- Okay, it's actually an hour and a half, but that's not a huge difference :P
What do you think about having a side region like this?
I like that it gives you a useful item for progression. :)

I'm not sure what the conditions were honestly... Maybe it was even self imposed :p
This is why I watch a bit of your videos (not all so i dont spoil sry XD) if a region vid pops up before downloading. This looks more appealing than a good chunk of custom regions lol. Im not knowledgeable enough to make my own or hating on some region designs I dont like Im just saying thanks for making these vids!

I’ve tried to make rooms before and I only got one unfinished one, it took me many hours, but it was good looking for a first attempt

many people call the connections and shortcuts between rooms 'pipes', of course there are!

i personally don't like this region. it looks too smooth and clean, not very many details, and just about every room looks the same. there also isn't nearly enough food; a scug like survivor or monk wouldn't be able to survive here at all. there aren't many creatures either, most of them being powerful, and the nature of the region and its rooms makes fighting extremely difficult. it's mostly inhabited by powerful lizards which have head shields, making it near impossible to attack them if they're moving towards you in the pipes which make up almost the entire region. besides that, pipes just aren't fun to traverse. you can't really do movement tech in such a cramped area, and moving through pipes is very slow.
edit: i also have a similar problem with bioengineering center, it looks too smooth and geometric compared to every other region in the game. i've noticed that a lot of modded regions tend to have this appearance.
That's very fair yeah...
I personally saw it as more of a quick detour to go and grab the lantern before setting off to shaded citadel, rather than a livable region, but if you do enter this region without food you are essentially softlocked since you can't exit through the gate (they only open once per cycle) and you can't really rest at the shelter (unless you starve)...
I think these are the limitations of having such a short amount of time to work with though, I imagine with another 30mins or 1hour they would have been able to include better level design :P
I mean, people improve and learn. And this region was made in an extremely small amount of time(It's not enough to make a normal-looking room), so they made everything they could in that amount of time
But bioengineering center doesn't have any excuses to be bad, it was just made by an unprofessional. But I am working on a different region and I hope it will turn out better
