You can't argue "chase is the race" when you remove your brake lights to deliberately disguise your launch. Everything was dependent on the flash light on/drop. To argue about it like that....and to do it over such a small amount of money in front of so many people leads me to know that guy has zero integrity. Everyone in his life had to learn something about him that day.

If you can't win a race straight up and have to have a headstart you shouldn't be racing. There is levels to everything in life.
Im not sure if i agree or disagree? I believe you run what you bring heads up period. Never liked bracket racing because it has so many peddling cheats ive seen it a thousand times. Racing is not detuning your car or hitting your brakes so you dont break out of your bracket. When everyone is all in ppl cant cheat short of sabotage
Kind of why I like index racing. Hard to keep from trying to race the other car and just run a certain number.
Heads up is the way to race if the cars are unknown but not these cars and when you are betting money, no one would of put money against Dave in that race if it was heads up, you can race heads up then bet on the odds like professional sports or handicap the other opponent and bet on the outcome just like this race.
The best part is Dave was sideways and was still reeling this chode in.
That’s an easy stance to have if you have unlimited funds and time to dial it in
They knew exactly how it was supposed to be. That's why they disconnected the brake lights thinking they could leave early. They obviously didn't know hot headed Chucky wasn't down there watching.

I miss the good old days. Pretty big street racing scene back in my hometown. Always just straight up head to head racing. No negotiations. You either lost or you won.
Always a few weekly grudge races. A guy beat you last week, dial in your car, maybe jet up on the nitrous, and beat him the following week.

They clearly said that he was going to turn the light on and when he lowers it he can then leave whenever he wants. But Not Until then. It never was when the light came on. And in that situation it's NOT Chase is a race if you, the one getting a huge head start and the move don't follow simple set in stone directions for the race and you leave early. Which is clearly what happened.
