Finally saw this full interview. What a great guy. Not sure what his English was like then but I remember after the Philly Union fired Hackworth Fabio was in the running (This was before he or was managing in the Middle East) for the Union manager position. One of the reasons he fell out of the running was because the higher ups said they weren't sure they'd understand his English. All I gotta say is I think these guys are deaf. I could understand Fabio very well and what I couldn't I made out as he continued to talk.

What a great guy, legendary on and off the pitch, I grew up watching the likes of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand for my favorite team Man United but Cannavaro is different gravy. Love the content guys, really puts perspective on how great Italian football is👍

I was luckily enough to be in italy when we won in 06'...after the game every1 stayed in for the celebration..as soon as Fabio raised the cup everyone bursted thru their doors and flooded the streets and we didnt sleep for a month. The whole country was in the best mood all due to La Squadra. Grazie. ✊

I’m a British Lazio fan and always wished we had Fabio with us ideally to join Alessandro Nesta and recreate the epic National team partnership they had. That never happened unfortunately but I have to appreciate the best centre back I’ve ever seen and his attitude both on and off the pitch is second to non. If you want to look up to a role model in life, Fabio is your man. He’s honest, measured in how he speaks and such a big heart. Plus he has all the ladies swooning, what a guy!

Love this video and Cannavaro. big Roma fan but this guy is such a inspirational guy. Also due to his height. 9 out 10 defenders are atleast +/- 190 cm and this guy owned EVERYBODY with his 175cm and his English is TOP! good to see a guy from that period speaks so good English. (Maldini as well btw) if you do more of those videos I would love to see El Farao of course.

Hard for defenders to win Ballon D'or when goal scorers are the beginner's way to get hooked onto the sport and become the beacon for the sport. Then over the years as we begin to understand the game Defenders in the eyes of a well-knowledged football follower become just as important and sometimes even doing incredible things that surpass 15+ goals with defending actions.
