I love this movie! I lived in Daytona Beach when this movie was filmed. Also, my step-dad was a huge fan of racing. His friend & him would make 6' subs and take them to the pits on racing days. It's really cool thinking about the filming tho. They used an older hospital in Daytona to film some of the hospital scenes & took the roof off the building. Also, the scene where Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidman are outside of a "Carolina hospital" was actually shot outside the Hilton hotel in Daytona Beach, FL. It's just really fun thinking about that time living there & experiencing the racing culture. We could feel & hear the rumble of the track at our house & we did not live close to the track.❤
