Such a powerful song. It's not just another love song. Call The Man, was I believe written about or inspired by a person's battle with drug addiction. The man being called is Jesus. So many people have no clue of how much this song means. I am not even religious, but it's such a powerful song, it's the desperate cries of someone in need of salvation and sanctuary. It's a simply stunning song.

I lost my mother and my father too soon. I was so young. I always cry when I hear "I close my eyes, I remember when your sweet love filled this empty room. The tears I cry won't bring it back again" 😢😢😢 I miss them so much. And, yes, I think that "the man" is God who answers when you lost someone so important to you.

My boyfriend died when I was 17 yrs old he wasx18. In a car accident drunk driving. He was my everything. I made q list of what the perfect man for me would be and he came to be. I listened to this song on repeat for 6 months every night with insomnia. Praying for healing. This song was what got me through.
Then again, when my daughter's were removed by cps, I was an addict to meth. It took 6 months until I got clean, using this song and Aril Lavigne "Head Above Water" to get through it. 3 years sober now!... I recommend these two songs for anyone struggling any kind of hardship or heartbreak.
