Flying out to Mallorca 22nd Oct for some lovely sunny warm weather, thank you for the brilliant videos very helpful only just discovered your yt videos.😊
We used to have a passenger airport 10 mins from my house, it got mismanaged and closed down, apparently to be reopened for freight next year and passengers in 2026 , but meanwhile it’s at least 2 hours plus to any airport in U.K. for me, but I find Manchester easy to negotiate, and in the case of a serious delay, and frayed nerves, there’s even a smoking area after security.
Once again Alex thank you very much for the local video from your hometown Bristol super flight information also on duty free passport control information looking forwards for your next video a big thanks again from Manchester from Kevin Irene and Aaron
The local Spanish handling agents serving the LCCs are notorious for bag checking passengers, looking for the low hanging fruit to fine, of which they personally get a cut. They mugged some passengers at Lanzarote this week. The Spanish government have put airlines on notice to cease this practise.
Bristol and Palma Airports looked a lot quieter than last week. I guess you didn’t have time to notice the assisted travellers. That was a lovely sunset from the flight home 👏❤️🐸
Your comment about the cold reminded me of a lady I spoke to in Key West, Florida. She said she felt cold if it went below 70 degree! I suppose it's all relevant.
Great video glad you had a speedy journey back home. It will be very interesting to see how much they put up the tourist/ eco tax next year. I fear it could be the final nail in the coffin. Let’s hope not. Thanks Alex.
Hi ALex would love a vidio for winter nice places to stay on the island Would love to know a few hotels that stay open Thi k it would be so informative for us ❤
I just flew to Italy with easyjet and it was the same thing. In Gatwick they didn't check anyone but on the way back from Italy at the airport they checked the sizes. I was fine as I always make sure it fits but I did see a few people getting caught out. Vueling in Barcelona last time actually tried claiming I hadn't purchased priority as it wasn't on their system despite it cleary saying on my boarding pass.
@@gabrielstevens3884 Azul Handling, Ryanairs handling agents in the Canaries, tried to rob me €60 for my travel pillow as it was a second item. So I said goodbye to my £5 from Asda travel pillow and bought a new one when I got home.
Another great video Alex....question about liquids in carry ons. Last 2 flights out of the UK we realised we did not need to take our "liquids out & have them in the plastic bag. I did try to check before hand but info is very vague. However you mention that because you had liquids in your hand luggage, the bag was checked. Was this because it was over the volume limit ? if they pull your bag because liquids show up isn't it better to take them out first. It's all very confusing and it seems as there is no single protocal for liquids or electricals in airports in europe. Leaving Porto last year my bag was pulled because of laptop power leads. Keep up the great work.
I regularly use Ryanair between Luton and Dublin and rarely if ever get hand luggage checked for size. Having said that I probably will get checked when I go back to Luton on Thursday! I wonder is it on the continent where they tend to use 3rd party companies to check in and board and as someone else commented they get a slice of the fine as a backhand? Anyway another great video Alex, thanks. I’m not jealous at all of you going back to the sun!😂😂😂
Been on the news about business being down this summer and bars resteraunts etc closing down early.obviously the prices there are sky high and the protests also not helping,if I'm honest what I've saw from watching you since February it does seem to be very quiet ,maybe the old days have gone of the crowds .
I have flown with Ryanair many many times and never had a bag check. We will be in the Verdemar from next Wed night, for 7 nights. Will you be around there anytime then as I would like to meet you and buy you a drink/coffee.
Dear Alex, I hope you and your family are well. Have a lovely weekend x Btw, I have not booked transportation to the hotel next Tuesday, taxi and uber are friendly to anywhere? Tia
Jet 2 flights are dearer but they (AFAIK) still allow the older bigger cabin bags that Easyjet used to, worth factoring in for a short break could work out cheaper in the long run, and quicker through the airports.
@@BarrioBarranco1 EES is a data grab. For years all passports are electronically read, so they know when you arrived and when you left. There is no valid reason for taking your fingerprints. And once they have them, the future consequences for everyone will be dystopian. Duly warned....
Just arrived back to the UK earlier today after a lovely sunny week out in Portocolom. Palma airport pretty busy both today and last Saturday, but it's organised at least. No dramas at all. The island itself (apart from lovely quiet Portocolom) is still very busy. I went to Santanyi market on Wednesday and it was chaotic and crammed full, so busy that police were out on the roads directing traffic.
The price paid, by surrendering my fingerprints to the EU, is a price too much. I did a three day run down to Lanzarote this week to get my cats passport up to date. In three weeks time, I will go retrieve him. And close my account with the EU.
