The mi TV box S has an IR blaster hidden in the remote. Only available in the EU variant.
How did you get the Live tab on the Home Screen? I just got the G2 and missing the Live tab. Is it a server side push from Google, or did you do something to get it?
on mine i simply signed in with a google account, hit update then after it restarted it was there
Does anyone know if you can add additional storage to this using an SSD connected to one of the USB ports?
Yes you can, i have a 1tb drive on mine with movies and music, youjust have to download FX explorer for a smoother experience.

Is this the Homatics Box R 4K Plus?
I have the same box. Did you try connecting a USB thumb drive to the box to play your downloaded movies? I could not get mine to work, it kept telling me that the drive needs to be formatted.
Mine was already formatted to exfat so this is pretty disappointing
It worked on mine as yoy can see on video, i formatted the drive to NTFS or you can do FAT32....it should work great if your usb works properly.
You should get FX Explorer from PlayStore on your RockTek and see if that works....FX does a good job on showing files.
@@OMNITEK FAT32 can only hold small files, and is no good for movies. I will try both ways: NTFS and downloading of FX Explorer. The pain is transferring the files back and forth while I format to NTFS.
@@MaharionPendragon i know iy stinks having to transfer back and forward, im sorry you had to do this...yeah NTFS and FX Explorer must work 100%

did you connect it via HDMI Arc on your sound system?...on mine it's working via ARC to my samsung 5.1 system

I think you get in a good commission from G2 about the Nvidia and other things you complaining about did anyone force you to buy Nvidia when you are buying you didn't see the remote control?? You think because G2 has a bigger remote control is better than Nvidia? Honest to God how many people using USB 3 on the Android box?
Except for sending the box itself, G2 didn't pay a dime...otherwise i would've mentioned it (not against it btw)...the problem with Nvidia's remote is the touch volume and that the remote that small gets lost more than i like to think ...yes, i bought them with my own money except the G2, but if i noticed something i didnt like on the G2, believe me i would mention it because i have no contract with them or anyone...as per usb 3 i use all the time with my local server that i store movies since the speeds are much better when i play 4k movies i store locally...so...yeah..what i say on my videos i actually mean...and in all the videos in this channel i have gotten $0 ever from any company that i showcase...only gotten devices as gifts so i can speak my own opinion on them...and have no influence from any of them...actually you as a viewer have much more influence on this channel...and i thank you for expressing your real thought so i can explain what goes on...please don't take this comment as anything else except as an explanation, thanks again for expressing what you really think.
