Great job, it's okay to be happy with your work btw. You almost contained your excitement perfectly. It's good to care.
Definitely wished I saw this video before my first attempt this was clean smooth and fast bro. This is a testament to saying that preparation is key to every job to make things easier a long with some experience along the way. High 5 on using flux, I got so many different ones from them I love them all.
Alot of potential in this channel. The repair force is strong here. Great to find you and will be following your journey!
much appreciated. welcome to the channel
The man himself
Thank you for this content young brother! You're on your way for sure! Blessings
You can never not have enough flux thats cheap reassurance and plus it might look like a lot but im sure he only used a bit. Flux tends to spread rather quickly when heated up. Also high 5 on kester thats my favorite brand of solder its super high quality and makes things butter smooth while working. I've been buying up old stock on ebay and it works like new!
Thanks for this. Much appreciated
Can u send me a list of everything you need for this process i want to try this on my ps5
Do you mean leaded solder, not low melt solder? Low melt is very brittle and melts at like 80 deg c.
Good stuff & Nice setup brother!
thanks man really appreciate that
Nice Job! Which microscopes do you use?

What kind of heat gun is that
are u using low melt solder throughout or just for the removal of the original port? Ive been using only 60/40 leaded solder to lower melt point, but was wondering how much easier if any using low melt solder was...
If ever you see me using solder it is leaded and low melt. It’s a lot easier because it melts from the iron and rework station much faster making it easier to work with and less difficult to manage
Facts!
Where do you get the HDMI ports from ?, great video!

@@cwhiteIT nice, do you have the part number ?
How this problem happened?
To dodge this later
Good stuff

When you say you are going to have it at 480 is that Celsius or Fahrenheit
480 C
Hey bro, is there a way we can reach you out. Interested in doing more fun stuff together
If any of the 19 pins are bent will the hdmi work at all? My case is bent but don’t know if all pins are connected
I would need more information but I am sure a new port would clear up any uncertainty
@@cwhiteIT the hdmi still works fine but the metal case on the port to hold the wire is bent slightly
@@user-sn2bj3re2j u should be fine
Can anybody tell me what kind of flux to use?i’m about to attempt my hdmi replacement the first time, because when i search online, there are a lot of flux type 😭
DO NOT TIN the the connectors on the motherboard. Tin the HDMI connector INSTEAD! It is better to mess up the connector than the motherboard. All the connectors on the motherboard will be soldered together if you try to tin from the motherboard!
What's the deal with these current gen hdmi ports breaking. I swear I've seen more videos about the ps5 and xbox series x hdmi ports breaking than I ever did with the last gen.
Same. Honestly not sure
@@cwhiteIT said the same to a customer just the other day
hi! When u talk about 480 u are talking in F or C?¡
480 C
Which hot air station do you use?
ATTEN St-862D 1000W Hot Air Gun Soldering
How can i contact you for a quote?
Can you repair mine bro? Haven’t played in months
My ethernet port bugged out on me a while ago. Is the process the same?
I've only ever had to replace HDMI
just out of curiousity, has anyone ever melted or damaged the capacitors on the bottom when heating this way to remove the port? Ive done at least 50 so far this way and have had 0 issues yet... but its always on my mind lol
never had this issue
Really need to resolder every pin including ground legs. This thing will come off otherwise.
Bro my name is Richard from Ghana and i fix Mac and iPhone I want to have a word with u
