I love this car. Dave this car has so many memories. I remember being in Iraq when the show initially started and having a room full of guys watching Dave race on the street. Racing and wrenching on cars got me through some tough times over the years. Thanks Dave!
I've been out of the loop for a while, good to see Daddy Dave is still in the game. Anybody hear from Chief ? This style of racing reminds me the days of E-Town in the 70's watching the funny car guys thrashing around the engine getting it ready for the next round. Great memories....
I went through three Procharger’s before switching to Turbo. The last one locked up going 10 miles an hour down the road. The turbos have been super reliable.
You can hear the blower touching down. I have seen this in multiple videos, you can hear the blower eating itself while idling and they go make a pass and blow it up. I wonder if it isnt easy to hear in person or something.
Add to that all the background noise and echo from the steel building their in and the different language being spoken by the bystanders. I would have a hard time focusing with all the different sounds!
definitely can't hear it in person. the only reason you can hear it in the video is because you're only hearing a compressed frequency window of what you'd actually hear in person since the mic's trying to cut out all the high frequencies for echo reduction and also what your speakers/headphones can play back. so you can sometimes pickup noises you'd otherwise never be able to hear in person.

Damn. Everything has a life. It's not on our clock, it's on its own. 11 surgeries later, more for minors, I finally had complications. 10th gave me a blood clot and a whole lot on this last one. Prochargers can only spin so long before the tiniest flaw shows it's head when you're pushing the limits.
Around the 14 minute mark Dave you said your old Nova had compression but it had a lot of Extension....So does that mean you had to put Anti-Squat in the suspension to Race at N.P.K ????? If So is that Normal to Race with Anti-Squat or does everyone else Race there car to make it Squat and make the suspension Compress ??????

When they shut the car off after warm up it sounded like the pro charger screeched to a stop! Again though it’s hard to hear with all the background noise.

I am assuming that they didn't hear it because of the eshaust. I know Dave well enough that if he had heard it he never ran it.

I lived in Sao Paulo for a few years. I'm not sure Dave realizes,.....that in Brazil???? If you have cars like that in Brazil,......it's more than likely from "illicit or illegal means". Just saying. There economy and GDP doesn't aline with capitalism. Just saying.
@@deanmullins695- 100%. The buyer clearly does/should understand that. Bad thing about a blower exploding like that is all the metal fragments getting ingested into the engine. So new blower, new intake, remove and refresh the engine and repairs to the CF front clip. Repairs are not going to be cheap especially if the engine has to go all the way back to Proline. Hopefully there are guys down there that can gangle the engine refresh..
Obviously you don’t build a race car from scratch, you assemble it. Chassis built by others, engine built by others suspension wheels built by others, body definitely built by others years ago. By the time you get done assembling everything you missed a race season and the next year your working out bugs. So figure two years wasted. If you are a racer buy a proven car and don’t lose 2 years. If you are a assembler have fun.
