Catching Huge Redear Sunfish in the Swamp

Redear Sunfish, scientifically known as Lepomis microlophus, are freshwater fish found in North America. They are closely related to other sunfish species like bluegill and pumpkinseed. Redear Sunfish are known for their distinctive red or orange patch on the rear edge of their gill cover, which gives them their name.
