Customer should have bought a new one and sold this for parts
349$ for the repair ? I would've just bought a new one and sold this under the 'broken consoles' category lol 😂
Its ridiculous lol
"no video, cause unknown" 😂
Same
Don't get how some people hate on success, your channel has been very informative and has helped my knowledge grow of electronic repairs. I've gone from repairing controller stick drift to repairing damaged tracers ect. What started as fixing controllers on Facebook for small pay has now got me doing regular business with local retro games stores doing all kinds of repairs and earning very good cash. And all that is from people like you inspiring me, why don't said haters do the same instead of hating and not making success themselves.
Free repair instructions + life skills. Awesome
It was because of YOU, I was able to learn how to do trace repairs and port replace.. Etc . My Xbox series x was a Hiroshima! 19 pads, 3 trace wires all the way up to the encoder.. Needed an encoder and it needed the ESD booster bypass... It's currently working and I'm using it daily.. Thanks to YOU. YOU were my teacher. Thank you!!
what is an encoder

I hope viewers are aware that inventory costs money. I feel it is well worth supporting a local business (local as in the USA) that gives back to the electronic community like you do. May God bless you.
You are a surgeon Alex. I am always amazed at how small the parts are and how carefully you work.
Stop justifying yourself to these people in the comment section.
Whenever I look here, the comments are overwhelmingly positive.
You're good, keep doing what you do.
I appreciate the time you put into the videos with detailed information you are providing from your work to the merchandise you sell, cheers.
I have purchased items several times from NorthridgeFix. I like supporting the company showing me how to do electronic repairs. I have fixed several devices for my friends and me. I can even replace an HDMI port and have done it many times. It is much harder than you think.
349$ for pad's hdmi replacement wtf
😂
Too bad i can't post pics here, you should see what I came across a few days ago, with a PS5 port replacement.. it was crazy... Good thing i was able to get it back online. Like always enjoying a cup of coffee and learning from the best.
One of the best people to learn micro repair from. Great knowledge on the use of the pad strips ordered some from there website to do a hdmi port repair on my brothers series x. The pad strip video was vary helpful on fixing his Xbox series x after his son broke it. I can say it was a very successful repair with out all the fancy tools 😂
ya i got nuba MP5 gun lol
Cool!!! Yesterday I actually ordered some jumper wire, solder mask, and the UV light from your store to practice this very thing. Thanks for sharing!
Big Boss doesn't have a window anymore. Does he miss it?
Love the new office much more confort. Love your success, and how you improving the shoo over the years. Thanks for the amazing video.
Wire with 0.1 mm. This is insane to work!!! Great job as usual. Greetings from Brasil.
Boss of all Bosses and Instructor of all Instructors! Master classes for free.
10 missing pads, but who's counting at this point......LOL Another great job!
As always, you make a incredible job.
Well donne.
I have just replaced some capacitors on a board, like the ones alex points out at the beginning, i didnt have a microscope just some magnifying glasses, but i had to have the soldering iron litteraly 3cm from my face while i was soldering, i dont know how you do it, sat back nice and relaxed so careful and precise, amazing
Ma'Sha'Allah what a Hiroshima, you charge what you charge for a reason and that's the quality of your knowledge and workmanship.
I hope you're all settled into your new work facility and everything's going smoothly. I can imagine the work to get everything up and running again.
Your soldering skills are nothing short of amazing.
Alex is the QVC of the electronic shop love the videos man you a great job
Appreciate you sharing your knowledge!
17:30 in the video, Flux magically creates a Ninja Turtle face. Looks like Leonardo .
Im still astounded that people rip pads when there is a plethora of information out there on how to these jobs correctly. That being said your repairs skills are very impressive and obviously in demand. Keep the videos coming. Great viewing.
I learned many things from your videos , thank you
Nice leather jacket big boss and crazy nice repair alex
That was a monster job Alex, wow !! Even I needed a coffee after that one
😂 charging extra for 5 more wires, 5 minutes extra work if that! 😂
Excellent work
Hey Alex, great video! Nice new place by the way as well, much bigger than your previous location. When are you planning on expanding and train your future employees?
it so amazing that you actualy bother to fix these, and thats a good thing. And you also do good for enviroment that these dont go to scrap. Also customer is happy that dont need to spend money for new ps5 for just couple small parts that are cheap and fixable.
Thanks Alex!
Another nice repair!)
Still would branded music at the end return, as in the old days)
Thank you Alex
Good job mate 👍
Old vid - yeah. But holds a wealth of information. Made sure to grab a few tools from the site. Grinding pen, board holder, and iPad screen seating tool. Keep the content coming! I always make sure to recommend you to my techs as a reference.
Amazing Job!
another great tea time video,,,,,,,, keep em coming,,,,,,,,,
Looks factory to me🤣🤣🤣🤣,if you work in a quarry throwing rocks at stuff.Im no technician and I cant spell but even I can do better than that falling backwards down a flight of stairs while sneezing and drinking a beer,I could hit that port with my car and it would not look that bad but at least he tried🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.Alex shows us all how to do it properly as always. From a beginner,my advice is,dont drive or run down stairs while changing ports on a board, never end well.I learn something new every video.Thank you Northridge Fix for inspiring me to learn a new skill, albeit slowly but videos like this shows people like myself what not to do.Thank you
Amazing Job ❤
Great job !!
amazing job
will never understand how people manage to break these ports in the first place
Angry kids 😂
Could be an older dude who thinks they have to go _20 ton gorilla_ when plugging stuff in.
Yeaaah I have older relatives who always rip out the USB ports on all of their phones
كلامك اثر في بجد واتمني لكم التوفيق فانتم تستحقون كل خير محبكم من فلسطين
Amazing .. Cheers to you :)
It's amazing that this was RELATIVELY simple (at least for a project you work on (some of those iPads are nightmare fuel)---it's all rocket science for me) for you to salvage. Backup traces and points are helpful... I wonder if Sony when designing this realized it'd be a point of failure so they used bigger traces/points...? I don't know.
Awesome repair.
Traces cannot be larger than the standard gap between two pads. The port is held in place by these four large through-hole connections. It should be more than enough for it to stay like that indefinitely. The real question is what the customer did to get to this point?
Nice fix on the Hiroshima !!
That's more like Detroit than Hiroshima. The latter is now a beautiful city.
Wow. Crazy but good point.
😅😅😅
That's Mumbai..
The trashiest city in the world.
Detroit is way better!
This looks like a high difficulty repair (aka hiroshima) but Alex made it looks so simple, especially mixing those 0.1 wires and existing pads ...
Thx for this video, please show audi interface repair ^^.
I saw that the connection reported 480p. Is this because the boot screen of the PS5 is 480p (VGA?), like a regular PC?
Of course it works, what a beast!
Wow this scary background music is very Nice👍
350$ dam 😂
The customer might as well buy a new ps5 xD lol
i looove this new background music!!!!!! sounds a bit like Jean Michel Jarre, with some new elements
I salvage thin jumper wires from phone headset cables, or disassembled DC motors, salvaged from old toys.
It never ceases to amaze me how over-confident some people are. Someone who maybe once soldered two wires together looks at a a micro-soldering job and thinks "I can definitely do that" and immediately proceeds to butcher the device 🤣
The customer probably thought that only the ripped out pads that were green were the ones missing. I really can not understand why people work on stuff they have no clue about and just let a professional like you work on it.
بالتوفيق دائما ايها الزعيم
What is big Boss using for his meter arm mount? Great work as usual.
He's using the other side of dual monitor mount. Looks like the meter is just zip tied to it.
Sometimes I see repairs were they first put on the new port and than get wire from the connection points from the port to the vias..why would one chose to do it like this and why would you do it with the port putting on first? Is there any reason why you would do it one of two ways?
Supper great work 😅
This guy is legit 👌
I love your videos, very good job 👍too bad my English is so weak. there is google translation but it is not perfect for understanding.
Could you please advise how many the hot air temperature setting deg C for soldering this connector? Thank you very much!!
That customer obviously does not like HDMI ports or Playstations.Savage🤣🤣🤣
I came across your video for Hiroshima
This so hard nice job
Great video thanx , pls change the music 😂 its funky
What lvl are Big Boss now? And how many HP he have? How much exp gives one assembly?
Sir showing pin number 19 of my play station short.I would like to know where exactly it was from?HDMI IC is OK.But pin 19 is shorted to ground.Pin out has no connection to ground. My mind is telling me which diode and resistor are shorted.I would be happy if you could show me a little.
If I would be in need of a surgery, I'll pick you Alex! 😉
Surely Sony will learn from this and put the HDMI connector on a separate little board which can be easily replaced. It's only their fifth console generation.
Totally unnecessary also hdmi now transfers 4k 60. It wouldn't be that easy to just plug that into a daughter board off the main board. That port has to feed to the hdmi controller chip directly and the APU
@@dontakeshit why dont we just have an plug in daughter board, and yet you are happy when your lcd panel is connected via ribbon cables, why dont we have it connected via ribbon cables.
Sony dosent want anything about this to be easy... they want you to just buy a new one...
They couldn't sell you a new console if it were that easy!!
Or maybe people should just be more gentle when connecting things in.
Sony isn't going to incur more cost to themselves when the fault usually lies on the consumer.
Selamün aleyküm Kardeşlerim.
Süper oldu.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Watching videos like this just makes me wonder what the heck people are doing with their stuff. I dealt with people bringing in cell phones like they stopped working under normal usage, but ended up looking like they were run over by construction equipment.
People always want to be cheap and try to fixing their machines themselves but in the end they make problem even worse or make device unrepairable
Awesome
Hi,from Norway. Like your videos. Follow your channel for a while, is the house buying on hold. ??
Hi. Can you make different playlists for videos. It will be much better to see, learn, buy, what got fixed and the stuff you selling
Will help people watching a lot more.
Would be very helpfull
Thanks!!!
❤❤❤❤
Why are you not using an auto focus microscope anymore , do you not like them or are they not necessary?
Why did you need to retrace the pads? I have seen other videos where you have repaired only the pads?
I love the Philosophy. The rationale behind making money...The Work-Ethic...The reference to God and Family.... NF and Alex has got you covered. Like an old-school expert in their profession, who takes on the job of mentoring the next generation, when you are mentored over RUclips, by Alex over the NF Channel, you get the benefit of Learning THE TASK, with the added bonus of getting training in THE MIND-SET. BOTH are important 'Grasshopper'...lol
Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

I consider your videos as ASMR already, but the music was a nice surprise : )
Let’s keep big boss’ AC off always, he seems to be feeling cold 🥶
big boss, boss of all bosses🥰🥰🥰
Watching your vdieos from pakistan
Question?? I know its 0.1mm wire, But do you ever experience difficulties with the height difference between the good pads and the ones that you had to repair? I'm quite sure one must be careful with the thickness of the solder mask to not create height differences, but there is going to be inherent differences in height between repaired pads with wire and factory pads. Do you just tin up the factory ones heavy to help make up the difference?? Or press a little heavy to slightly bend the ones the wires are under to make the factory ones touch?
You don’t need to justify your prices. As you say, buy direct from China, you have to wait and you get no support or guarantee. People make a choice.
Honestly if electronics are damaged that badly you should sell it for parts. $ 400+ dollar to repair the console is not worth but could still save 10 + consoles from the landfill.
I’m always here for the Hiroshima’s
How the f ppl manage to rip off the hdmi connector? I have/had several consoles but none of them had any broken ports.....
probably dropped knocked over its easy done
😂 😂 😂 😂 That's what I don't get bro
Some keep even trying to insert the cable in the wrong orientation ... it's all only a matter of force! ;-P
