This album is a different approach to life. The first album is called “Born to die”. You are expecting death. It doesn’t matter what you do, you’ll die. In this one, “Lust for life”, she feels excited about living. I think that’s why there are several messages of hope

lana wrote Coachella - Woodstock In My Mind to express her concern for being at Coachella while tensions with North Korea and the USA are rising. She sings about how she'd trade her life of fame to have peace in the world, and she worries about why she should even be worrying about the state of the world - because things like this shouldn't be happening. She views Coachella as her Woodstock because it is an escape from the shit happening, although she wishes she didn't need an escape. And she sings about her worry for what is going to become of the children today and perhaps her hope is enough to ripple something positive in the world.
White Mustang is actually about her relationship with G-Easy, mainly the love triangle between him, her and Halsey. G-Easy was bouncing between Lana and Halsey for quite a while and pretty much his extremely toxic behavior wrecked both of them. Lana split with him in 2017 (the year this album came out) and Halsey split with him that following year. Her new album Manic explains a LOT about her relationship with him and his behavior in general. G-Easy drives (or drove) a white mustang, in Halsey’s new video for “you should be sad” you see her on top of a white mustang horse. Both girls tried to change him, help him. Clearly it didn’t work and in the end he lost them both.

Btw the original bridge of Tomorrow Never Came was „I could put on the radio to our favorite song. Lennon and Yoko, I guess those days are gone. Baby, you have to forget and I have to move on“ I liked this bridge a lot more even though i do not dislike the one in the album. Edit: And in the live version of Get Free she sang the blurred out part and the names are „for Amy and for Whitney“
13 beaches is about the time where she had to literally go to 13 beaches to escape paparazzi and find one empty. She turned that experience into a metaphor, literally queen

First of all i Love your username PLL is one of my favorite shows! Second of all it took me a full minute to figure out you were talking about religion the song from honeymoon and not religion as in faith 😭😅 But i never knew this & now i gotta go back and listen to them both
My ranking of Lana's albums: 1. NFRRRRRR!!!! 2. Ultraviolence 3. Lust for Life 4. Honeymoon 5. Born to Die/Paradise But honestly, she does not have a "bad album". NFR just hits me on another level. And Lana in general is already on another level.
i've listened Lust For Life before, but this video makes me realize that i've never paid attention enough on the lyrics. i can't explain how this reaction makes me feel and the way it shows me how deep the entire album is. each song have it's feelings and i'm feeling every single one of them rn. this video changed my mind from this album and i can't be more thankful for this.
I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I really love this album and even prefer it to BTD. Just because the sound is so diverse and a lot of the songs are beautiful and have awesome bridges. "13 beaches" is my favorite track btw.
I will never understand why fans dislike this album. It's my 2nd favourite from her. the features aren't overbearing at all and the production is soo good.
She released lust for life around the last presidential election/debate time, if i remember right. I remember hearing when the world was at war and being like QUEEEEEN OMG
anyone else love how in most of lanas albums theres some sort of sound or instrument that can be found in all the songs, like can you hear that sound above most of the choruses in lust for life likeeeee
Honeymoon and Lust for Life got so badly thrashed. Honeymoon is 100% my favourite album from Lana, but Lust is so good. Very excited to see your NFR reaction!
she keeps mentioning lay lady lay because it’s a bob dylan song. she always mentions the classic artists that shaped her in her music which makes me so happy since i love and was raised on those artists(the other song she mentions it in is religion on honeymoon!)
I personally felt VIOLATED with In My Feelings being the second to last in your ranking :'( It's my third favorite ever from her (behind Blue Jeans and Without You)... give it time, it will grow on you. It makes me feel so badass.
I love the way you pay attention to every single detail of the song. From sounds to lyrics and little vocals in the background. I thought I was the only one. Glad you appreciate small things like that that too! She's amazing!

Actually Lust for life is about a women who commited suicide on the Hollywood sign in 1932. She jumped on the H. So let’s take control means........ And the intro of 13 beaches is from the film Carnival of souls(1962). 13 beaches is her talking to herself/her music “it’s hard to love you but i still love you”🥺

I love how you took the album for yourself because I genuinely see that you loved it! You should know that a lot of Lana fans don't like this album, calling it a flop. In my opinion, this album is a *god-tier* Lana album, but NFR is the high priestess of Miss Del Rey's albums so far. I'm excited about your NFR first listen! ❤️
Lana is good friends with both ASAP Rocky and Abel (The Weeknd). ASAP Rocky actually played the president in her music video for National Anthem and they have some unreleased songs together. LFL is probably my second favorite Lana album and I love Summer Bummer. I love her folk/indie/pop blend of music, but the fusion of hip hop, pop, and indie was initially why I started listening to her so Summer Bummer fed my soul when I first heard it. She's also on The Weeknd's songs Stargirl Interlude, Prisoner, and Party Monster (as backing vocals). 🧡
To me LFL is the most magical album and my favorite. The lyrics are so hopeful and when I was medicated with depression that album helped me so much, so Im so so f****** greatful for this
Lust For Life is by far one of my favourite Lana album. I just love how she incorporates Born to Die into the picture, even though is so subtle. I can barely chose favourites, but I know for sure that Coachela - Woodstock in my mind is my least favourite Lana song. It sounds so uncomplete and weird. I am surprised people said you would hate it as it is so full of all types of songs.
One of the most beautiful things about Lana's records is that as she's getting older the records are sounding more mature and hopeful both mentally and emotionally for her and us all 💛 Can't wait for you to react to Norman and Chemtrails

I think that Lust for Life is, probably, my favorite album of hers. The timing when it came out and all of its messages just speak to me in such a personal and beautiful way. I really really love this album.

whoever told you this was a bad album should be tried for treason.
caitlin: this is gonna be my favorite song of the album
also caitlin: how can i pick a favorite song out of these?
my favorite thing ever is that she made white mustang sound like "why am I staying" and it puts me in my feelings EVERY time. thanks lana!
Lust for life is one of my fave albums by her, i dont understand why so many fans dislike it
Yaaaaaas, I’m not a superfan, but this album is my favourite one 💔💔💔 it’s so beautiful 😢
@@arthursultanov7762 fr💀 The vibe is just chilly, emotional and nostalgic for some reason(specially most of the featured songs). Def one of her best album🙏🙏🙏
Lana is also featured in two of Abel's songs: Stargirl and Prisoner 💛💛💛
And she provides backing vocals in Party Monster!! 💛 They sound so good together!!
"did he hitted her with his car?" I laughed so hard
Tomorrow Never Came is truly one of her best but most underrated songs of all time.
" It's a long title" girl just wait for Hope Is A Dangerous Thing For A Woman Like Me To Have But I Have It. That is a whole sentence
I love your reactions 💚
Now we have grandfather please stand on the shoulders of my father while he’s deep sea fishing off of the album did you know that there’s a tunnel under ocean Blvd😭
Lana LOVES hip hop so doing Summer Bummer wasn’t anything new for her
Lana del rey herself says "i grew up on hip hop"
in white mustang, she sings the phrase “white mustang” so that it sounds like “why am i staying” her mind✨...
White mustang is rumored to be about Lana’s brief relationship with G-eazy
yea & in my feelings is also about him too
@@lu-th2nq "the day your record was out-- and it wasn't even that good!"

She also has a song called “looking for America” which PROVES SHES NOT REPUBLICAN 😭😭😭
cringe
Who cares if shes republican or not?
@@viriatothelusitani1203 her fan base wont shut up about it idc but these other “stans” do
@@Emmanuel_Morales20 lol yeah these type of fans are... annoying
She has explicitly stated that she's just as much Republican as Democrat. She's a moderate.
Actually, the intro of 13 beaches is a scene from the movie Carnival of Souls. Amazing movie.
Btw the original bridge of Tomorrow Never Came was
„I could put on the radio to our favorite song. Lennon and Yoko, I guess those days are gone. Baby, you have to forget and I have to move on“
I liked this bridge a lot more even though i do not dislike the one in the album.
Edit: And in the live version of Get Free she sang the blurred out part and the names are „for Amy and for Whitney“
I swear the song used to have the names in it like a year ago when I first streamed it.
13 beaches is about the time where she had to literally go to 13 beaches to escape paparazzi and find one empty. She turned that experience into a metaphor, literally queen
i heard “ climb up the H of the hollywood sign” is a reference or links to this young actress that killed herself by jumping off the H of the hollywood sign. I forgot her name but it’s a sad story . Idk if it is a reference but it reminds me of that story
Oh I’m pretty sure her name was Peg Entwistle, and yeah it really seems like a story Lana would reference
interviewer asked her about it. Lana denied that this was a reference. she never heard about this story
Asulkhan Shamkenov Oh okay! Thank you for clarifying!
Asha Joy yes! that was her name i’m pretty positive! It’s a sad story tbh
First of all i Love your username PLL is one of my favorite shows! Second of all it took me a full minute to figure out you were talking about religion the song from honeymoon and not religion as in faith 😭😅 But i never knew this & now i gotta go back and listen to them both
She really is one of my favourites. Her writing is insaaaaaaaaaane
My ranking of Lana's albums:
1. NFRRRRRR!!!!
2. Ultraviolence
3. Lust for Life
4. Honeymoon
5. Born to Die/Paradise
But honestly, she does not have a "bad album". NFR just hits me on another level. And Lana in general is already on another level.
same
Mine is literally the opposite
This is so true. The 70's vibes on nfr are just unbelievable. The way it hits me the most including uv
@@timgentile5631 me too

4. Btd
5. Lfl
i've listened Lust For Life before, but this video makes me realize that i've never paid attention enough on the lyrics. i can't explain how this reaction makes me feel and the way it shows me how deep the entire album is.
each song have it's feelings and i'm feeling every single one of them rn.
this video changed my mind from this album and i can't be more thankful for this.
Get free is my favorite song EVER
Lana said this album was for the fans, whereas her past 3 albums were made "for her"
dang she keeps the best for herself then
jk many songs from this album are my faves but there's also others that I just never listen
Honeymoon and Lust for Life got so badly thrashed. Honeymoon is 100% my favourite album from Lana, but Lust is so good. Very excited to see your NFR reaction!
On white mustang lana actually sings “why am I staying?”
A BTS stan who listens to Lana? Ajsjsbdjssi God took his time to create this girl can I get an AMEN?
@Nes Ally wait we are 😳
yessssssss, i've been waiting for this
9:06 "You want more? Why?"
Okay sis now you're definitely Lana's fam 😂
she keeps mentioning lay lady lay because it’s a bob dylan song. she always mentions the classic artists that shaped her in her music which makes me so happy since i love and was raised on those artists(the other song she mentions it in is religion on honeymoon!)
I personally felt VIOLATED with In My Feelings being the second to last in your ranking :'(
It's my third favorite ever from her (behind Blue Jeans and Without You)... give it time, it will grow on you.

13 beaches is her talking to herself/her music “it’s hard to love you but i still love you”🥺
Have you realised that white Mustang sounds like she's saying "why am I staying"?
i'm so glad you like it, caitlin! a lot of people don't appreciate this album as they should, it's definitely one of my favorites. can't wait for your reaction on norman fucking rockwell!
this album was considered her "revival" album because it was more happy than sad
U dont know the wait that i have been anticipating for this reaction video!!! Love u the most!!!
It's so interesting that you imagine a forest at the end of get free i imagine the sea and a blue sky
I was also surprised that she didn't think "soft ice cream" fit in the atmosphere of Salvatore
LOVE, Change, and 13 Beaches are my favourite Lana songs from Lust For Life. It´s so nostalgic and hopeful for the future.
Lay Lady lay is also in her song Religion!
13 beaches is one of my fav Lana songs, so damn good.
The song love she wrote for her fans btw❤
omg you NEED to listen to stevie nicks' solo albums, a literal music legend. just do them chronological. her first Bella Donna is my favorite album of all time
THISSSS
i'm gonna comment this on every video until it happens 😭😭
Her solo or Rumors by FM (a.k.a the best album ever) Her song with Lana feels like the most natural collab in Lust for Life.
Love you and all your videos Caitlin! Your so pretty and I love all your positivity! Love this video so much! 💗
Girl I just love all your reactions of Lana albums really . Keep going .. cheers from a Venezuelan guy living in Chile.
For white mustang it’s suppose to be “why am I staying”
The editing is perfection.
🥺
To me LFL is the most magical album and my favorite. The lyrics are so hopeful and when I was medicated with depression that album helped me so much, so Im so so f****** greatful for this
change is literally one of the best song on her discography, the lyrics are so beautiful and deep, it an underrated masterpiece.
I love you catching the Without You/Wildest Dreams sound in Lust for Life! Wonderful reaction!
One of the most beautiful things about Lana's records is that as she's getting older the records are sounding more mature and hopeful both mentally and emotionally for her and us all 💛
Can't wait for you to react to Norman and Chemtrails
I love all her albums by my ranking is:
1- NFR
2-Ultraviolence
3-Born to die
4-Paradise
5-Honeymoon
6-LFL
