Aquarists LOVE these as a live food for their fish.
Often intentionally cultured using bread slathered with yogurt or kefir and sprinkled with nutritional yeast.

It's amazing how fast they bloom into thousands then disappear just as quick

I just had my first explosion of these pot worms my first thought after realizing the disappointment other than not being red wigglers . I lowered all the pot worms turn avocado and it had to be in the thousands of them I stuck it in a small bin with bedding so I can start reproducing pot worms to help feed my chickens

? I just started my worm bin, but noticed that soil is falling out of the bottom. Is that normal?

Hi all, I found a slug in my womery and now my bin is full of little parasites. Is this normal or have I infected my worms? I’ve had my worms for at least 8 months and they are breeding fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Mine bin was sifted wood chip compost and I noticed they're in that before even putting them in my bins. Once in the bins, I can only keep their numbers in check. I didn't even feed some of these yet and there were loads of pot worms in it. I'm switching over to horse manure and hoping for better results. The pot worms aren't too bad now but after getting an explosion of thousands of them, I'd prefer to not see any anymore.

Well, recently got pot worms in my bin. With the cold winter temps, microbes haven't been breaking down the food I put in fast enough.
So, I'm making lemonade out of lemons: I feed the pot worms to my fish tanks!

Question for you: Do you know if the pot worm stays white all the way into adulthood? Thanks for the explanation on these guys. I just had an explosion of pot worms.
