If you don't look after your health when your young, by the time your in your 50's your shoulders and other joints will be worn out and need of surgery. So take care. If ppf is the way to go and less stressful on your joints go with it and sod the detractors👍
And get more help from terry or employ someone else to do the polishing
Love all your videos. It's your business and your health, and your choice. The haters can sod off, or start creating their own detailing videos, imo.
I don't mind the whole PPF installation over classic paint correction stuff, as long as the washing part is still included.
If it were up to me those parts could even be longer (you don't even need to commentate it). Only thing I'm missing is more videos on interiors.
Jim is still the "Doctor of Detailing"! He can take a vehicle already is great condition and take it to the ultimate level of detail, far better than it ever drove out of the showroom.

Big fan of the channel here. Although "regular" detailing videos are more fun, your explanation makes total sense. When I wash my car with a little bit more love it takes me three or four hours of work and my back hurts for three or four days. So take care, the future you will be grateful. Either way, PPF or regular, we are getting free quality entertainment.

I wish I could afford it on mine. Had 2stg polish and ceramic on body and wheels, but PPF was just too much to spend.

Every time I watch these videos I am amazed at how much of the vehicle you take apart to work on it. I would be terrified to take parts off a brand new car like that. I would be afraid it would never look right again once I put it back together! HAHA

I’m in construction and when we are using any tool that causes vibration which in our case can cause white finger we wear anti vibration gloves. They might work for you when polishing etc.

You are a very brave man dismantling the car like that imagine if one plastic ear cracks on those rear light or the bar breaks youre lookin at 3+ thousand quid in damage

I like all you work you do. The market has changed and you have to change with it. Your health long term is a very fair point. The number of just detailing companies who are having “sales” to find work is eye opening. I have heard from owners who have had PPF done , usually front end as modern paint is so soft, that insurance companies are increasing premiums.
Another great video Jim, detailing / PPF doesn’t really matter as you show whatever it is very well. And ultimately it’s your health and business so keep going!

Personally Silver rims would really set off this GT3.
I’m not convinced that a Complete PPF would be necessary for a garaged 2 weekend a month driver with zero track days.
Makes me think if it would be necessary to do my E46 M3 in full PPF 🤔

Why not lift the car up on the lift to save bending down to wipe the car over?
Both of my car are PPF'D and I can appreciate that. I would have spec'd that GT3 with ceramic brakes making cleaning the wheels so much easier, not just the obvious added benefit. Mine would be in paint to sample Olsoblue as nobody picks it and it's a gorgeous colour. Same satin black wheels, chronos, and the usual essentials.
I love watching the PPF content, so satifying to watch it being applied. Fuck the haters
Your health comes first
It's time for you to hire an apprenticeship that you can train to do the wash and polish steps so that you can focus on the PPF. If you want your business to survive and grow you are going to have to let go of some of the day to day tasks and allow others to do those.
PPF is NO Detailing, Some hate, some Love.. In my opinion that is ok when you show PPF every now and then but detailing is something different and your kind of perfection in detailing is what your fans want to see and love. It's always difficult to please everyone😏 I hope your workplace is air-conditioned.. Keep the humidity down. Perfect would be 19-20 Grad and 35-40% humidity😇
Question: When are you going to do an old car so we can see an amazing transformation. I miss these videos. Everything is a new high-end car, now.
