    Don't get how some people hate on success, your channel has been very informative and has helped my knowledge grow of electronic repairs. I've gone from repairing controller stick drift to repairing damaged tracers ect. What started as fixing controllers on Facebook for small pay has now got me doing regular business with local retro games stores doing all kinds of repairs and earning very good cash. And all that is from people like you inspiring me, why don't said haters do the same instead of hating and not making success themselves.

    It was because of YOU, I was able to learn how to do trace repairs and port replace.. Etc . My Xbox series x was a Hiroshima! 19 pads, 3 trace wires all the way up to the encoder.. Needed an encoder and it needed the ESD booster bypass... It's currently working and I'm using it daily.. Thanks to YOU. YOU were my teacher. Thank you!!

    Looks factory to me🤣🤣🤣🤣,if you work in a quarry throwing rocks at stuff.Im no technician and I cant spell but even I can do better than that falling backwards down a flight of stairs while sneezing and drinking a beer,I could hit that port with my car and it would not look that bad but at least he tried🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.Alex shows us all how to do it properly as always.From a beginner,my advice is,dont drive or run down stairs while changing ports on a board,never end well.I learn something new every video.Thank you Northridge Fix for inspiring me to learn a new skill,albeit slowly but videos like this shows people like myself what not to do.Thank you

    It's amazing that this was RELATIVELY simple (at least for a project you work on (some of those iPads are nightmare fuel)---it's all rocket science for me) for you to salvage. Backup traces and points are helpful... I wonder if Sony when designing this realized it'd be a point of failure so they used bigger traces/points...? I don't know.
    Awesome repair.

    • @HyperMario64
      @HyperMario64 Год назад +1

      Traces cannot be larger than the standard gap between two pads. The port is held in place by these four large through-hole connections. It should be more than enough for it to stay like that indefinitely. The real question is what the customer did to get to this point?
