I would keep the original paint, nostalgic as hell. Looks good Dave, keep up the good work. Thank you for all you do for us fans.
Million dollar idea daddy dave…a legit no prep drag week, I’d watch the h ell out of that show, and I’ll bet I’m not the only one.
Like the way you think JP, that would be a good little series.
@@DaddyDaveRacing good? He’ll that would be good. I’d watch that over any series SO has out right now. Ya’ll doing a drag and drive would be sick.
@@Degenerate124 right? I’ve watched hot rod drag week on RUclips for years and that’s just class racing. A headsup, big tire/small tire no prep drag week would be an absolute home run.
My favorite street outlaws og moment has to be Daddy Dave winning cash days in Jackies Sonoma that thing was fucking unstoppable I loved the old school episodes so much because of that GMC pickup
Thank Dave for showing us your cool build !.Can't wait to watch her on Dyno and going cruise on route 66 with 405 guys in near future !.
Awesome car, can’t wait to see it run great job on the upgrades!!!
Dave sounds like Bob Ross talking about this Monte Carlo. Sounds so calm and he walks through the whole car and takes you along a journey. Has a story for every component. Such a sick car. Original yet highly modified.
I was also about to make a Bob Ross comparison. 😂
He must be kin to Bob ross, because Dave's painting the drag surface with every burn out he does ;)
Seeing so much nice parts come together with a thought behind...🙏🙏🙏 I just love that car...👏👏👏
Absolutely knocked it out of the park on this car Dave. Leave the decals knock the chrome rocker skirts off and keep it white. Beautiful build.
I'm so proud of you Dave, you've come a long way since the beginning. You went from not affording to race to having the best of the best, so cool 😎. A racing Cinderella story. It's awesome that you can make your automotive dreams a reality now. You always were racing royalty, just hidden. You have an amazing imagination with great ideas and now you can express it freely, so cool!!! Take care Daddy Dave!!!
Wow Dave that Monte SS is a work of art. I love the fact that everything works and functions correctly and fits so cleanly , totally impressed with your version of a true small tire street car . I've owned 6 Montes in the past none of which come close to your well engineered beast , gotta love them G Bodies
@Te-_legramDaddyDaveRacing I will try I don't seem to have much luck with telegram , just go out there and put a whooping on them fox bodies
Enjoyed the walk around thoroughly thanks a million !! Top notch build made it way better!!
I think that is so cool! Funny thing is I was a mechanic back in the day and worked on many of these cars. They never blew my dress up back then but very few cars did. Now I appreciate the whole car and they bring back good memories. Thanks a bunch for the show even if you made me miss not being able to it.
Excited to see this one run ! It will definitely haul ass. Plus I think leave it just like it is paint wise .
Love the fact going small tire , but still have all the chassis work to plant whatever power you have to the ground . Classic car that still looks like a classic car . Kudos
My wife has a 1986 monte ss hard top it's silver with gray interior all OG except the duel exhaust . And 68000 miles she has owned this car for 22 years looks great Dave
I've owned nine G body Elcaminos , and an 84 SS Monte Carlos, the under side of yours is the best I've ever seen!
Like how they tried to keep the street car complete as they can on this build. Glad you didn't put some rolled sheet panels for doors an it's got some Original interior. Awesome car thank's for sharing. ProCharger look's like a very quick easy solution to some more power for sure. Really surprised you didn't heat wrap the headers.
Man, that year/body style Monte Carlo is such an awesome looking car! If you paint it stay white but maybe do gold accents & then gold wheels. But doesn't need to be painted, it look great as it is! Can't wait to see it cruising & also rippin' down the track! Super stoked for you, that's such a sweet car! Enjoy it man!
It was a good ride to start with and you turned it into a great car with everything you did.
Awesome ride Dave can't wait to see you on TV with it.
Leave it alone! It’s a classic 👌
Daddy Dave you rock! Love the ol Monte! It's beautiful the way it is! Peace
Great looking Montie, brings me back to my youth, have fun with it and hopefully see ya on r.t 66✌️👍🇺🇲😎
We sure could use a walk around of the new Audi
He’s keeping that one under wraps until it’s time to unleash it
Go 6 vids back. They walk around and talk about the car at SEMA.
True, but I get what he's saying.
Soon Doogie, promise and then some 🤙
Ya what the heck Dave are you ever going to bring out the beauty, audi?
Love how easy the doors close and the sound of the close.
Damn straight, made it better. Paint and body is already on point.
Beautifully built--as usual !!!!
I hate to see a nice car like this turned into a “race car” but honestly, I really like this car. It’s a thing of beauty Dave
You did the SS right!!! Everything is state of the art top notch!!! I have an 87 SS too... Texas car... I call her Blackice... 383 stroker with a 700 behind it... This car is amazing!!! great job I can't wait to see it moving around...
Have not worked on the old school cruise in a while glad to hear you still run it
The car is amazing!!! If I could afford to build a Monte Carlo SS the way I want it would be about identical to yours. The dimmer switch on the floor was a great idea for the gear vendor and those shocks are freaking awesome. The rest of the car is so nice I’d say paint it the same but I wouldn’t worry about a show quality paint job because you’re gonna drive it and race it so it’s gonna end up with some scratches and such and when you don’t have a show quality paint you don’t get as mad when you get a small scratch or something. I can’t wait to see this car make some passes and I think it’s gonna be one of the fastest street/daily cars wherever you go with it. Thanks for the update and I’m officially jealous of your car lols
RADICAL BUILD DAVE !! ALL THE RIGHT BELLS AND WHISTLES!!!! YOU GOTTA LOVE THE MONTE BODY STYLE. EXCELLENT JOB DAVE!!! PRIMO STREET MACHINE!!!!!!
Awesome car!!!!I'd leave the paint alone, its just that cool!
Thank both of you.
Love the content! "New" and "OG" are an oximoron.... Keep pushing the dream!
Paint it Dave you can’t let Doc be the only one finished from head to toe but love the car period!
I’m a MC guy. My very first car was an 83. Absolutely loved the car. Now I’m lookin for one to street myself but they r getting rather pricey.
Love the car Dave great job on this build homie
leave it old school. had an 82 and a 84 when i was younger. wish i still had at least one of them still. awesome work. !!
Dave, it’s nice as hell. One of my favorite cars and body styles. I always have loved the 80-88 Cutlass with the 350 Rocket in them, these body style Montes were #2 them the Regals. The Black SS Montes were slick as hell. The white ones were my favorite though. Love the white with red and really like the chrome. It makes it. Just repaint it! You’ll be glad you did and just paint it back original. It will be immaculate and very very good looking car with those hammers! Fuckin love it man but you gotta paint it and do it white red and put all the chrome back in it. You’ll not regret it and never get rid of it…hell you may make you kids bury you in it! I would!!
That's a Baaaaad Bish!!! Luv it. HUGE G Body Fan. IMHO, keeping the OG paint, chrome, etc, just "feels" right Sir. Congratulations on building such a dream ride.
I remember seeing these and Grand Nationals when I was a kid. I always said I would get one when I was older. Maybe one day. Congrats on the car and all the awesome mods you've done.
Love the car man wouldn't change a thing. Best of luck with all of your races. Stay safe and thanks for the video.
Hey, thank you for the support and catching my channel Jeff.
Paint it! Black like the s10
Battery box and cutt off switch look great 👍 keep it up race seasons around the corner
That beauty looking luxurious over there nice whip Daddy David
Killer build nice ride man 👌🏼💯
BadAss. Can’t wait to see it run.
I graduated in 1984 I remember when these cars came out I always wanted one big fan of these cars.
1:00 I was Very Disappointed when I found out You and Chuck were not going to Australia!!
You Will Always Be The Baddest OG 405 Legend!! The Old Sonoma With Flames From 60ft through 660ft But It Wasn't Just the Truck. It's The Man Behind The Wheel! You Sir Are ONE BAD A DOUBLE SCRIBBLE DRIVER!
It’s sharp wow
Just like the movies!!! Driving around in park!!!
Hell yes!! I love it.
Fan of the show(s) and all the Guys & Gals there at the 405. Nicely done Dave. Design, execution, build are top notch. Suspension is awesome! Retaining functionality of the driving comforts (heat, A/C, Cruise Control, etc.) is nice.
The Paint; IMO, run with the originality, patina for now and perhaps repaint next year or during the off-season?
All the best.
Awesome!!
Nice! I built an 84. I built a small block 409, I built a 700R4 at first but kept breaking even the good parts I threw at it so I built a TH350 with all Hughs parts and it’s holding up good so far. It’s NA on E85. I even painted it white myself and I never really did any body work. It came out pretty good. You’d like the dash that came in this thing I never saw one like it. Wish I could post pics here. It’s blue and says SS on it
Badass ride bro glad you keep it Chevy
Thanks for the walk around Dave, nice car makes me miss my old 86
Glad I have the time at the moment to show you. You always have time to pick another one up, thanks for tuning in Dom!
Looks good leave the paint the way it is. Looks awesome looks fast.
Hick ya these are great Dave keep them coming. Can't wait to see what you have for us Tonight.
thank you so much, hopefully you like the new Monte Carlo and what we've done to it so far. Dyno video is coming next.
@@DaddyDaveRacing thanks for sharing your passion with us.
AC cruise control and pro charger. Nice!!!
I had an 83 Oldsmobile Cutlass, a similar car to the Monte Carlo. It was a land yacht but the seats were super comfy.
Hell Yeah! I love Monte's, can't wait to hear this thing man! Hope you kick some ass in it bro!!
Man I absolutely love this build
A real beauty there Dave! With all that adjustability underneath, you should lay some rubber straight down the middle of that track! Daddy Dave gonna get his fo sure!! 405!!!
Awesome ride Dave. I love Monte Carlos’s
The paint is just fine.
Love the car , one of my new favorites out of the 405,
Much respect Dave
Wow says it all
You've got all the good stuff in the Monte, cage looks great, I've built some and it's difficult to get them that tight to the body.
Looks like a really cool sleeper car enjoy it
Nice job.I think you and your daughter will have a great time in it.
Keep it the way it is love it
!!! San Antonio, Tx checking in. Rooting for you champ !!!
The Monte is sweet! I'm a little jealous. I have an 80. If time and $ allow give it a fresh paint job. Bring it up to Empire Dragway next time you're in NY.

That cruise control servo style started in 1984.Installed them back in the day.

Thanks Ryan, digging the input.
that would look sick in deep blue. keep up the great work Dave
Looking forward to seeing both new cars . They both will be winning 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
That’s a beautiful Monte Carlo, it’s prettier underneath than up top which I really like. I’d leave the patina paint.
Thats bad ass ride Dave i love them Monte Carlos dad has a 86 442 cant wait to see u kick some ass she looks good
I'm in the beginning stages of mine. Have two 86 ss, the hard top turning it into a drag, and the t top just a cruiser. I loved these cars before I could drive
Hey Daddy Dave, as far as the paint goes, I look at it like I do a woman, you just can't beat natural beauty.
Nice ride. Paint scheme still looks good left as original. Looking forward to seeing it on the show. Great job Dave!
Respect Daddy dave ole Gargon.
