I really respect your curriculum choices; I have used a lot of your recommendations. I will keep this in mind for when my children get older. Thank you!!

Thank you for answering the question I have been asking for a long time, do I need to do grammar before this. Or is this it.

Do you suggest a particular writing curriculum that teaches MLA,etc that the kiddos need to know for college?

We did not use a curriculum for that. My daughter was introduced to it in her co-op writing class. And then we found a couple of tools (OWL from Purdue, for example) that will do the formatting. If you're not doing any classes where they require it, you could randomly assign MLA or APA to one of their writing assignments for you.

HI Tricia! Thanks for this review. I would love to see inside one of the supplements (american or british writers?) If you ever have a few extra minutes! :)

I thought I had footage of it but I can’t find it. And we already recycled them! But here’s a link that takes you through one entire section. You can see how it touches on several different things in each section/unit.

How does this compare to Well Trained Mind workbooks (not FLL but the upper level program)?

Good question! I hadn't looked at it much since it came out after we discovered AG. But I've spent some time looking at it the last couple of days and I like it. Had I found it before AG, I might have gone with it. I like that it's very thorough and appears that it could be a stand alone all-you-ever-need program. It looks like it breaks things down quite a bit more with each type of grammar concept getting it's own practice problems v. sentences that you identify everything you've learned. I can see either being an advantage depending on the student.
