This is an awesome build, I think I'm going to try making one of these in the next few months! Great video and you did a really nice job of explaining all of the steps. You've earned a subscriber!
Ha was watching and just by your accent I knew you were one of the good guys, Canadians that is and from Ontario. I am in Windsor and I am build a smoker as well and just love watching others build them. Thanks for the video eh!!!
Very nice job. Can't wait to see more videos soon my friend. Merry Christmas an Happy Holidays. Here's to a great new year ahead for you an your Co. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Forge On. Fab On. Weld on. God bless.
Wait my mind is saying you never cut out the smoke stack…but looks like it works I was thinking the whole video how are you going to cut it. Inquiring minds will never know lol You earned my subscription
THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT VIDEO! May I please ask what the name of the double cutter you used for the steel top replace (for me) an abrasive disk? perhaps also where the blades came from? The machine is the most Canadian of Tires :) Thank you James
You nearly made the Goldee's backyard smoker with your firebox design. Theirs is different in that the pipe never allows the fire to see the cooking chamber. Also - never saw you cut out the bottom end of your smoke stack pipe. You must have as the draw on it looks good.
superb smoker i have made some barbecues from old gas tanks but nothing as good as this one i suppose having a propper workshop and all the tools makes life more easy but what a great smoker how many dollers do you think it cost you to make
how do you calculate the size of your exhaust hole and exchange hole between the fire box and cook changer ? Also how do you calculate the length of your smoke stack catch ?
Hey im wondering if these smokers really need to be as thick as as a propane tank or if its just a matter of them being a cheap and easy cylinder cause I have access to 16 gauge Sheet Metal as well as a shop to roll it so id rather go that route to save on weight if I can get away with it
How many gallons does a 100lbs tank converter to? I want to build my own smoker so bad it I can find the right size tank anywhere in my area. Preferably I want a 100 gallon smoker. I guess I could settle for an 80 or 90 if need be.
For the cost to buy a comparable smoker you can buy a welder and all the tools , materials ect and have enough cash left over for beer meat and wood 😅 nice build..!

I watched your videos multiple times and now my smoker is complete. Thanks for the tips.
Awesome! I very much enjoyed the video. All it needs is a front self lol
Nice job on tank and video!
Wow! Awesome job, man! You make it look easy! TYFP!

Was wondering the same thing!!! Looks like he must have, it draws!!!!!

impressive
good

What are the dimensions of that cut out for your smoke chamber. I believe you said it was 4 inches wide.. what was the legnth?
BBQ/SMOKING meat has a 365 day a year season!!!
You are correct 👍
Smoke in the air. Nothing else like it. Great job brother.
Do you paint the inside?

You can make them from any gauge but the thicker the easier it is to regulate the temperature
Ok thanks for the response.
I was thinking of building a smoker out of that tank. Although they are narrow- is it too narrow!?!?
What are the dimensions on the tank that you cut out for the smoke stack?
Mr. Bonifacio, how thick is the propane tank, and also, what blades did you use for cutting out the tank door?
How many gallons does a 100lbs tank converter to? I want to build my own smoker so bad it I can find the right size tank anywhere in my area. Preferably I want a 100 gallon smoker. I guess I could settle for an 80 or 90 if need be.
After seeing that size tank up in the air after you strapped and leveled it, it’s a very small. Smaller than I’m looking for.
23 gallons
How do you clean the ash from burner?
what is the thickness of the metal cooking chamber and fire box?
The fire box is 1/4” and the cooking chamber tank is 1/8” steel thanks
How were you able to weld the spokes on to the wheel without clamping them?
Now what mastercraft saw are you cutting that tank with.
Where are you at? I'd like for u to build me one of them. I'll supply the propane tank .
Great build...but...you forgot to put a adjustable vent in the fire pit door. Its going to be difficult to adjust the temp. 🙂
You can adjust the temp by opening and closing the fire box door
What’s was the price in total to build this
For the cost to buy a comparable smoker you can buy a welder and all the tools , materials ect and have enough cash left over for beer meat and wood 😅 nice build..!
