I love it Dave. I'm the product of Phelps Vocational HS in DC Automotive Class of 1981, and was afforded the opportunity to teach the Adult Night School Auto Shop for a season. It was good to come full circle, from being taught to teaching. Those students will never forget the experience with you. Great job students and faculty.
It's awesome to have a great automotive course like that. When I was a kid my high school had one of the best in the country. Now I'm an adult with a kid in automatic class. He took my truck into class to fix a power steering and they messed it up. They were supposed to do my alignment. Another time I was told that my truck had a recall. The frame was rusted and I needed to trade it in. I called bullshit took a 2 tire rack. They aligned it just fine and said the front tires were facing in opposite directions. I had great teachers. It appears Dave had great teachers. My son, on the other hand does not have a great teacher. He's been talking about retirement for the last 5 years. And I think he has mentally retired. Be very happy if you have a good program and a good teacher, they're hard to find. And it is awesome for you to give back to your school Dave. I think that is a great idea. And I guarantee it will keep at least a couple of those kids engaged in automotive work and set them on a path to the rest of their lives with a future.
Dave it’s great of you to do this for the kids in your teck school. It’s a beautiful car and the kids will never forget this experience. The faith you had gained from your own experience you knew you would get a quality job done the same as you have shown in all your cars. You expect perfection and the kids did it. Proud to be a Daddy Dave Fan.
Thats so cool that they still have these programs in high schools! When I was in high school auto shop was the only class I actually looked forward to going to and its not even offered anymore. The car looks amazing those kids and the instructors killed it!

Hell yeah nice work! 🇺🇸🤙 Wish my h/s had classes like this. Seems like vocational school is a northern thing. My brother had it for welding when we lived in Pennsylvania, we are down in NC now nothing like that exists
