This is amazing. I learned more in 6 minutes on your video than I did in an hour of research on my own, and I'm a professional repair technician. Good job.
I'm surprised you don't have more comments and views here dude. I was sucked Into pulling apart my ps5, when a comment about the warranty not being void when I did, and when I unplugged the fan this happened to me. I had a hard time lining it up and when I would get It soldered on there (no paste and knowledge about the boards characteristics) it still wouldn't work.... it would just turn off with a message of it being too hot. Thanks for this man I appreciate it!
@MobileSentrixOfficial, After soldering connector back on, I now have continuity between all 3 pins, is this correct? Please help can’t find a schematic anywhere and I don’t want to test it by just plugging it in and letting it short out. Response would be so greatly appreciated
hello I also have the same problem, the fan was torn off by a beginner, I wanted to resolder it but the problem is that there is a pin that I cannot solder because the track is completely unusable, where There are 3 pins, the one on the right can be soldered, the one in the middle too, it's the least complicated because it's ground but the one on the left I really can't. Is it possible to point to another location on the motherboard? thank you for helping me
This exact piece broke off my ps5 tonight. Little confused on all the materials I need to the job you showed in this video. I see baking soda and thin super glue, but otherwise? Can I get replacement part just off Amazon?
Question, why are these a common problem? Is that the connector is very fragile or is it that people are pulling too hard on the connector and ripping it? I’ve seen that people are warning to be careful not to pull the conector accidentally instead of the plug.
Connector is really tight. So its real easy to try to pull harder to get the plug out. In doing so you will run the risk of rirping the connector right off the pad.
Yea, I accidentally pulled it off when I was trying to disconnect it. I have nails & since I couldn't get a good grip I decided to use my needle nose pliers ...so now I'm here😭

I'm really impress with the result, had the same issue and still figuring out how to fix the fan connector. So helpful, Thanks man!!!
Thank you. The tip to ignore the connectors on the sides is a life saver.
Did you use copper tape for the grounds?
Thx

Does it have to be a certain solder kit to do this method?
Is it safe to think the same principle can be applied to that tiny fan connector of the PS2 FAT motherboard?
correct
By the way I am unable to register on the website. Not getting any text messages to verify.
