Love it. At the gym losing weight for my second attempt of walking 90 miles of the Ridgeway in the UK. Last year I was 400lbs, this year I am 300lbs. Still a way to go but the path is long. Cheers Tim.

I am currently in the process of a weight lose regimen and I find that your videos give me the motivation to continue when the "hunger" is trying to win. My ultimate goal is to hike the AT. Your broken tracking pole reminded me of a time when, as a teenager, I was entrusted with my cousins over and under shotgun, the instructions were; Keep it pointed forward, only take off the safety catch when you mount it, don't swing around and if you fall, fall under the gun. Those scenes and vistas are wonderful, I think I'd find it hard to leave there. Many thanks for sharing your wonderful journey.

Question, when you broke your trekking pole did you just use a stick in Duplex or tie up to a branch? And is your time with 1 pole what got you to eventually go 1 pole on future trips, and start using the single pole Pleximid?

I know it weighs a lot, but once you master it the tiniest dead leavings provide everything you need. Using a 1st Gen snow peak tI mini solo plus a cheap ti 450 ml single wall nested opens up works of occasional gourmet stuff. Please try it out and forgey the weight just for the test. Without the fuel you'll never look back. Balances the extra weight and carry.
