We Greeks have the same words of the weeks, because we considered Orthodox Christianity the continuation of Jewish religion. Sunday: Kiriakí (Lordly) Monday: Theftéra (Second) Tuesday: Tríti (Third) Wednesday: Tetárti (Fourth) Thursday: Pémti (Fifth) Friday: Paraskeví (Preparation) Saturday: Sávato (Sabbath) So even though we rest on Sunday, we still count the days as Jews and kept the Jewish name for Saturday. We even named Friday Preparation, because Jews used to prepare food for Saturday, as it's forbidden to work and cook!!! I also found out all this very recently, and most Greeks don't know!!! As you see, Constantinople had lots of respect for Jewish tradition!!! 🤗❤️🇬🇷

שלום! i recieved a biblical bracelet with charm that says הי and I was wondering if there is a biblical meaning for this, I know its different than חי and I cant seem to find a meaning besides "I was" !תודה
Hi. Seeing בקר instead of בוקר was strange to me. I did a bit of research and I think בוקר is 'ktiv male', am I right? Also, is it true that 'ktiv male' is becoming the standard Hebrew script?
@@DanielGanorLearnHebrew Thank you very much. I have another question: צהריים is written with kamatz on the first two letters, but most pronunciations I've heard transliterate to tsohoraym. In the book I read it is also transliterated that way, but the audio clearly says tsaharaym which is compatible with my expectation for kamatz to sound like "a". I'm confused about this. (I have the same issue with the word מחרתיים moHrotaym vs. maHrataym)
In all those instances the first vowel is Kamatz Katan, which looks the same as kamatz, but is pronounced different, as the vowel O. So the correct pronunciation is Tzohora'im and Mohorata'im. The second vowel is Hataf-Kamatz (Kamatz with 2 dots) which is always O.
Great lessons and I am benefiting from them, thanks, but you don't pronounce some letters properly as should be for example like A'yen ע , Hhet ח, Ssadi צ, Resh ר
@@DanielGanorLearnHebrew Todah Rabah for your quick reply and I have no comment because you use the pronunciation of the majority or the state style of pronunciation. My concern is to hear the proper pronunciation of Semitic letters as I am interested in learning Semitic languages.
@@DanielGanorLearnHebrew You should know Ancient Hebrew as you are a teacher of Hebrew language, by the way, I am watching your videos and I am getting benefit from them, Thank you Daniel .

הן הולכות - they go or walk

I understand. I believe you want to learn Ancient Hebrew, which is not spoken any more. I'm sorry, but I don't know this language.
