I think this was very well done for how little time was spent on the drawing. There is a very obvious likeness to the subject, although she looked easily 4 years older in the drawing than she is in the video. 9:51 ; looks like a drawing of a 17 year old girl.
May I ask what charcoal stick and paper you used to draw this amazing portrait with please as I am just a beginner but have no idea what to buy. Thanks
If it's simple disliking of the video and bashing of the artist by someone who has never appreciated the complexity and beauty of art, then yes, I agree with your comment. However, constructive criticism is highly appreciated between artists. People always telling you how great a job you're doing is not as helpful as someone telling you: 'Hey, nice work there buddy, but you really need to work the texture.'
The (wo)man isn't lying: this drawing isn't perfect, but how could it be, in only 10 minutes? It still is remarkable, and all the more fascinating that the artist was able to capture so much, to still remain precise in proportions, textures, and shadows, when he had such little time to do it all. I know I couldn't have done any better myself, but I can't help but notice some things that seem slightly off. Is this drawing perfect? No. Can I do better than this man? No.
I've done stuff like this before. It's funny when out of nowhere the person starts to giggle, and you start to smile, then the person starts to laugh, and you both end up laughing for no reason at all. LOL
