These guys are underdeveloped. It's as simple as that. Players used to stay in college for 4 years. Coming out as a Junior from a university was considered early... a freshman 1 and done was a rare "diaper dandy" who proved himself in the NCAA.
Now if you coming out as a sophomore you are late. Like some are saying Dujuan Wagner will be late because he is staying in college.
It is what it is. The NBA now prefers to develop their own in the G League. NIL is trying to keep players in the NCAA.

Last year I was torching Alex Sarr. Ticket the first thing I do in evaluating prospects is I inspect the shooting form and fluidity. I was clowning him because his shot looks broken. I had him like 14-25 range on my mock draft. Plus they don't play defense like that in the league he's from. Bottom line is he isn't that good. Got drafted high off the hype of Wemby.
