Good thorough review mate. When you said it was limited to 15mph I thought it sounded a bit tame for me but seeing you wellying down them roads at nearly 20mph - That's fast enough for me!
It's the 'pedal assist' that is limited to 15.5 mph, once you are riding faster than that, it cuts out, then if you slow back down, it cuts back in again.
You made the assembly look easy Gareth I’ve been looking to buy one for my wife but was not confident about the self assembly: I will now have the confidence to buy ❤
Great review Gaz... you're a man after my own heart... you 90% build the bike then open the box to find the assembly instructions.?. brilliant😂😂 happy motoring matey..👍🏴
Very good review. Looks like a great bike. Nice one. Nice bit of blue sky there on your travels to I noticed. I like looking at the scenery as you go as you've probably noticed. It's because I don't live in the UK. 😊.
Living the dream gaz, pity you had to assemble it ,looks sturdy you could have a nice sideline hiring the e bikes out, something i would have loved to do 20 years ago, they've come along way.chunky tyres & comfortable seats are a game changer..
Looks like a great bit of kit. Prompts me to dig my old steed out of the shed - wrestle the spiders off it and get back on the road. If I had the wherewithal I'd certainly be trading up! 👍
Wow that does look good and you covered it well. Ive loked at e-bikes and e-scooters a few times. Ive got them penned in fir my eighties, as i think id lose my fitness if i had one. Plus you really need a garage. Carrying that up stairs would be an issue. Well done. 😊
I have a Cyrusher FX800 Gareth ... I had a few problems with it at first but now I use it on a daily basis ... it's a beast and a very powerful bike even though it has a restricted motor due to UK regulations .... makes a difference you doing a review on a bike lol ... nice one!
I like that Gaz and just about takes my weight limit 😂😂 I've got a Trike and was amused that your bike there is 32kg and just the battery on my trike is 27kg but that's because it's a lead battery but it will run on a li-on or lifepo battery as well. ps mine was around 800quid when I bought it 3 years ago and on it's second set of batteries already. Chinese import of course. Cheers for the good review
...nice one, they're a decent quality brand, i've got a kommoda... looks like the same motor, which is actually a 750 watt (upto 1000w peak) but restricted to 250w 'continuous power' and 15.5 mph for uk road use (full power can be unlocked for off road use!!) ! ...btw a throttle is legal on a pedal assist uk spec. bike, not sure why folks seem to get that mixed up lol... cheers...
Looks a well made E-bike, well chunky tyres & wheels, I've seen these reviewed on a few other channels, with the optional throttle kit installed, which effectively turns it into an electric moped, which will do about 25mph. (Disclaimer) - fitting a throttle to an e-bike in the UK, while not strictly illegal, would mean that 'officially', it would be classed as a motorcycle & come under the rules of the road for motorcycles & you would need tax, insurance and licence etc.
@RichieReportsUK_UKCNews ...it doesn't make any difference on my bike as to speed, infact the acceleration is less compared to a 'pedalling start' i found! ...only useful for hill starts really and keeping momentum out of corners... there is another method to derestrict them fully!...
I would love to get myself an E-bike, but........... They are magnets for bike thieves, who are equipped with battery operated angle grinders to cut any bike chain you might have. They don't care about being seen doing it, as they are hooded and masked. If a totally thief resistant chain could be developed, I would buy an E-bike tomorrow.
I'd say go for this sort of design, step through bikes are less desirable. Also use multiple locks, one D lock mixed with a steel cable and one chain lock. So you basically have layers of security. There are some expensive locks such as the litelok x1 which is grinder resistant.
I think folding and step through just aren't seen as a cool choice by thieves. They look for mountain bikes more. Although it being an ebike might gain some interest, but at a quick glance it seems racers and mountain bikes would stand out more. I was reading through stats online before I bought my bike.
Intrigued. I'm an old man, never liked driving so I let my license lapse, can't afford the upkeep and insurance anyway. I'd go for a white one -- better visibility at night. I wonder if they have options for carrying things on the back, like panniers. Back in the day, most of us motorcycle riders had a plastic milk crate or wooden vegetable crate tied down back there, except for those who had girlfriend riders.
7:24 I don't like the colour or the huge tyres, which look out of place on, basically, a bicycle. They would be better suited on a motorbike. I went to the website and found that other colours are available. I would choose yellow or blue.
@Baldfoodieguylifestyle Is your bike not available in other colours, then? *Edited* Actually it is available in white. Any colour other than that awful sombre black!
Did you have to send the original faulty battery back? Otherwise, someone with a bit of knowledge on rechargeable battery packs could probably get it working, I doubt there's much wrong with it.
@@Baldfoodieguylifestyle Oh right, hopefully the new one will keep going! I ride a normal old pushbike & the thought of an E-bike has crossed my mind, they are a bit pricey!
Its not a 250 watt motor it's a 500 watt, 250's have 36 volt batteries this has 48 volt, if you look on the website it says 250W (Limited) that means they have limited it to go no faster than 15.5 MPH, it is quite easy to change it to full power, how the old bill would look at it I have no idea.
@Chalkbalone That's what I mentioned elsewhere here, it's speed is automatically limited (electronically) to 15.5 mph, I have seen other video reviews of this bike (or a similar model) where they have fitted the optional throttle kit & could do speeds of about 25 mph, which would turn it into an electric moped, (because you don't have to pedel) this would put it in the class of motorcycles as far as legal rules go. I have heard of this type of bike being 'hacked' whereby all the speed limiters have been bypassed & speeds of 60 mph have been reached! (Obviously completely illegal on a public road!)
Will be great to see you out and about in your upcoming blogs. I love these videos.
Glad you like them!

Real easy to ride pal. Enjoy 👍

Nice looking bike, and great to see you with a nice bright jacket on when cycling! 👍
Well done mate, a great sign that your channel is doing well! 👌🏻
Thanks kindly

You can actually buy kits that fit onto a normal pedal cycle to turn it into a E-bike.
Great review Gaz it’s time for you to start going to the shops on it mate you just need a set of carrier bags for the back for your shopping 👍👍
Yes will get out and about on it Peter
great review, i see a few of these bikes around that justeat riders use.

About 6 years.

Isn't this your 3rd E-bike now?!!
Can you pull a wheelie on it ? 🚲😅
Yes lol
Very Tempted. But I really need one that can fit in the car. Do you think that's possible with this?
You can get folding e bikes
Depends how big your car is!
Hitway or Colorway BK6. exactly like this one but folds, mate.

Is this road legal in the UK?
As long as you don't fit the optional throttle kit, see my comment above!
Yes

This could be the best way to lose weight & build muscle, ride it until the battery runs out then cycle home
Unusual not having a throttle, what happens if your to old to pedal.
Throttle is illegal in the UK if it assists you over 5km per hour.

Lucky man, do you have to buy anything anymore?! Lol
Its a wonder local kebab shops aint on the phone to you asking you to review the local kebabs 😂😂😂

Their warranty does not inspire confidence given that some non battery road bikes come with a life time warranty.
