    Definitely wished I saw this video before my first attempt this was clean smooth and fast bro. This is a testament to saying that preparation is key to every job to make things easier a long with some experience along the way. High 5 on using flux, I got so many different ones from them I love them all.

    You can never not have enough flux thats cheap reassurance and plus it might look like a lot but im sure he only used a bit. Flux tends to spread rather quickly when heated up. Also high 5 on kester thats my favorite brand of solder its super high quality and makes things butter smooth while working. I've been buying up old stock on ebay and it works like new!

    Do you mean leaded solder, not low melt solder? Low melt is very brittle and melts at like 80 deg c.

    are u using low melt solder throughout or just for the removal of the original port? Ive been using only 60/40 leaded solder to lower melt point, but was wondering how much easier if any using low melt solder was...

    • @cwhiteIT
      @cwhiteIT  8 месяцев назад +1

      If ever you see me using solder it is leaded and low melt. It’s a lot easier because it melts from the iron and rework station much faster making it easier to work with and less difficult to manage

    DO NOT TIN the the connectors on the motherboard. Tin the HDMI connector INSTEAD! It is better to mess up the connector than the motherboard. All the connectors on the motherboard will be soldered together if you try to tin from the motherboard!
