In the 70s my uncle was given a childs bed by a friend for his soon to be born child. On the headboard was painted the name ' Gary ' in blue gloss paint. His friend said he would keep it in his house until my aunty had the baby. When my aunt and uncle were choosing a name a day after the boy was born,my uncle suggested the name ' Gary '. Unknowingly, my aunt agreed, so when the bed arrived,my aunt was so pleased that my uncle had got the name painted on the ' new ' bed especially for her newborn son. I got a ebike about 2 years ago, to sound stupid it changed my life. I don't have a license and don't really have the need for one, but ebike+pannier bags= I can do grocery shopping and a variety of errands myself. Does good speeds which is great, ironically- for safety. Lets me pull into traffic if I need to and get off the road/across the street faster.
Nice vid :) I used to work in bike shops for a few years and some bits of the packaging are really well thought out here. The bar that was bolted into the fork legs is a nice touch. I’ve lost count of the amount of bikes I’ve seen arrive in large deliveries with bent fork lowers so that’s pretty cool. Technically the bike is illegal in the uk even in restricted form. Ebikes that are legal to use have torque sensors built in so that power is only supplied to the motor while you are pedalling to give ‘pedal assist’. Anything that goes purely under its own power is technically a motor bike and as such needs tax, test, insurance etc… The smaller shops I worked in wouldn’t do any work to the electrical side of these type of bikes as it scared business insurance company. They would fix punctures etc but nothing motor related. I’m hoping it’s just a case of the laws needing to catch up with technology as this type of bike is so widely used now and banning them definitely would be a step backwards imo!
full throttle bikes are legal, check out wisper bikes, they offer full legal DVSA approved throttle bikes. no need for tax insurance etc. you can have your own ebike checked and passed for full throttle at most dvsa test centres for £50

There is no market for e-bikes with a 1000W motor in the UK as the law only allows you to go 25km/h (without drivers license and insurance). Also the seller can't advertise that it can be modified with a "very convenient fix" to 1000W, because modifying it and using it on public roads would be illegal. Also, the UK only allows pedal assist, while it is working as a motorcycle in the video (because the accelerator that was conveniently supplied in the package). So, they had to hire a youtuber to reveal these facts.... Right?

Notice how all the delicate electronics and control systems have a heavy duty plastic protective cover, you should probably get one of those for your own critical systems.
I fell off my bike in the 1980s just as my Halfords speedometer hit 30mph on a peddling downhill run. I grazed everything and had stitches in my face. Be careful out there.
The way to undo those plastic binding straps is twist at the join to reveal the underlying end of the strap and then simply peel that part back towards the join. No tools required and no chance of hurting yourself with a blade while doing it.
Most average people cannot get to 26mph without assist on flat ground. Going downhill you can. Even if you can hit that speed, for most people not acclimated to bicycle riding, they couldn't maintain it. There is some of kind of rule that if you keep yourself under 75 or 80% of what you can do, you can do it for very long periods of time once you are acclimated to it. But once you pass that threshold, either 75% or 80%, I don't recall which, you can only do it for a short period of time and after which you will need to recover. There is a video on youtube about human powered flight and they go over this concept. IIRC, they were able to fly about 20 miles in a highly specialized bike-plane hybrid. They went through a number of cyclists to find someone who could generate enough power to fly while staying under that magic 75 or 80% cutoff. The flight took a few hours. They went really slow. I think the video called Gossamer Albatross: Flight of Imagination is the video I saw with this in it.

I’m really not sure what the point of these is compared to an actual E-MTB or commuter. It’s not sturdy enough to do actual off-roading (no crossbar for a start) but you can’t use it for commuting as it’s not allowed on roads. But I hope you have fun whatever you use it for (and buy a helmet!!)
You can use it on the road. Remove the throttle and put it in whatever setting removes any power over 250w or 15mph and it'll be fine (fairly sure it'll have that option). Many ebikes sold here are overpowered (as they're allowed in other countries) and they just restrict them for UK /EU use and have an 'offroad option' (all the power, no restrictions).

The old adage about never forgetting how to ride a bicycle isn't true, or least not entirely true. If you have not been on a bike since you were a kid, you should bike at least 100km over the course of a few days before engaging the motor on an ebike. Because while you really do never forget the basics of not falling on a bicycle, the skill level drop is precipitous and happens in a very short time. But because it's a bicycle and hence, slow, the mistakes you might make are MUCH easier to catch and recover from. But when you are going 16mph or even faster, you have less time to react and overcoming the mistakes requires more skill at higher speeds. These things are not linear. They become significantly more difficult as speed increases.

I'm in the usa so I had to convert it, but at 26 mph that is pretty fast for an e bike
Was like. Your garage too dirty or something? I want to see more stuff of you assembling stuff in your kitchen. Do an ikea dresser!
Did you play drums for The Macc Lads?
I'd love an ebike. There are lots of hills around here. I could never afford one though.
I paid £200 for mine. Bought it broken (I think someone jetwashed it, killing the electrics). Replaced the BMS board and speed controller (about £40 in parts total) and it worked. I knew nothing about ebike electrics before this. Worth a look.
in my country a lot of chinese ebike and e scooter are available even e car small version only
