@OverlandUnderground thank you! So far, so good with the Taco. That's not to say I don't miss the LX on these trips though. It's so much more pleasant to drive than the Taco
For sure. This seems like a good solution where we don't have to lug around a purification Jerry Can ... but can easily purify enough drinking water for the both of us
What an unbelievably stunning site. Couldn't agree more to plan your trip around the sites, not the journey. I can't imagine finding that spot and then only having a short time to enjoy it. You had us dying with the "mud butt" 😅😅 That cup is pretty cool. Might have to put it on the short list of upcoming buys.
So far, so good in the Grayl filter bottle! Christine actually liked the taste of the filtered water so much she filtered like 80oz to fill all our water bottles with. Zero mud butt! Lol
I was wondering if you 2 were going to make a video during summer in that, and was this on the weekend? Can't wait for the kids to go back to school!😅 We have a spot that we like to go to when there is a burn ban going on, because we get the whole place to ourselves.
Yep, this one is the first of a bunch in the Taco! We were at the lake on a Friday. If I were to go back during the summer, I'd probably only consider going mid-week
Just found your channel! Great stuff. Was wondering what video your chicken apple cinnamon recipe it was in. Need the recipe thanks keep on making awesome videos.
Yeah, we were SO surprised that no one else was there when we rolled in .... but by sunset quite a few people showed up. Seems like more of a 'mid-week' kinda spot (at least in Summer)
Funny enough, I bought a set of ND filters (for my drone anyway) after getting back from this exact trip and reviewing the footage. I think the white truck isn't helping
Subbed a little while back. Interesting and informative content! Please don’t share your locations because the PNW is already overrun. Thanks for sharing your hard work.
Great spot. Glad the new rig is working out for you guys.

The grayl filtration bottle is fantastic. Brought one with me when I went home to the Philippines. I filtered all the water my daughter drank with it.
Yeah, we're looking forward to taking ours when we travel abroad!
Grayl’s are great.
Beautiful!!! Epic everything 👌🏻 Good to see the new truck doing work. Got us excited to head up there this fall 👍🏻
Fall will be perfect for that spot. Would be awesome to time it with the leaves changing. I bet it'd be pretty spectacular up there
The look and tone of Christine saying she was hoping you tried it first told me you were in the dog house when u got back! Lol.
Beautiful spot!
Rules are rules. 🤣

Great trip, truck and camper look like they are perfect. Looked like it was fun getting out of there.
Loving the truck / camper setup, for sure. And yeah, getting out of there was a good bit of fun
What a spot! Alpine lakes are awesome! Come on Christine, water that clear in an alpine lake, you’ll be fine….maybe 👀 😆
Spoiler Alert .... no one got mud butt!
@@WheretoNextOverland 😆
Definitely good insurance to have outdoors, ran out of water hiking and had to drink water off the stream. Looks like an awesome spot to relax.

Great video.
I like the camping aspect. I'm tired of seeing a 4x4 going down a trail.
@GATORADDAM yeah, I hear you on that. Can only watch content like that so many times before it all starts to feel the same.
Wow, what a great location.
It was! Pretty hard to beat a lakeside spot in the mointains!

Assuming you don't lose them

I was at that spot last weekend and we should really go back in there and do a clean up! There is toilet paper on that hillside everywhere!
@OLNPHOTO ugh, yeah I noticed that when we were there. TP everywhere. People man 😔
I feel like Christine was over this trip by time you guys packed up and left - :)
Hahaha. I think you're right 🤣
You guys are too cute. You make the perfect couple! ❤
Camping is definitely a great test for relationships. Haha.
Love that spot! I have yet to camp there though. Loved the rock paper scissors too lol
Is this rim rock lake?
How have I gone 14 years without knowing Christine had no idea how it was played???
Such a dope spot. Every time I go there it's always taken though :(

That looks like Lost Lake in Stampede?
Is this rim rock lake?
which lake is this, if you don’t mind
Sir, might I humbly suggest you to purchase an ND filter to cut down on the harsh highlights.
Funny enough, I bought a set of ND filters (for my drone anyway) after getting back from this exact trip and reviewing the footage. I think the white truck isn't helping
An nd filter reduces the exposure across the histogram, not just the highlights. How would an nd filter help other than to reduce the shutter speed?
@JerodBeeson that's a good point. A polarized filter could help with glare, but otherwise it's all just an exposure issue
That’s a loon, not a duck.
You're right. Pretty cool. I didn't realize until a few people mentioned it
I see them all the time in Ontario but didn’t know they were in WA!
@wra3official apparently they're pretty rare here. Rare enough that I just assumed it was a duck 🤣

You have my word. No sharing campsite locations!
Agree with this request! It's a great location but can get a bit crowded.
@IFellOnScissors yeah, no doubt. This is a special spot, and it's already pretty busy from what I could tell
Sorry where is it?
Where is this?
Thank God you didn't get your hat wet. That would have been terrible.
@@devildog7602 would've had to pack up and head home immediately
