Sharpness, and higher sharpness upkeep translates to dps because of the fact that each level has a different damage modifier, like for purple sharpness it gives you a 39% extra damage(older games it gave 32%).
@Jaycan in mhrise sunbreak they changed white sharpnesses value to 1.32, while now purple is 1.39. Idk why they buffed it but that's why alot of meta builds require you to get purple sharpness if possible because that is a 5% damage increase. For older games alot of the builds did not use sharpness +1/+2(except for jho cena) because alot of the meta weapons could already get a large chunk of white and did not need purple sharpness as it was only a 2% damage increase for another skill slot used.
monsterhunter.fandom.com/wiki/Sharpness lol we're both wrong. White has always been 1.32 but purple got nerfed in Generations and onward it used to be 1.45 now its 1.39

Question: Is there a video coming up talking about The weapon balancing and the state of hammer?
