On that Octavia MK3 (Pre-facelift which already has a Kessy from Factory on front both doors ), I noticed that the previous owner swapped the Kessy handle to a non-kessy handle for the front left ( Passenger door ). Now, I get an error Keyless Entry faulty on the cluster. (repeatedly). The right drive side kessy handle does recognize the key & touch to handle however doesnt work since the other side handle doesnt respond Now that i have removed the handle and confirmed that its a non kessy handle, I have the following questions - Will this car still have the needed wiring ( the internal connector which connects to the handle sensor ) ? - Do i just need a passenger side Kessy handle to be installed ? - If the wiring is missing somehow ( thanks to prev owners mischief ), Do i need to change the entire door wire harness or i can get just that wire and connector ? Hoping to get some direction and not land up in Skoda Dealership for a hefty part & labor bill 😁
Good morning Salim Sirieh, greetings from Mexico, I congratulate you for your excellent contribution, on the other hand I want to do the same on my car, it is a 2018 VW MK6 Jetta, at first glance I am the same as you, the car already has factory the keyless access module, the steering lock, the start/stop button, 3 antennas and the key is presence, but I do not have the handles with the sensors (the next version of Jetta does have it), so in my case I will have to get the handles with the sensors and the bumper sensor and after that the configuration, which is where I have the doubt and why I am asking you. 1- I saw that with the Vagcom it did not work as you mentioned, is it because another type of software is required? 2- I also saw that you mention that I helped you configure ferda25, was this physically or remotely? 3- Will you have any social network where someone can contact you? Hello, ferda25 did everything remotely, i just needed a computer with VCP and he installed the correct parametric values. i think what he also did is that he made an online VIN database markup and written the online record of the feature. Maybe in Golf 6/Jetta it will be easier, I am sure with some Audis it is just a matter of proper coding and you don’t have to do any of those parametric shananigans. Hello! The handes were from Aliexpress and they were approx. 80€ inc. the harness and shipping. It was a genuine product from a used car, it was sold as a set for installing the rear door handles, but as you can see, they work also for the fronts! :) Regarding the function of only one handle - I am not sure if it would work, but theoretically with the right VCDS coding it shoudl be possible I think, but you might get an error in the instruments every time you start the car.

Hi, sorry for my late reply! Nonetheless, I hope my answers will find you well and you will find the help you need. I didnt have to change any of the components, i had to only install the missing wiring, rear antenna and the handles themselves, which do have the antennas inbuilt inside. Unfortunately, I can’t share the part number of the rear antenna wiring since I built it on my own. I highly doubt the wiring does have its own dedicated part number because it will be probably integrated in the circuitry whilst the car is being built.
Thanks for the film! You have explained it very clear. I have watched this one becasue I am looking for solution for the Kessy problem I have in my Skoda Octavia MK3 with existing Kessy. When it is above 0-5 degreed Celsius outside, kessy works fine but whan it gets wormer, it stops working and I get error "Kessy system corrupted". VCDS discovered that in the front door on passanger side there is a short circuit i the "kessy antenna". However I have also heard that this may not be the antenna but just the handle problem. So my question would be: do you have any picture of where the kessy antenna is located in the door? And the 2nd question: have you heard that it may be a handle problem? Thanks!
The kessy antenna is built into the handle, so you either have a bad connection to the door handle or in the Apillar in the main connector. But eventually, yes, it could be also a faulty handle. I would check first the cables and diagnose it using vcds with the measuring blocks.

Hello, if you have the Kessy module already installed and you have the easy start button, then the procedure is the same for all Vag group cars, you just need the correct parametric values. Otherwise, if you have a regular keyhole to start the engine, then you’d need to install all the necessary components (kessy unit, electronic steering column lock, the interior antennas,…) hope this helps 🙂
Did you have to put antennas in the front doors? I have read that in the Fabia III are also antennas in both front doors. And can you give me the part number of the rear sensor?

@@salimsirieh im also condering this for my Passat B8. The wiring diagram looks complicated.. or is just connectors end to end in reality? how about the back bumper antenna - did you have to dismanle bumper itself?

Why didnt install and rear doors?
There are two types of kessy units, the one I have doesnt support rear handles unfortunately. It doesnt have the necessary pins in the connectors.
