Glad to see you guys went with Relentless Fabrication. They make the best rear high clearance bumpers in my opinion. Relentless Fabrication & ATH are my two favorite aftermarket bumper fabricators. As far as Sliders go, Relentless is absolutely a good route to go however, I’m partial to BAMF. Nice work on the rig...pretty clean build!
I had 2006 tacoma sr5 that was paid off, but I traded it for a 2020 TRD Pro Tacoma which I love. However if I could go back knowing what I know now I could’ve saved a ton of money and built exactly what I want out of the 06.
That is an awesome build! We have an '05 Tacoma 4-dr short bed. It's not a 4 wheel drive but we like it. I wouldn't mind having that pull-out bed drawer set-up. Over all a fantastic video!!
Very good product! Nice built ! The only I suggest to be relocated is the 2/3 gal gasoline tank, from my point of view the table location is perfect 👍 is just to close the gas tank. Great Product !!
Why Elka’s? Asking because I’m weighing all my options. Had seen their stuff and it looks interesting. Then there’s always King and Fox that draw me in. Great build!!!
TOTAL CHAOS FABRICATION thank you for that info. So with some probably heavy trimming in the wheel well you fit 35” with stock fenders and width! How’s the fit when flexed?
@@SoJersey05V Sorry for the delayed response, Brandon. We won't be running King of the Hammers any time soon in it, but it's been just fine for our needs for moderate trail use.
Overland build without a winch? Surprised you would label it as such. J/k but slightly serious. Lol. Well thought out build but please get that beast a winch:-)! Thanks for sharing.
Definitely thought about it, but for the majority of our driving we're in the open desert where a winch isn't really necessary. We've had them on other builds in the past and they end up getting used maybe once over time.
What battery and power system are you running? Great build!!! Getting my Dometic fridge in tomorrow and am still debating on my power system I want to purchase.
So we welded on the LCA cam tab gussets all wrong. I wish guys would put better instruction with them, I love your LCA’s and UCA’s I would marry them if I could
Hi Sue, what happened with the cam tab gussets? Did you use the instructions from our website? If you're unsure about any future installs of TC product please don't hesitate to call us Mon-Thurs. 7am-5:30pm PST or shoot an email to info@chaosfab.com. We're here to help!
These are factory bronze wheels with the ring powdercoated black. Not sure the best place to get them now. Keep an eye out on various Toyota classifieds, they'll pop up from time to time.
The wheels are on the narrow end but it's certainly doable. The tires are a 315/75R16 which is technically a 34.5x12.3 so not quite a traditional 35x12.5.
Hey Martin, they sure do! Check out our entire 1st Gen Tundra lineup here: www.chaosfab.com/2000-2006-Toyota-Tundra-Off-Road-Suspension-Accessories.html
Can somebody explain why this is being called a second gen? Tacoma has been around since the mid 90’s with many changes along the way… wouldn’t this be at least 4th or 5th?
Hey Jeremy, while Toyota has been making trucks for a while the Tacoma wasn't formally introduced until 1996 - aka the 1st Gen which ran until 2004. Rusty is part of the 2nd Generation which ran from 2005-2015. 3rd Gens are anything from 2016 on. Trucks prior to 1996 were commonly referred to simply as the Pickup. Hope that helps!
The wheels on Rusty are OEM Toyota TRD wheels that come in 16x7.5 with a +10mm offset. We prefer the steering feel and handling characteristics a narrower OEM wheel with a higher offset offers compared to an aftermarket wheel with a lower offset.
Hey friend This is Winnie from Issyauto. Would you like to make a review video about the Toyota lights ? l have emailed u the details, please feel free to contact me.
Probably 16 average, maybe 15. Depends how they drive it. “Overlanding” (car camping) usually means a lot of back highways to interesting locations for us and many, but not everyone.
Gents Thank you for sharing your work. Looks very impressive. I am not a social media person. Can you please provide a website or email. Appreciated. Buen Camino.
I can appreciate that this is a just a commercial for all these products, but never have I seen so much unnecessary bolted on gack on a truck. Upgrade the suspension and throw some off road tires on, sure. Throw a tent and a tote full of tools in the back. Done. No need for all these custom fabricated snap on quick release tacticool gizmos.
“Because who really is ants to overland with 4people?” 😆😆 well, I do, because I have 2 kids and love taking them into the wild!
A family who off-roads together stays together! Give Michael a break, he's a bit of a loner 😄😄

Love this built! It inspired me, but I’m still making payments on my truck 😭😭😭
Same
And then you get to make payments for this build for the next ten years.
F&S Gaming Battlesmyrrrrrrz
You know what they say..... Go big or go home!
I think we all are lol

No, thank you!! 👍👏
Don't ask for miles per gallon. It's SMILES per gallon 😀😀😀
Badass build! The TC crew did an awesome job tell Nicole hi from ATS Ryan🙋♂️

Great vid! Would love to see some more video of this truck on rocks!
2012 Tacoma and a ground tent. No payments. Im good 🤣😂
Made for the dirt!!! Perfect 2nd gen Tacoma for off roading that doesn't break the bank too much.... :)
That’s a really nice truck but I think you should re-gear the truck if you’re adding a lot of weight and beefier tires
You know it! We re-geared to 4.56.
More of these videos please!
Super awesome build 🤘🏻
Thank you 🙏 amazing build, great information!
cool built. seem useful and thoughtful
“We went through and built a truck out of products from our catalog”
“This, this, this, this was all custom made”
Lol
I wish they made stock length boxed lowers for my first gen Tundra😭
wait did they just cut into the spare to fit the back up cam wtf.
“Integrated” haha. I searched to see if anyone else caught that!
Why Elka’s? Asking because I’m weighing all my options. Had seen their stuff and it looks interesting. Then there’s always King and Fox that draw me in. Great build!!!
We worked with Elka during their off road shock development and are really happy with their performance. King and Fox are also top of the line.
TOTAL CHAOS FABRICATION thank you for that info. So with some probably heavy trimming in the wheel well you fit 35” with stock fenders and width! How’s the fit when flexed?

Well thoughtful out, congrats on the build. What kit did you use for the maxtrax?

Thanks! We're running dual Odyssey batteries with a Mean Green alternator.
Like the simplicity.
Be cool to see a Tacoma with a chassis mounted aluminium canopy so all that setup can in integrated in the rear
How are you enjoying the Elka DSC setup with Rusty???
Been great so far!
Nice build! Chances are slim.. but I’m not sure about cooking that close to my gas tanks 🍳 🔥 lol
Damn, its all cool and all but maxx powell was right...”overlanding has gotten very luxury” 😂
Arent those wheels 7 inches wide? I’d like to run a skinny wheel on 35” tires but I’ve been told the wheel is too narrow.
Sweet build!
Love that custom bumper take my money
Well thought out build.
Can you guys do a 2014 Taco Access Cab ?
Nice build!
I live in indiana. Would I benefit getting some action traxs??
So we welded on the LCA cam tab gussets all wrong. I wish guys would put better instruction with them, I love your LCA’s and UCA’s I would marry them if I could

would like more info on the tailgate cutting board
"Will work with any Toyota Tacoma 2005-Present" *Cries in 5-Lug*
Is that a TX Pro? or did the fake bead locks come on other TRD models? Also what year is this truck?
Hey Aaron, the truck is a 2015. It is not a TX Pro, we picked up the TRD wheels separately.
Wait, put your cook stove on the dropdown table behind your gas and the spare tire? Probably not the best idea.
Okay.. thats a total of 25 000$ no installation includ 😂🤷♂️
Yeah these dudes are crazy thinking these parts are worth all that
how much do the tires cost
Can someone shoot me info on the actuator for that light bar? I want to install something like that, but haven’t figured out how
3:36 all that money and you couldn't grease that hinge? That was horrendous
Good one, good name too
This guy is like the Off Road Jesse lol.
ive been looking for TRD wheels like the ones here, and all i can find are grey ones. are the ones you guys have on there painted bronze?
These are factory bronze wheels with the ring powdercoated black. Not sure the best place to get them now. Keep an eye out on various Toyota classifieds, they'll pop up from time to time.
Badass build!
What’s the price for a kit for a 1st gen Toyota?
Shoot an email to info@chaosfab.com and we can get you a quote.
Curious on what specific vinyl you used on this awesome build ? Great work!
I know you said titanium matte but what company and is that the actual name of the vinyl
@@aaronq.6033 No idea, unfortunately. Sorry!
Ronny Dahl would be proud.
What's the music in the background? Please if anyone knows...😷❤💯💥
Wish I could do this to my Tacoma!!! Awesome video guys!!! Just wondering what is the tow rating with all extras?
Um dibs.... as long as no one's said it before.
have you heard of Method wheels ?
Which front runner drawer box did you use. They don’t offer one specific to the Tacoma.
Looks like the universal large pickup drawers, and then custom infills.
How did you fit the 35s on the OEM trd wheels? Wouldn’t they be too narrow?
The wheels are on the narrow end but it's certainly doable. The tires are a 315/75R16 which is technically a 34.5x12.3 so not quite a traditional 35x12.5.
Which roof top tent is that?
It's from GoFast Campers out of Bozeman, MT.
Total how much?
Is this the total chaos 3.5” upper n lower or the non width kit
This has stock width upper and lower control arms.
What kind of tubbing of the firewall was needed for those 35s?
Body mount chop plates and some generous trimming of the plastic fender liners.
Hollywood and Vine?
TOTAL CHADS, yo.
insane money !!!
Nice rig but, no winch?
dash 11 good catch.
Thanks, Dash! We've put them on past builds but they get used so infrequently we didn't think it was worth it on this one.
Great build. My question is do your components fit a first gen Tundra?
Hey Martin, they sure do! Check out our entire 1st Gen Tundra lineup here: www.chaosfab.com/2000-2006-Toyota-Tundra-Off-Road-Suspension-Accessories.html
I thought this was just a Pyrite Mica truck ha.

Why wont you say what offset your rims are,, you said you didn't like others offset but you didn't say what your's were?

Turns out the Wife doesn’t like camping. I’m just trying to get back what I paid. Asking $100,000. I have all receipts.
Anyone know the mpg this thing gets?
Probably 16 average, maybe 15. Depends how they drive it. “Overlanding” (car camping) usually means a lot of back highways to interesting locations for us and many, but not everyone.
Making it rain

👍👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪😎toyota Tacoma
Mucho. Dinero. I want to pay my house off first. Then maybe, just maybe down the road.
Then you can get a second mortgage to pay for the build and then start making house payments again 🤣😂🤣
Going to be too old to enjoy it
Why is this called Rusty?
No true offroad/overland build should be done with a wrap😂🤣
Other than the super cheesy camera cutout.... Looks awesome but yikes on the 💲💲

Where am I gonna put my dog and gf. Guess I have to get rid of the gf
Why would you even use a 4 door
Don’t cook without taking those gas cans off
You call that a bumper there is nothing better then Arb bumpers
Id totally live in the mountains with that truck lol
