I love that when Matt found the drone he pulled out the Dante's Peak line "Thank you NASA". I say that all the time. New sub here, and I am really enjoying your videos. Thanks for taking us along on some really cool adventures.
Love Mt Baker area! We have a family farm up that way, so I'm usually in the area on the weekends a lot. If you get the chance to visit Twin Lakes up there, I highly recommend. One of my favorite spots!
BEAUTIFUL edit!! The opening sequence, the drone shots, that steamy sausage b-roll, truck vs trailer...you win haha! One of our best trips of the summer. We had such an amazing time with you two, hope to do it again soon!
That steamy sausage b-roll was a bit of a missed opportunity for some smooooooth 70's funk lol. Agree 100% though, that trip was a blast. We'll definitely need to do it again soon! P.S - hurry up on your edit, we're dying to see your take on this trip!
I don't know that I've ever seen more campgrounds on one stretch of road than we did up there. I can imagine all the campers (and food they bring) attract the bears
New subscriber here... I uses to live extremely close to Mt. Baker in a small town named "Concrete" for many years on the Skagit River ... beautiful country and miss it very much ... 😂😂😂
I know exactly where Concrete is.. Quite the change of scenery moving to the Philippines! We've been there as well and absolutely LOVED it. Looking forward to getting back there.
Beautiful filming. Our little group haven’t been that far north. Mostly out in Greenwater and Olympic Peninsula. Excited to see more of your adventures.
@franciscoruiz2327 thank you! Yeah, that was our first time exploring up around Baker off pavement. It was great. Greenwater area is definitely one of our favorites
That is a stunning area. Really lucked out on both those spots especially when it’s nice and hot out. I bet it was a super fun trip swapping stories with Matt and Emily.
Definitely lucked out to score both those spots & yeah, we had a great time hanging out with Matt & Emily. Looking forward to seeing their take on this trip.
First.....lol..... we llke your channel. Keep doing more trips, you do a interesting travels. Aloha from seattle. Really like your new truck and camper....
That area is no secret, but still totally slept on by a lot of folks. Great vid as always. You do a really awesome job with music selection! That is almost the longest and hardest part somehow 😂
Love your choice of jams! Your music selections for your videos sets you apart. I enjoy looking forward to each one to hear those jams. Thx for another wonderful video.
@alwaysanadventure3164 thanks for the kind words & we appreciate hearing that feedback. We love being a bit "different" with our music choices....even if it rubs some people the wrong way 🙃

Great video!! I'm a little north of Mt. Baker in Canada, and I was wondering what I need in the way of permits etc to dispersed camp in the Mt. Baker area? I've been looking on the Forest Service website and can't seem to figure out what kind of pass I would need to purchase. Thanks for the inspiring videos and looking forward to seeing more of the US PNW!
If you want to dispersed camp in the national forest, no permits are necessary. The only time you'd need a permit / pass would be if you're parked at trailheads or (maybe) campgrounds
I love the area around Mt Baker. I've been on most of the roads around the mtn. However, I haven't seen that spot where you camped on the 1st night. Sounds like a day trip for the dog and I. Baker Lake is very popular and often has no available camp spots. Your spot did turn out well, though. Did you know there is a hot springs up off baker lake road? It's small and not the best hot springs, but it's worth checking out just to say you have been there. I made it out to Stampede Pass area a couple of weeks back. It was not the same spot as you were, but we did have a view of Rainier. I'll be exploring that area more in the future. Great video.
Glad to hear you made it out to explore Stampede Pass! You could probably take a dozen trips out to that area and still have more to explore. Baker lake was DEFINITELY busy. I've never seen so many campgrounds along one road. They all looked pretty full too
I so much want one of those, but being black it has to be like an oven in it during summer, especially when there is no shade, that is my only downside on that.

what forest road is this on?
