It is actually easier and quicker to pop out the air vents above and release the 4 clips at the top of the head unit, than it is to remove the large plastic trim surround and use a tool to lever it out like you did at 2:54.

I had to choose a car for the CAN information and I went with Octavia 2014-Now (Gen3) because there was no Fabia and it works fine - I get the rear radar displayed, the phone calls and everything on the main screen.
I couldn't get the assistant button to work (it never worked with the original too) - the one left of the volume..
Also I took the one with the full hd reverse camera which looks AMAZING!! it's so superior to the stock one BUT it's external so you cannot put it where the original one is which is a shame..
Anyway - great purchase. I'm super duper happy - and thank you for giving me the confidence to go with this random (to me) aliexpress company :)
I have the same and the result is completely different for me. Mine is very laggy, playstore keep crashing at launch. Sound quality is really bad compared to the swing one…
I guess it depend of your luck but me, I put back the orignal one and return it to China…

@@pipenorris not very hard tho I had a friend who did this before come over and help as I didn't want to mess anything up.. the hardest part was the camera if you skip that it's a 20 minutes work.

I ordered the radio from aliexpress but they sent me wrong wiring harness. They would eventualy send me correct one (ossuret navi Store) but they want another $30 for it. I'd preffer to order from somebody else instead. I don't trust them. Could you please help me with which harness to choose? Also I have problem with top clips. They are too short. I've seen you talked to somebody about it already. Have you managed to resolve the problem somehow?

Hi there, thank you for this amazing video! I am trying to mount exactly the same device in my Fabia III from 2016. I am going crazy as the mounting clasps in the frame seem to be too short and do not reach the plastic connectors inside the bay in the dashboard, which results in the whole device not being properly stuck to the dashboard. How did you manage this?
The upper gripper does not fit. It holds well at the bottom, so it is almost solid inside. I'm still going to figure something out for this, but until I'm done with the reversing camera installation, I still have time, even though it won't fall out of place anyway... (I'll see if something can be put over, maybe plastic printing or gluing an extra plastic part..)
@ Thank you for the answer. That's what I thought. Whoever produced the frame must have messed up the measurements. I will try to use velcro straps to fix it up.

Hi. Of course you can. Any color is possible. I don't know if there is a skoda factory main screen, I didn't look it. (You can download several screen theme, but you have to pay for it).

Hi, what kind of multimedia u had before the new one? What exact multimedia did u buy?
The Old: 6V0 035 867 A (No reversing camera option, Android car, Bluetooth speakerphone, etc., the display is small.) the type I bought can be found in the attachment above.
Is it any diference in sound quality? Were all of the components (cable,etc) the part of the package?
I don't hear any difference in sound. 2 cables were missing, one for the radio amplifier, the other for the USB converter so that the factory USB would work.

Hi. It is there in the car data, it can be reset. If you can't find it, you may not have set the car type.

Whether it's worth it or not is a good question. Everyone has to figure this out for themselves. It was worth it for me, so the phone is also connected to the device, and I can also connect a reversing camera to it. (I will make a video about this later.) the factory camera must also work with it, at most it needs to be rewired a little. I didn't have it, so I can't give you exact information about it.

For the original camera, I saw on internet that maybe I’ll need a CVBS adapter… I don’t really know how this work. I’ll try to plug my stock cam and if I can’t, I’ll replace it 🤷🏻♂️

Helló! Vettem én is egy ugyanilyen fejegységet. Az egy dolog hogy az átalakító kábel nem stimmel, de nekem bele se pattan a keretbe beillesztéskor. A felső részén van ugyebár 4 fém kampó ami fogná a felső részt, de nekem nem ér el odáig, még ha ezt a zöldes keretet leszedem akkor sem. Neked gond nélkül passzolt?
Hello! Sajnos nem. Valamit nagyon el mértek, amikor csinálták.. Bár egész jól a helyén maradt így is, de persze jobb lenne a gyári rögzitéssel..
@ Én menet közben egy olyan megoldást csináltam hogy a fém pöcök és a műanyag közé oda csavaroztam egy gyorskötözőt és átfűztem azon a műanyag lyukon ahova eredetileg bepattanna az egész. Aztán a kesztyűtartó felől (Le kell szedni de nem nagy dolog) benyúltam egy fogóval és meghúztam. Csak a legszélsőre tettem és elég fixen fogja. Nekem ha nincs oda fogatva, kotyog és elég könnyen ki lehet szedni.
How do you do for access car settings for example if you have to reset tyres alarm after making air? Is the some Android app that you can use to manage your car settings ?
All functions on the factory Head unit are available. Head unit solves these via Canbus communication.
@ for canbus communication all the cables are available on unit packages or you have to buy a special cable for the purpose? I installed mine unit but all settings are not available.

I have the same problem; is the canbus Box the Black Box you connected to the main cabletree?
(If it is this box, I dont know what else could be wrong but I have also no car settings)

Did the radio installation work without any problems or do you need a different Canbus
It worked without any problems. Nothing had to be changed. There is a video link in the description that I also bought.

I finally received this radio. Unfortunately, I can't quite figure out how to get into the CanBus type menu or change the design (themes). Could you maybe make another video about it? That would really be a dream

It shows the vehicle's fuel consumption in a similar way to the factory head unit.

@ yes it came with the headunit and i attached it.
It gives me the option to choose from many canbus protcols but i can’t find one that fits my car like when i open the doors it says that’s not open and things like that. My question is if there is a canbus protocol that fits the car and what’s your canbus settings protocol because we have the same car

Completely Plug and play. (Only the extra amplifier needs power. Or, soon I will also connect the reversing camera to it)

did you loose the ability to play from sd card?
I haven't seen this and this yet. However, it is possible from a USB flash drive. I routed a second USB connector to the glove compartment.
