Actually saw Hendrix November 1968(yeah I’m that old). But you can imagine how kids like me were totally blown away, because we were seeing and hearing stuff that never had never been done before. Which is also why all the shredders that showed up during the late 70’s into the 80’s paled in comparison in terms of the overall sonic/visual/innovative experience. Thanks for respecting his talent/fearless musical expression and capturing his vibe. And appreciate the nod to Robin Trower. Nice job young man, and looking forward to your Hendrix lessons you have coming up!

Hey what’s up,what’s up,what’s up, my man I always wondered how they could make that kind of sound and now it all makes sense “ double stop “ brings out the guitar to life,I also herd it when they do solos and by the way you are an amazing player and easy to understand teacher with a bag full of tricks, what I called “tricks of the trade”,I cannot thank you Enough BRETT PAPÁ .

Another thing you can do is bar the midde strings and hammer on the notes up and down the box, and even include the high E in also.

Playing out of the chord shape, with or without passing tones, was a key to jazz great Charlie Christian’s playing. Modes are just the scale a chord, no matter how complex, fits into. Understand the chord and it’s relation to major scale or minor scale and you understand the mode even if you don’t know the name. Hendrix uses a similar approach…chords come first as the foundation. The chords fit within a key. The key of a major or the modes of d Dorian or e locrian all have a fixed set of chords based on harmonization of the set of notes within that key/mode. And punk does have a key

I read on a forum somewhere once to try lowering your tone knob all the way down on the neck pickup (possibly also middle or bridge) when using a Fuzz and that definitely gives a Hendrix-like fuzz tone. Its probably better for songs that use heavier gain (not the rolled-back volume fuzz sound), but for me it was a eureka moment. That and watching my first Papastache video to learn the last lick in Little Wing intro (before the chord progression everyone knows) which is still a hard stretch for my hands, to get both strings to ring out at least!

I had the problem with the volume there but i got use to it.. Now it is very handy especially for volume swells. I got the Legacy 1 year ago and i had never used a floating vibrato DFV. Man i fell in love with it. The only thing is im so use to laying my palm on the Asat bridge so i had change my hand anchor there.
