I LOVE Gavin! I’m that person who found him at 14 from a tv show and still listen. Finally got to see him live and him playing “I Don’t Wanna Be” almost brought me to tears because it is so engrained into my formative years!
Gavin! I'm one of those people that heard "I don't want to be and fall in love".. BUT you know what? 20 some years after I don't come to your concerts for one song (if I was, it's not this one anymore) I'm coming for all of the songs. I think you are the only artist I stuck too. Your music talks to my soul, words with meaning and it's rare today with the late music. As far as I know, I'm willing to pay to watch u multiple times a year!
Gavin music has been very therapeutic when my son passed away for months I couldn't get out of bed but thank fully I got support from family members my dream is to be a nurse and help third world countries god bless😊

One thing just strikes me everytime I see it, some artists are actually as genuine in real life as they sound when singing and even if a good actor is a good actor he or she is in a role in a movie or a TV-show and you hardly ever get any grip on what they really are. But in music if it's not overly produced and mixed and full of various technical tricks, you can actually feel the person behind this public image. In the best songs ever you can actually feel what someone has felt when writing his/hers songs and that is actually a groung breaking. I always liked Gavin Degraws voice as it is soulful. Also it's very nice to hear normal tone of the speaking voice as it tells how big difference there can be between the 'normal' voice and the whole register someone can sing. Idon't know if its good or bad to have your songs in movies and TV shows, but what I do know, is people will after any movie where they heard something cool in the soundtrack, look for the singer or the band if it got 'playing in your head', you know what I mean. I am not a musician myself, but my brother is, but I am a painter and graphics artist so I know the difference between making what you actully want tyo paint compared to some situations when someone has 'ordered' a certain picture of their will. You can make it, but 'cos it's not coming from YOU, it won't be as good as it could be otherwise. All the greatest pices of art in all arts have this one common thing: They have emotional impact on you and sometimes even something that makes you think and maybe even change a bit your view in life. When you are listening someone and you realize while listening that, 'Oh man, I've been on that situation too', it makes a whole lot of different meaning to this art. Thank you Gavin Degraw beeing genuine person that actually cares what he does and means it!

As someone who HAS driven 3.5 hrs to see Gavin, and then 1600 miles to be at the final show of the tour in NJ, I deeply appreciate the passion behind the “pep talk” to the whiney performers. As for me though, “will travel to hear Destiny and Lighthouse live.”😉The tour was phenomenal.
