    Rocket raiders should be a 5. Yes you can one shot them but on medium to high those rockets come out of nowhere

      I always focus on them first. It's annoying getting one shot when you neglect just one of them to focus on the bigger threats

      I would agree; I think 5 is a good number for them. Admittedly I have found their aim quite inaccurate when you're moving so even if you're completely out in the open the odds of them hitting you seems decently low when on the move (and their rate of fire also seems low/their targeting seems to get interrupted or reset if you break LOS). Once you get used to dealing with rocket raiders, I don't think they're too bad; I would almost argue the assault raiders are more dangerous because if they can fly near you their jetpack will usually kill you when they die. By comparison the rocket devastator is orders of magnitude worse as it's a near guaranteed death if they catch you out in the open or even behind smaller cover like trees and small rocks.

    The anti-materiel rifle is severely underrated by the community for bot busting. Two shot kills to the torso or shoulders for all devastators, or one shot to the face. Hulks also go down in two face shots, but you can shoot way faster than a railgun can. If you bring a selfish supply backpack and focus heavies, your sniper can be a huge asset to the team.

      True, but I think the Sniper gets a bad reputation because how terrible it is against the Terminids, and most players have far more experience killing bugs than bots and don't realize that the two factions require different playstyles to counter properly.

      ​@@Spectacular_Insanitythe sniper is still really good against terminids, it can take out spewers, brood commanders, hive guards etc. with one headshot, sometimes 2.
      It's only not ideal against chargers and bile titans.
      But that's the problem with the bugs right now, bile titans and chargers are so apparent in masses in higher difficulties, that if you're not running railgun or maybe recoilless rifle, u just get overrun. Easy ani tank rifle can't keep up with charger and bile titan spawns on higher difficulties and dealing with them with only stratagem is not viable either.
      They need to add more ways to kill them, for example more hard to hit weakspots like with the bots, that way more weaponry becomes more viable in higher difficulties.

      I was just about to ask that! I use the rifle for big bugs, havent done much bot fighting yet. See lots about the rail gun but thought the rifle would be good to?

    A little add on:
    The scorch gun you unlock at like that last page of the battle pass can take out many bots with ease, as it has explosive AOE DMG

      Yes. It can even kill the Striders from the front because the AOE does reach the pilot through the frontal plate armor. But ammo economy is a major concern with that weapon.

      It's just one of those thing the dev wanted you to find out by yourself by playing it. The more you play, the more you'll know these by yourself without needing this guide. I just click on this video to see if there's anythign I've missed but everything he explained, I already know and have tried.

      You know I was feeling the same way, but the community is what made me want to come back. I had this same experience with Monster Hunter 4. So much resources from the community, but the dev wants you to learn for yourself. It's not a bad thing, but it can be frustrating when you start off. 😅

      true, i stopped watching the video when he said that, i knew he didn't know what he was talking about.
      in my experience in ustotu, sniper from 150 meters away crounching in a mountain top, one of them spot me after i failed my shot.
      and it rocket sniped me from 150 meter away cause i didn't move.
      i didn't expected them to be so accurate, but they are like this, ALLL the time

      ​@@demolimanI disagree, they are pretty good on higher difficulties. If you are too slow to kill them they will one-shot you. Same with rocket devastators. Getting shot from behind is also common.

    If you're going to add the laser Tower you should add the mortar objective because it's the equivalent of what a stalker nest is

    I did not know that the drop ships used to disappear when you destroyed them. It feels so much more satisfying now that you can see them spin and fall out of the sky.

    Raider- Average joes, will chip at your health and swarm you if left unattended
    Brawler- Literally raiders but built to suck up bullets and attention from other matters
    Rocket raider- the hidden reaper of the Automatons, they will go from missing purposely to hitting rockets across the map on a fully sprinting Helldiver. Keep your cover close and your 50% no fatal blow armour closer with these dudes
    Assault Raider- At higher difficulties dying to these are unavoidable unless properly airshotted as they’ll force you to fire on them close range resulting in instant death. Do not sleep on the dive and unload technique as it can save you from the boom
    Commissar- Getting shot by these does a really crazy amount of damage and of course they got the entire big dogs of the automaton army on speed dial. They also can fire flares to set you on fire on higher difficulties making you dive and slow down so it’s best to handle these in quick succession in the small hope you can avoid the bot drop
    Dropship- Need I say much.. Drops either pity troops or the group that’ll result in a ten minute fight. Also destroying them sometimes just doesn’t kill the dropped troops they need to look into that
    Scout Striders- These things can not aim at all and they are slower than a box of rocks, however they do indeed force you out of cover very easily which makes hitting them with an impact or anti armour very crucial in a fight to keep staying in cover
    Devastators- The normal one is usually easy to deal with, the shield will melt you if you aren’t careful and usually resorting to grenades fixes him. The Rocket devastator is just diabolical, it’ll wipe the floor with you with ease and pelt your team with rockets every moment if not dealt with. Overall just throw grenades at these guys or hit up someone with long range weapons
    Berserker- Ironically my favourite, they always seem to magically sponge bullets. I cannot emphasise enough about going for them early in a fight as they will absolutely force you to either give up cover and ground or dying trying
    Hulks- The bruiser albeit startling is a literal joke with a Railgun or a Spear in play. Scorcher is one of the most challenging automatons in game chasing you relentlessly and if even a little bit of that fire touches you not even diving can help you at that point, make sure you spear or rail cannon it before a fight or use the orbital railstrike before hand
    Annihilator Tonks- Nightmares for the solo player, getting to the tank is a challenge as the troops surrounding it rarely let you get behind it. As long as you keep shuffling however it’ll rarely catch up and get the drop on you. Same goes for the other variant
    Cannon Towers- The demons of heavy outposts, they can completely destroy a match if left around. Either do not engage by firing in its location if you plan to ignore it or if you do make sure to spam every single stratagem at it first in hope you get lucky, if not they’ll hold you up at pinpoint and delete you on a whim until you somehow get close. Take these things out before anything else
    Artillery Turrets- Apart from spamming the funny voiceline despite its slow speed it will genuinely shuffle you around and keep you distracted and out of cover, I recommend you go for these ASAP
    Anti Air Turrets- Life without the eagle really is tough
    Detector Tower- Literally the meme tower, if this didn’t count as an objective literally nobody would attack it because it’s basically useless as a single Commissar could do its job just fine
    Stratagem disrupter tower- Very funny Joel, put this right next to the Geological Survey objective. Talk about going in bare, probably one of the tougher Automaton assets since you’ll have no stratagems to assist you not even Reinforcements
    Fun Fact: Automatons drop the F-Bomb

    Two impact grenades can destroy a tank, so if you happen to find yourself with some high ground that can save you a stratagem. I also usually bring the 110mm rocket pod because it doubles as a tank killer and a fabricator killer. Also the AMR is amazing vs bots as sometimes you can fight range issues with the railgun unless you are doing defense missions.

      Finally someone else who sees how strong 110s are on automatons, it gives you tons of uptime on a stratagem that trivializes one of the largest units in bot drops instead of having to use an orbital laser

      I always bring rocket pods for automatons. One shots everything! I need to use the AMR more. It’s pretty good.

    Also I found that the autocannon makes relatively short work of most of the automatons especially the hulks and devastators

    In theory, taking out the drop ship should kill the troopers it would deploy but in my experience, the physics are way too wacky to be a guarantee. Too many times did i take out a drop ship just for the troops to deploy anyway and shoot at me through the floor cause the ship pushes them under it.

      Yes, I also call them at-st, however, he is right. The clone trooper variant of the at-st is a lot more similar to the one in helldivers, specifically because of the exposed soldier pilot

    Best thing for the tanks is 2 impact grenades to the turret will usually take em out. For best results flank for weak point, but it’s so fast that’s what I always do

And if you can get a good angle on the top of the tank with high ground, you can also one-shot them with an EAT-17 or the Recoilless Rifle if you're hitting the weak vents or the weaker armor. I think mines can also damage them, but it takes A LOT of mines to kill a single tank, making them less effective.

      Late, but cooking the default grenades can two shot the tanks to the back, too. They tell you the Fuze time in the menu for testing.

    Here a little trick I found thats been helping me a LOT lately, stun grenades, all types of devastators once stunned 2 to 3 shots in the head with the liberator kills them, same for hulks, one stun grenade leaves them open for a shot with the expendable rocket for a one hit kill, bring an armor that gives you 2 extra grenades, hope this advice helps!

    For the walkers, especially in groups, one well cooked grenade either under them or simply in the air behind them will take out a good handful.

    I think autocannon is just outright the best weapon to bring for bots
    Its got pretty good damage, if you're good at aiming you can kill anything in 3 shots or less, and it has decent fodder clearing
    Tanks? 3 shots in the vent, turrets? 3 shots, hulks? 3 shots in the face, striders? If the first 1 or 2 dont kill it, the 3rd certainly will

    I love the ballistic shield against clankers, makes them much easier to deal with also running around with armor rating of 200
    Railgun to take care of any of the tougher things

    The anti material rifle works well too, 2-3 shots to the head of a hulk and it’s done. Especially since they nerfed the railgun :(

    Nothing wakes me up to these guys more than getting sniped with a rocket halfway across the map because i was standing still for too long. I love fighting these things!

    The eagle 110 can one shot tanks, towers, and bot fabricators. Also the anti-material rifle can headshot hulks in two hits. The autocannon can destroy mortar emplacements without the need to hit their rear vent (hitting them anywhere will do).

    I'm SO glad I found this! I like to think I already wreak hell on the bots up to diff 4, but I really wanna up my game and bring them to extinction with the others in higher difficulties.
    Edit: Funny enough with the striders, I find they're never prepared for me to charge directly at them and dive pass them. Not saying it's *the* strat, its just what usually works for me. Lol

    A few things that I find to work across the board. EMS is great for stopping a hoard or a big dangerous foe to give the team enough time to handle it. Smoke is overall fantastic against the roboboys; the eagle smoke is great for this since it's fast with 2 charges and a big aoe. The arc thrower of course can work against all these threats (aside from the tower cannons) given enough patience; a pair of arc throwers can clean up very fast. Smoke+arc thrower is a rather strong combination since you don't really need to target anything with arc and in the smoke they have trouble targeting you.

    I feel like most times when I shoot down a drop ship the enemies on board just land like normal. That or they get stuck beneath the drop ship. Makes shooting them down feel pointless cause they don't die.

    EAT-17 is extremely valuable in term of ammo econ
    1 Rocket + 1 mag of revolver take out a tank on the weakspot
    2 Well placed shot take out the tower turret regardless of weakspot and any secondary like mortar and AA placement in one hit
    On top of it you can use the pod quite often making it an alternative to grenades for factories
    And since its disposable you can still carry another support weapon
    I usualy drop a few while waiting for other to join evac to take out any dropship that may come in
    Explosive liberator is very handy to deal with heavy devastator as every shot stagger them canceling out their burst

    Underrated tip for automatons. They are very vulnerable to suppression fire, even if you aren’t hitting them, keeping any kind of bullets coming towards them will make their accuracy suffer.

    3 shots to the back of a cannon turret with an autocannon also takes them out. Much easier than using a railgun tbh

    The pump-action shotgun is able to stagger the devastators and berserkers. Especially useful if 3 of them are closing in on you, just shoot each one in sequence and you can keep all of them stunned long enough for a teammate to finish them off.
    Also very deadly headshots if they get close.

    *Secret tip* on FLAT ground, you can prone under flame hulk, he’ll just keep walking till he can melee you. Timing and distance can dodge his whole attack. Use it or die trying Helldivers

    For the Scout Strider, you can shoot it from the front if you shoot the top leg joint. This destroys the strider and the trooper will jump off and attack you.

    One thing about the heavy devastator is that their targeting is much worse when you engage them vertically, they can easily track you horisontally though. That's why I use a jump pack in jump over them, gives you enough time to take them down, while they can't hit you!

    Against towers and tanks (both types), i'd say the best way to take them out is probably the spear, as they're the only few ennemies that it can very consistantly one shot with ease. And since they're so big, they're visible from far away, so you can take full advantage of the spear massive range and need for a clean line of sight between you and your target. Also, if you didn't know, the spear can lock onto bot factories and take them out from miles away.

    The Sickle is extremely effective against the eyes of the big guys. Two to three bursts, well aimed, and even the biggest will go down.

    You can totally shoot the hulks in the eye with 2 shots with most heavy weapons including the anti-material rifle and the autocannon.

    I’ve noticed the shielded devastator is also easily staggered out of his blocking pose with any old shotgun blast. Same with other devastators and berserkers

    How do you tell a Commisar apart from other troopers? If I use a dilegence, I can destroy it before it calls in a ship

      It's the only one with one sword because the similar bots either have no sword or two swords.

    One or two shots from an auto cannon can also take out devastators pretty easily. Also lobbing 2 grenades can be effective at taking them down as well.

    For the strider you can also shoot below the armor where the legs connect and take it down that way

    Something that should be noted is that impact grenades 2 shot both tanks in the turret and the tower. While the tanks and tower are dangerous both are very slow to react so if you can sneak up on one chuck 2 grenades at them. Additionally the tower has an engagement range of 100m if you are outside that range say with a railgun you can destroy them with impunity.

    Advice for low levels, the anti material rifle(sniper) can break everything the railgun can on automatons, just needing more shots and having less ammo. Its two shots to hulks heads, and a mag or two(that you can spam) to break heatsinks of tanks and cannons! Biggest difference is you need to shoot the legs of walkers like two or 3 times. Good luck and dont try it against bugs!

      @@Tundra-Zero honestly the autocannnon is the same as the sniper in every thing but the turret and tank it can take those out with 3 shots on the heatsink but about the same on everything else, so the anti material is honestly really good. two tips for both the auto Cannon and sniper, if you shoot the auto near a patrol the patrol will go to check out what blow up so you can change the path of patrols, sniper on the other hand if you kill an enemy they will investigate the body but won't know where you are at. idk if you knew that but I want to give you that information just incase you didn't

    You can destroy the legs and crotch of the small walker with armor penetrating weapons. You can also shoot and disable the tracks off of a tank using the same kind of weapons

    With well placed shots, using the counter sniper marksmen rifle can 1-3 shot the head with ease. the anti material rifle can also do the same with good aiming. As of writing this comment, its my primary loadout as its really effective, just be sure to do it from range.

    The punisher is such a great weapon against fevastatirs. 3 shots or so killes them, and if you shoot the hips they can get staggered, it's great

    How do we deal with the eye of sauron? That giant spotting light is impossible sometimes to deal with, we usually skip those bases because it is so difficult to take out since it constantly calls in drops when it spots you

    Scorcher is by far the best weapon against Automatons. It's explosion gets around the Walkers frontal armor and works great against all types of Devastators by landing a few near-headshot hits on them.

    EAT is another alternative to take out bot dropship...
    you have enough time (unless if you have the stratagem take twice longer to deploy condition) to call an EAT and shoot the dropship before it can deploy if you immediately call an EAT when you see the flare goes up, with a bit of practice this becomes second nature to some players... and they instantly neutralize at least one of the incoming dropship, 2 if they are quick before it deploys...
    if you are not quite on the ball, some of the unit might deploy intact (if they didn't get killed by the crashing dropship) but at least it would be less unit that you have to face than if you did nothing to the dropship.

    I’ve outright killed a rocket devastator by shooting the rockets off before, which is relatively quick to do, but maybe that only if they are already hurt.
    Also recoiless is a 2 shot kill at the front of the hill, so if someone team loss you, no real reason 2 flank or if there aren’t many of them or if they are far away.

    Shotguns and the autocannon are very effective against rocket devastators, as they stagger them and interrupt their attacks. Just the SG-PUNISHER alone is enough to kill one of them if you time your shots.

    4:51 if you want to shoot down a bot drop you can also take an Expendable Anti Tank if you wish just make sure that when you call it in it’s close to where your are fighting for ease of access good luck and praise Democracy Helldivers

    One quick way to deal with Strider walkers is a well placed shot with a grenade launcher or the Plasma Punisher. It's insta-kill, even when shot at the face of the walker.

    The arc thrower can be used to destroy cannon towers if you get below them where they can't target you. Just hold aim and get that circle reticle to highlight a protruding part of the cannon relative to the base its on. About 12 shots?

    Recoilless rifle can take out hulks from the front but you have to put most a clip in the small flame vent that would be the face just make sure to keep some distance

    1. Commissars are pretty redundant since all basic bot enemies can call in dropships.
    2. The weakspots on the Berserkers are bullshit. Using the Diligence, just two headshots are required to kill any Devastator. The Berserker meanwhile you're looking at multiple magazines. I think they might have the most health out of all enemies.

    My experience against hulks using the EAT is I can one shot head shot them, I would imagine recoilless being the same so maybe that's worth trying out.
    AMR can one shot devastators and 2 shot hulks. It can also take down walkers by shooting the front armoured part with 3-4 shots. Do not underestimate the AMR and personally I think very fun.
    Walkers legs can also be shot with medium penetration. Or shoot them from the front with scorcher.
    Slugger is able to body shot devastators or one shot head shot them.
    Impact nades be op, 2 of them on the vents of tanks, mortars AA guns will take them out

    heavy devastator has two heat vents above each shoulder that are weak points. and the shredder resembles a wirbelwind, flakpanzer is a category not an individual.

    What’s the best way to destroy the flying bot ships? Not the drop ships, but the smaller aircraft usually come in two’s and they shoot from above whilst I scramble around shooting it with the light armour penetrating rifle

    I am playing this game since a week. Are the big manufacturer walkers a new type of enemy? Cause I would rank them as a 11. These things are really hard to kill (for me at least) and are a bit thread. And you can encounter them in groups which is even more devastating.

    Aldo 2 impact granades to the top of the tank to the job and i believe that the recoiless canon can 2 o 3 tap also to the sides and rear
