Also, Spelling You See is going very well for my 4th grader with dyslexia. She is loving it! Tonight, as we were all in the van driving home I hear her say from the backseat, “Daddy, guess what! I got 58 out of 58 words right today!” I love that the focus is the words she spells correctly! As she is doing the dictation day I see her stop and look into the air as if her mind is “seeing” the words in the air! It’s really neat to see b/c most of the time when I see her do this, she spells the word correct! Thank you so much for your videos on Spelling You See!
As the mom of a dyslexic son (who will be a SENIOR next year 😱) I'm so happy for you & your daughter! This is a big win and you should both be so proud.
Iew offers Fix It! Grammar to be paired alongside structure and style. We have used this is previous years and I liked it, but my kids definitely prefer AG.
Our family has now done IEW through Classical Conversations for two consecutive years. We are not returning to CC next year so we are searching for a grammar program to replace what we used at CC. I have looked at Fix It Grammar and love some aspects of it, but from what I can tell it does not include sentence diagramming. Someone please correct me if I am making a mistake on this information.
Thank you for doing this video! Question ~ My 14 year old son will be in 9th grade in the fall. He is really wanting to do the IEW (Narnia) program next year. I know that particular work book is geared towards middle school but he really wants to do it. I've been looking into Analytical Grammar because I like the idea of 3 seasons in one book. We also use Gather Round so I'm concerned about him having too much grammar/language/writing lessons at once that aren't touching on the same concepts or coinciding with what he is learning from curriculum to curriculum. Since you also have used all 3 curriculum with your 14 year old, what would you recommend? Did your son enjoy the IEW and was it a good dive into the Narnia books? I'm researching the 7 Sisters Narnia study as well. It takes more of a deep book study approach and isn't geared toward creative writing as much as the IEW program. I have a terrible habit to buy all the curriculum so I'm trying really hard this year to NOT be that mom😅
My kids loved the Narnia unit from IEW. But if you are doing it along side analytical grammar, you may not want to do all three seasons in one year. As far as pairing with Gather Round, I let my son skip the language arts pages in each unit since we were supplementing with other writing/grammar. If you want more info, feel free to email me and I can share more!

Wow! I’m so happy to hear it’s such a good fit for here 🎉

@@codyaustin8836 Aww thanks :) It's been a journey as I know you know!
Thank you for doing this review. I have been looking at doing this curriculum with my 9th grader next year. This was so helpful.
Has the format of this been totally remade? It looks like 5 books now on Demme?
This looks like a very thorough grammar curriculum!
will this work for an adult who needs to learn grammar?
Is the grammar curriculum needed if we are doing style and structure from IEW?
