At 18:07 The curve tempered glass.... I'd like to see that short section of the tempered glass in front to be replaced by a touch screen, sort of like the Hyte Y-70 Touch. The screen would be about twice the width and the same height for a little more, that would be awesome!!
Awesomesauce video, Jay, Phil, and Nic!! It looked like the front panel and HD audio connectors are one connection instead of separate cables. My hats off to Cougar for this. It's definitely a solid contender for my next case when I get tired of my LanCool II Mesh.
15:39 that seems like a perfect place for a modular water cooling pump to be able to plug in… I mean, that at least would be a bit more functional than a rotating plate to display a figurine… Although, it does occur to me that could be a handy little platform for 3d scanning small items for modeling or getting video of small items you might be selling… so, it’s a case for Etsy entrepreneurs! Wow! Go Cougar! Thinking of the lil business guy!
@@blackghost1791 I hadn't even heard of them before building a PC in that case. I will surely ck them out in the future. The King 95 Pro is an outstanding value.
The O11 and it's clones are OK, but what we really need is for Silverstone to get their heads on straight and bring back the FT02. An updated version of that case would be outstanding. I'm good for two. Silverstone? Ball's in your court.
Ive had a lot of cases over the years but the past 3 ive had a couger and i can say while maybe not as well built as bigger brands I think it looks better than anything ive owned prior. This case actually looks pretty solid. Couger is a very under rated brand with a ton of potential, love seeing they're still at it!
Just watched a 20 minute advert for a pc case. No idea about thermals no idea about what it's like to build in. Just it's a pretty case and probably good good. WTF
If you're looking for fluff, there's abundant number of channels do that. Real, practical reviews are always welcomed, since they didn't reinvent the wheel every other day.
That rotating feature / part to the case is honestly SO COOL. I'm looking to build another PC in the distant future & this case is now on my radar. Very very cool
I like the cover at the bottom of the case that covers up the PSU. You mentioned it as somewhere you can add additional fans but I also see it as having easier access to your PSU so that if you have to add a new GPU, muck around with drives or whatever, you can get at them easier. Having to go in from the back is a bit annoying if you can avoid it! You've been dealing with computers for a long time. Do you think the old beige boxes were just white cases that faded over time? :D While I'm not the kind of person who would add a figurine too my PC, I have a roommate who is enamoured with Gundam. I can see her putting one in a case like this so having the option for a platform is aMAzing! +1 to wanting to see a build in this. Also I live in Canada and the pricing from what I've seen so far, once you take currency conversion into account, seems to be cheaper here thus far. WANT ONE!
Same. If done correctly they can look pretty cool, but not at all my cup of tea. I like TOWERS. I’m rocking an NZXT H7flow but like them tall like Jayz current chassis on Skunkworks
Pretty cool case that’s heading in the right direction. I’ve had my O11 for what seems like the better part of a decade, and I love it, but I hate how mainstream it became and all the copies that came. Hoping to find a manufacturer that makes something really unique soon
It looks more complicated than imaginative. I like the attempt to be different however. They should keep the aspects that make it different, but I would think they would use better material for the price.
When you have 4 decades of boxes fitting the same form factor. Things are bound to get similar. An escelade looks like a tahoe too... its just covered in more crap to raise the price.
Interesting hearing the comment about airflow on the underside of the motherboard socket. I remember back in the Athlon XP days getting an extra side panel for a case that had a side fan and mounting 80mm fans on both sides of the case, the fan on the underside of the motherboard socket dropped the CPU temps by about 5 C. I have always wondered why no case manufacturers have put fan mounts in that location, especially when dual chamber became a thing.
Manufacturers need to stop putting the USB's and power buttons on the top of what is obviously a desktop intended case! Why on Earth would you spend $200.00 on a glass case and stick it under your desk? You would have to be 7' tall to see and use the top mounted ports / buttons from a seated position!
"In case any of these thumb screws were put on by the Hulk." They didn't call me the Hulk, they called me Gorilla nutz. It's a long story, there was a wing nut and a dislocated thumb involved.
The rotating platform looks awesome! To be fair I do hope that the hiccup isn't a common issue with these because to be honest, I'd love to do a build in this case! All the features speak to me as well thought out and even the fact they give the option to add the platform and they offer it themselves shows me they keep with the times.
Lol ripped off. If it sells @ stores in the USA it properly navigated copyright law. Compaq did not rip-off IBM when they freed the PC computer from its grips. It reverse engineered it, properly navigating copyright law. You can thank Compaq for the fact your PC isnt an IBM. For those that dont know. You cannot copyright functional elements in US copyright law. You can pattent a functional invention through the pattent office which will grant you a copyright for 20 years. But lets get real, nothing was ever invented for a computer case. Its literally a hodgepodge of functional elements. Companies are free to tear them down and take what they like then implement it in their own design. Side airflow (functional), curved elements to redirect air (funtional), mesh panels (functional), front angle fan (functional), general layout for fitting parts (functional).
That low front fan reminds me of a literal miniature air conditioning PC case we had in a repair shop. Freaked me out for unknown reasons at the time, but I now have learned is because of humidity concerns…
15:44 The ONLY really cool "NEW" part about this case. The rest of it is just stolen ideas from someone else. Credit for the turntable display, Thats unique.
I mean it's different and looks cool. But it's pretty ginormous for no reason. Wasted space with the toilet bowl fan in front, hardly any room for large capacity hdd's, extra deep case to fit side mount aio/rad vs front mount like traditional cases. My og enthoo pro is a larger case and it's 535mm H x 550mm D x 235mm W. This one here is 530mm H x 512mm D x 268mm W. And yet 30 and 40 series nv gpu's fit mine just fine. As well as having room for multiple optical drives or fan controllers or additional rads top, front, bottom. The ability to house multiple sata ssd's behind the mb tray and 6 hdd's up front (while still fitting a 3080 12gb with room to spare). Sad to see so many more useful options on a case so old compared to what they're spitting out these days. If the argument is that no one uses 5.25 bays or no one needs hdd's - well then no one needs a case this damn big. It's attractive aesthetically and all. The turn table is overpriced and janky (doesn't spin smooth). Looks good for a photo with the orange led cougar fans. It's not overly unique, it ripped off the lian li and the nzxt toilet bowl fan and mashed them together. This is like buying a full size pickup and still only getting crossover trunk space. And not even trading it out for extra seating. Good news, now I can make my chia pet rotate for no reason in front.
The case is definitely aesthetically pleasing. Loving the the bend glass and the angled air intake at the bottom-front of the case. The only thing that worries me is the width of the case. I am really interested in the internal dimensions. A GPU generally has an extra 40 - 45 mm of PCB from where the screws are. Put a waterblock on it and an additional 20 - 25 mm are needed. This generally leads up to 170 - 180 mm of width for a wateer cooled GPU. Add another 10 mm for the MB including the standoffs and the total space needed is about 190 mm from the backside where the MB is mounted to the glass. Preferably a little more as you don'ty want to touch/scratch the glass (200 mm would be preferred).
@@WmJamesWofford Looks more like that Jawa trash compactor tractor thingy from Star Wars, or a boat, or a foot, or something that Cougar would normally turn into a head. Big whoop-tee-doo.
I've loved their designs for awhile might be the time to get one, plenty of space for water cooling. The curves and front fan draw me in like a moth to a flame. The tough choice will be: white or black?
the fish tank look is becoming popular , I have a cougar case on the shelf that I should of built something a long time ago that's called duel wing or something were the glass opens on both sides
I always like case reviews. I’ve built a few pcs in the last few years in a few different cases. Right now using an asus prime ap201. Small enough to not take up so much space on my desk and plenty of airflow but still able to fit normal sized components. I wanted something smaller after having a gigantic Corsair 5000d
You know the old saying that a camel is a horse designed by committee? This case is a camel. It's like a group of people each took what they liked most about each of the most popular cases and they tried to shove it all into one case. Curved glass front like the Montech case, The toilet bowl fan of the NZXT Flow, the slanted side fans of that other NZXT case, Hyte's pillarless corner, fans on the PSU shroud like the Lian Li 216, looks sort of like the 011D, but not a dual chamber case, and then throw in support for the new motherboards with backside headers, because why not. So you end up with a weird looking pc case that seems to do a lot but maybe not very much well. If you populare all the fan mounts that I suspect this will have negative air pressure and won't have as good of thermals as the 011 or montech dual chamber cases. That bowl fan doesn't really seem to point at the GPU as it's too far forward to blow directly on it. I'm picky with my cases, so I'm probably being unfair, but this is not a case that would interest me. Cougar has done some vastly more interesting cases.
I think this is the first time I've looked over at my Lian-Li o11 Dynamic XL and felt disappointment in it. I told myself I wasn't going to buy a new case for a while, but this is so tempting. Of course I would also need to grab a white motherboard for it, and a new CPU, a different res (mine is made for the O11), most likely a new pump... I'm gonna go broke in this hobby XD
im using a Cougar Panzer Evo, what a heat trap! always been a struggle to get heat out of the case. have 2x 360mm rads and a RTX3090 pumping heat into them
Now, I haven't been one to put a figure in my case before, but with that little stage add-on I'd be mighty tempted. The hitching could be due to the weight of that vase. Something like a Gundam which are extremely lightweight probably wouldn't have that issue
How about a mini mission impossible guy stuck to the glass? My last customer had a donald trump hair doll that might look good too! You could tell people you joined the make trump have hair again campaign!
Tip, you can just use the tape you took off to remove the tape residue if there is any. i.e. the tape you took off isn't as sticky anymore but will stick to the residue well, so you use that to slowly pull up bits of tape residue.
They never learn... there is NO WAY you get airflow with them holes. And again Jay there is a PSU in there there aint no way to put fans there. (well mabey on the top of the plate so you can look at nice fans).... If they did the fan intakes right i would instantly buy it. and a plastic with some holes is NOT an filter.. Oh and the case is $190,- (that's us dollars, no than x LianLi or Antec c8 here)
And now this one gets featured... I just got a Fractal Design North on Saturday. I spent quite a while searching for a case that matched what I needed and weren't wider than 11.3" (the width of the chassis cabin on my desk), and this case seems to fit better my use situation as the North is nice, but it's too cramped.
@JayzTwoCents - That motor'd turning display platform may have 'hiccups' due to the PWM signal / DC controlling a PWM device, I would like to know if having a motherboard control it at 100% fan speed smooths it out.
Looks very interesting, I personally don't foresee me needing another case as my Core P6 is such a beast, but that does look very nice to build in. I do like seeing all the ways that they've made this case work for building and airflow, but that bottom filter being on the back is definitely a bit of a miss, a side removal for that one would definitely have been a better choice.
This is gonna be my new case! I 3d print alot of figures and models and id honestly run the fan most of the time but would be so cool to dispaly a freshly painted figure i just finished in my pc for a little bit to admire my freshly finished work! Corny to some but cool to me!
cheeeeeeeeers!!!! I HAVE LOVED MY COUGAR CASE SINCE 2018 WHEN YOU SHOWCASED IT MAN! i wish i wasnt so dead set on a massssssssive pure corsair build with link stuff for my asteic performance rig for the next couple years but if i build another one before AM6 THIS WILL DEFFINITLY BE THE CASE ITS SUPER POGGERS!!!! if the cooling and optics works but yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Am I the only one that really dislikes ports on the top? All the cables plugged in are bending 90 degrees right at the port. It might look clean when nothing is plugged in, but it looks even messier when you do have stuff plugged in.
It looks like it's also compatible with the few motherboard models with all the connectors on the backside, which from a cable management standpoint would be cool to have a case that works with both.
Agree with most of your assessments here. It definitely looks like an upgrade taken from the 011 Dynamic case. Not knocking it, I think the O11 Dynamic was a huge improvement in case design. It only makes sense that other manufacturers would build upon the design. Has some great fan and IO layout options. Filters are a pain in the rear end for sure, but I bet most people do not clean their PC's very often, so at least the fan keeps the components clean. But I also wonder how many people actually make a habit of cleaning the filters... I used to be one who ignored this kind of stuff until I smoked one once due to dust build up. Since then, I don't use filters and I clean my PC monthly. Definitely seems like it is expensive for a standard fan instead of a high end single fan. I'd love to see this case in the 130 to 150 range instead of 170. As for the rotisserie, my opinion is that it is just a gimmick. That bottom filter definitely needs to be moved to the side. I would also love to see RGB around the top buttons instead of just their Orange color.
Looking at the orientation on that fan, at the bottom corner of the front of the case, seems to be puling air from the housing, not pushing fresh air from outside to the graphics.
backside of socket ventilation... one reason I still like my ancient case (azza hurrican) 120mm slim fan right behind it for *enhanced* ventilation haha
I like the fan that's angled up, but I still don't know about the way the front of the case, not my favorite design styles but this looks better than others of this type.

Absolutely perfect timing - based on what you showed this looks like it'll be better suited to what I want, and the price isn't too bad considering what an actual 011 Evo costs. 😊
Ahhhh Another fish tank.... I mean PC case LOL
I like both Water Cooling and Fish Tanks. Tetra Gang.
As opposed to the standard box, or microwave etc etc eetc.We should be happy that they made significant changes to the popular clone.
i'll stick to my asus prime 201. simple, no glass, no lights.
@@theghostofthomasjenkins9643 boring
@@TTx04xCOBRA it's a PC. no one else is going to see it. or care.

The curve tempered glass....
I'd like to see that short section of the tempered glass in front to be replaced by a touch screen, sort of like the Hyte Y-70 Touch.
The screen would be about twice the width and the same height for a little more, that would be awesome!!
Damn, if only I needed a new pc! Loving this case!
Awesomesauce video, Jay, Phil, and Nic!! It looked like the front panel and HD audio connectors are one connection instead of separate cables.
My hats off to Cougar for this. It's definitely a solid contender for my next case when I get tired of my LanCool II Mesh.
another fantastic review Jayz!!!
I really love the cases that have the fans diagonally facing from the side. This may be my next case!
wow i am in love with this case literally instantly
15:39 that seems like a perfect place for a modular water cooling pump to be able to plug in… I mean, that at least would be a bit more functional than a rotating plate to display a figurine…
Although, it does occur to me that could be a handy little platform for 3d scanning small items for modeling or getting video of small items you might be selling… so, it’s a case for Etsy entrepreneurs! Wow! Go Cougar! Thinking of the lil business guy!
I still prefer the Montech King 95. I think that is the best looking PC case available right now.
Montech makes some quality stuff
@@blackghost1791 I hadn't even heard of them before building a PC in that case. I will surely ck them out in the future. The King 95 Pro is an outstanding value.
O11 Dynamic Evo XL
@@stormrider01 That is a nice looking case as well, but is selling for $100 more than the King 95 Pro.
I definately think its a nice case also, but my personal faves are the nv7/9
Their website confirms your suspicion about the cutouts behind the motherboard. It is indeed compatible with motherboards with sockets on the back.
The O11 and it's clones are OK, but what we really need is for Silverstone to get their heads on straight and bring back the FT02. An updated version of that case would be outstanding. I'm good for two. Silverstone? Ball's in your court.
I dont much care for the look but I support anything designed with 180mm fans in mind
If you want the sideways stuff there's Thermaltake CTE and Geometric Future cases.
WTF
100% it's a 20 min. commercial. Paid sponsor. plus 'curved' glass...
(Don't forget the 'cougar' jokes are priceless - if you're age16.)
That’s a fancy looking futuristic outhouse with a view.
Why people contact you about product reviews is amazing. The enthusiasm is grand! your intake on products is refreshing. Do you get my sarcasm?
If you're looking for fluff, there's abundant number of channels do that.
Real, practical reviews are always welcomed, since they didn't reinvent the wheel every other day.
low key can't wait to see this build
While I'm not the kind of person who would add a figurine too my PC, I have a roommate who is enamoured with Gundam. I can see her putting one in a case like this so having the option for a platform is aMAzing!
+1 to wanting to see a build in this. Also I live in Canada and the pricing from what I've seen so far, once you take currency conversion into account, seems to be cheaper here thus far. WANT ONE!
Cool features but personally think these fish tanks aren't very good looking
Found the fish.
No i fix it..... But phil needs to do a slow motion peel shot hahahah
It looks more complicated than imaginative. I like the attempt to be different however. They should keep the aspects that make it different, but I would think they would use better material for the price.
Looks like a Lian Li case and a Hyte case had a baby.
Because I can have a nice case under my table and it's way more useful than having it eating valuable space on the table.
amazon link doesnt work
"In case any of these thumb screws were put on by the Hulk." They didn't call me the Hulk, they called me Gorilla nutz. It's a long story, there was a wing nut and a dislocated thumb involved.
Sounds like youve never heard of pliers, or been taught about leverage...
@@brandonhoffman4712 I wasn't the one with the dislocated thumb.
Ahh, new information! Now it sounds like someone never heard of pliers, or being taught about leverage.
I for one am interested to know more!
I do like the "no fans" in cases that you really are going to be customizing everything, matching fans sucks. Great vod, great info, thanks guys.
It's enormous. That'll hold so many brown Noctuas.
That way it would match your horned rim glasses with white scotch tape!
The rotating platform looks awesome! To be fair I do hope that the hiccup isn't a common issue with these because to be honest, I'd love to do a build in this case! All the features speak to me as well thought out and even the fact they give the option to add the platform and they offer it themselves shows me they keep with the times.
Looks like they ripped off the Hyte Y60.
It looks NOTHING like a Y60.
@@Jayztwocents
That's a joke, right?
Closer to the Y70, but yeah.
Side airflow (functional), curved elements to redirect air (funtional), mesh panels (functional), front angle fan (functional), general layout for fitting parts (functional).
y60 Is way bulkier, you blind?
This case would be awesome given it's unique shape but without the tempered glass which is way over used imo.
I hate cases like this. A RGB case. I hate RGB.
You really dont know wtf youre talking about.
Its all the same
Can't wait for the build!
PC cases today SUCK
Nice case. Lots of room for different layouts and well thought out design. Excepting the rear filter removal.
Looks too huge and bulky. Hard pass.
Knock off hyte. Bs case
ThermalTake had curved glass, Lian Li had side and bottom intakes. HYTE H60/H70 is an amalgamation of other designs. Boo hoo.
@@nimrodery shape dude it’s all about shape this is 100% hyte knock off.
3:54 I work in kitchen appliance manufacturing and we tape all sorts of shit down when it’s packed out.
I have a cougar case and love it. Good quality, nice design, fair price.
I'm gonna go broke in this hobby XD
im using a Cougar Panzer Evo, what a heat trap! always been a struggle to get heat out of the case. have 2x 360mm rads and a RTX3090 pumping heat into them
first thing caught my eye was the feet. It makes it seem like a presentation piece screaming quietly and LOVE the curved glass 1 piece
Oh and the case is $190,- (that's us dollars, no than x LianLi or Antec c8 here)
Cougar: Orange is our color!
Be Quiet: FU, fight me.
First thing I noticed was the tiny holes in the case vents.
Wonder if there’s enough room for a push-pull 240mm rad configuration for that bottom mount. Would have some kickass airflow
That notch between front and side panel is driving me crazy!
cheeeeeeeeers!!!!
Nice case, it is a thick boy. I wanna see more wall-mountable cases available, but probably not much call for those.
I love Cougar case's. This case is amazing 😍
It looks like that rotating thing hiccups like you said, is on purpose, as if like different pose positions, those stops seem to be timed.
"So a cougar reached out to me..." LOL, I thought I misheard at first
Agree with most of your assessments here.
Is this for sale yet? I can't find it anywhere.
NGL, this case really appeals to me. I'm seriously considering this now... I really like the entire design, please do a build in this. :3
I like the fan that's angled up, but I still don't know about the way the front of the case, not my favorite design styles but this looks better than others of this type.
First case was a Cougar Solution. Was a great budget case (got it for around $30) back in 2014.
Very interesting case. I'm going to see what other cases Cougar makes.
Thanks Jay & Co🤙👍
When is this going to be available for sale. I can't find it anywhere.
