I realized how out of step I am with most RSD customers a few years ago. I went to the store hours after the store opened and I got everything I wanted.
Hey Jeff. What a cool looking Van Halen! I think my store was getting it, but once I had found 3 of my top 5 I was out of there to avoid further temptations. So I mostly glimpsed what other records was there. Cool to have the Ratt EP 😊 Enjoy your weekend Jeff!
Dummy me commented about the Ratt EP and the boxset, forgetting that was NOT in the Atlantic albums boxset, but that makes me happier knowing I did not buy a duplicate.
Morning Jeff, thanks for another nice sit down, never heard of that VH, will have to keep an eye out… As far as Ratt goes, $7 is amazing, my question is, do we have a problem? Of course we do but it’s a beautiful one. Enjoy the rest of weekend 🎶✌🏼
The Ratt EP that I have is the UK Music For Nations pressing with the extra track You’re In Trouble. It’s on red vinyl. It’s not listed on the track listing on the back cover but is listed on the vinyl label itself. It’s also listed on the hype sticker on the front.
Nice, now I know what to look for. Though one friend who said they have it, said the track isn't needed, and that it is better on the Out of the Cellar album, so would be a novelty still to have.
Yeah, the big Van Halen. One of the ones I wanted to pick up but it will have to be later. I didn't go out for RSD either. $7 great deal for that Ratt album! Glad you had a good time.
Yeah, and now that I realize I made the stupid comment about the Ratt being in the boxset, and realizing it is not, I am more happy that I did not actually buy a duplicate after all. :)
Haha, I've barely gotten through the 200+ albums I was gifted let alone do RSD. Had to be at work, anyway. But I might eventually receive some of those titles complimentary in the mail next year, as I often do. There's also a ton more 2020s reissues and RSD releases being sent to me regularly, for example I'm about to get that Brian May & Friends Star Fleet Project 40th Anniv remaster. Don't forget to check out the "B" VCLT video. POOOKE!!!
Yes, you are correct, dummy brain fart on my part. But once I realized my error, I am now happier that I didn't actually buy a duplicate. Thanks for watching.
That VH live album might be one I possibly would have bought if I went out for this RSD. Bad list this year for the most part. That’s a great buy on the Ratt. I didn’t know the albums from the box set have been released individually!
Hi Jeff!!! Well it seems you really have to go record shopping/diving with your wife!! she always seems to find cool stuff, lol...... nice Ratt Ep score, $7 it's a sweet deal. Had no idea about that VH/RSD release. seems like a cool one, maybe you can share your thoughts about it if you compared with the previous live one with Sammy. cheers and be well
I've not compared them, but on first listen of this new one, was glad it didn't turn out to be some rough recording or bootleg sounding thing. It is great quality which is nice.
I didn't even look at the list as they have been very disappointing last few times. I may pop ou to see the leftovers today and try and snag that Van Halen live
It was definitely not much in my tastes category this time. Usually there is a couple things, but not this time. They had a Motley Crus 7" boxset, but no real interest in such things.
The Van Halen is an interesting release but I find I don't play concert recordings very much. Weird the EP wasn't on the box set. I fairly recently got that ep with the bonus track, You're In Trouble. I think the Out Of The Cellar version is better.
OH, dummy me, that's right it isn't part of the box set because it wasn't an Atlantic release. Well, that makes me even happier that I bought it. I thought I kind of shot myself in the foot with that, but didn't stop to think before I spoke. I wish it was the one with the bonus, but no big deal I guess.
@@JeffMcCormack777 It depends how you think about area. I'm not living so close record stores. So that is one reason I don't visit them so often. But there is. And often I have been thining to drive there during RSD.
I wasn't interested in anything. In actual fact I have only ever picked up 1 RSD release and that was Slave To The Grind. I just picked up the Detonator album myself as it was the only 1 I needed.
Glad you got what you came for!
Very cool Jeff!!! Yea, pretty underwhelming list for RSD.
I realized how out of step I am with most RSD customers a few years ago. I went to the store hours after the store opened and I got everything I wanted.
I too bought today Van Halen 'Live In Dallas 91' and also The Doors 'Live In Detroit 70', thanks.
Never been much of a Doors fan, but they have been reissuing lots of their stuff in recent years for sure.
Cool one Mate, keep up with your vinyl collecting, thanks.

@ I was thinking it but, yeah, what if I was wrong? I don't know all box sets... Allthough I have that one, still 😊

Yeah, the problem is real - haha

@@JeffMcCormack777 That's a good thing. Be sure to thank your wife again for finding it :)
Hey Jeff. Great snags. Cheers
Thanks

You got some quite interesting looking stuff there in the Bs for sure. So many bands I've never heard of either.
Great score for $7. I have the new Ratt box set but they did not include the EP sadly.

I was stupid in saying that EP was in the boxset because it isn't. But yeah, I saw the individual releases hit the shelves about a month ago I think.

Again RSD that I didn't visit record store. :(
Do you have many stores in your area that participate in RSD?

I picked up Slave to the Grind, then got the boxset, and now can decide which version to keep :)
