed a pretty ugly comment someone had left. When you see anything like that, select the 3 dots and report it to RUclips to have it removed.

      Yes! There is air ventilation all along the top on the entrance and the back wall.

    OMG Emma! That is amazing! A lot of hard work. You guys really did a great job. The ladies and gents will love it. When I saw the windows I was like, she needs flower boxes. Then you mentioned it… haha

    Another coop with out insulation

      @emmasalaskanhome  2 месяца назад +1

      Actually we do have all the insulation we’re just waiting til fall/winter to see how essential it is. Sitka is located in a temperate rain forest so it rarely gets cold enough to require insulation.
