США
Добавлен 31 авг 2023
Hello! I'm so glad you found my channel. My name is Emma and this channel is all about gardening, home projects, furniture restoration, chicken/duck raising and so much more. My hobbies and interests vary largely so this channel is a reflection of that. I was born in the midwest but moved to Southeast Alaska about 8 years ago and now consider it my home. My husband and I live on Baranof Island in the town of Sitka, AK. We have 1 black lab named Nuka, two cats, Rajah and Chloe, as well as 14 chickens, 5 ducks and 2 rabbits, Mr. Pepper & Truffle. I hope you enjoy watching my videos and I look forward to sharing more of my Alaskan home with you.

Wow- It feels so good to finally tackle the houseplant projects that have been staring at me for the past few months. It's nice to be able to reset at the beginning of the year. Any plant that I can hang in front of a window is my favorite type of plant. Thanks for watching, I'll post an update on the cuttings once they are ready to be potted up. -Emma

The books discussed in this review include: 1. The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna -I'd give this book a 4.5 out of 5. It's a fast, easy read. It's light hearted, funny with a hint of romance. 2. Weyward by Emilia Hart -I'd give this book a 4.5 our of 5. It's a bit darker, follows 3 female lead characters spanned across 3 time periods. It does cover abuse and rape whi...

Good thinking with the shop vac! I always feel so productive watching your videos. Hope you had a great spa night!
As soon as you said, "pop and lock" I started singing, then a millisecond later, you basically did too. I absolutely love you. I super appreciate this video. The struggle between the desire for blackout curtains but wanting to have a cute esthetic is REAL. I didnt realize this type of curtain could be blackout! 🤩 Also, that steam cleaner...gd. SO Satisfying
😂 so glad you were feeling the same vibe as me. Couldn’t help myself. Also I have a borderline unhealthy love for this steam cleaner. Today I did my dining room windows and the entire slider back door to the deck. 😂
@emmasalaskanhome omg yasss. The content the people need 🙌
Looks great! Good job 👍 As long as Nathan is happy 😂
😂 yes exactly
👋👋👋
Amazing , can I hire you ? Looks so easy ‼️
Yay for Richard!
Just found one in a thrift store with no instructions. How hot does it get? Plugged it in to test and heats up but not too much. I’m assuming that’s normal but figured I’d ask. Great video btw!
Hi! So happy you found one. I use my two literally every other week. We eat a lot of yogurt. It only gets warm, never hot. Just warm enough over the course of the night to turn milk into yogurt. :) it’s so easy to use.
@ ok awesome! Thanks for the response
Does the instruction booklet specify at what temperature the yogurt cultures? I also have an old Salton yogurt maker with a few of the milk glass containers but it didn't have an instruction booklet with it. I wanted to culture a particular strain of probiotic that cannot go above 100° F & I don't want to kill it!
I just read over the booklet and it didn’t give temps. I use a starter from my last batch (1-2 spoonfuls), I do heat my milk to boiling, then I let it cool all the way down to room temp before adding my starter. The booklet does say it is not necessary to boil the milk but they’ve found that best results come from milk that has been boiled and then cooled.
👋👋
Very informative 👋
That’s the one ‼️
I want the purple plant too 😉
So interesting 👍
❤️
Very good 👋
Take a break Emma 😘
Wow , that will keep you busy , glad you have help , yes you can do it👍🥰
Congratulations! You’re doing great, have an amazing day! :)
Thank you! You too!
QUEEN!!!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌 You are killing it, Emma!!!! 🎉
Thanks friend! 🥰
I want that purple one. You know my address. 🪴
I guess I’ll bring you some cuttings :)
Just found one at a thrift store, and found your video. Got no directions. How long do you let the yogurt ferment?
I start it usually in the evening after dinner before bed and then they sit overnight in these heaters. By the morning it’s good to go and I just move them into the fridge once completed. So I’d say on average 10-12 hours.
@ Thank you. I’ll probably try it out tomorrow.
Great video Emma! Have a great week... Sharon from Montana
Thanks Sharon! Happy 2025!

I follow you from the state of Algeria. Frankly, you are the only one who understands the life of the world. Your life is the life of kings, the prince of poets, and the style of the distinguished. Oh, if you grant me a lifetime visa, I will visit you.
Thanks for watching!
I’ll be there in about 24 hours ! 💦
I know you would if it was that easy!
Love the feed bag idea. You are blessed your ducks lay in the nesting box, ours laid on the ground and at some point one got broken I think but it caused the chickens to started eating their eggs, so your ducks are spectacular 😊
Oh that is such a bummer. I’ll make sure to tell my ducks they’re doing a great job and to keep up the good work! :)

They’re just gonna be scattered over every inch of dirt in my yard lol
