    Dr. Sivaraman is a very famous Siddha Medicine doctor from Coimbatore. He has lakhs if not crores of people who listen to his words. He has in one video however spread a lot of misinformation and also promoted the consumption of animal products. This video has become a highlight for many to put Veganism down as an unhealthy lifestyle. Watch my response video as I debunk all of his wrong claims in the video.

      @@rohan7ben655 it's k...even i too stopped eating n.v for the past 4 yrs after my 25 yrs of intense eating habit bec of family nurturing...but to be stable in avoiding n.v is much stressful thing...since I cannot forget the grown up taste along with it.so atleast avoiding the celebration of n.v foods decided to have little n end up.

    Are the B12 supplements free from meat and dairy ? How are they produced?

      It is produced from the soil by a group of bacterias called Cyanobacteria. It is made up of mostly Cobalt (it is a chemical). Cows and animals meat has B12, because they come in contact with the bacteria in the soil. Hence, meat has b12. (They are eating B12 from the soil).
      You can take a supplement of B12 - which is essentially Cobalt compounds - and you will get it normally. Otherwise, you can eat a lot of ground veggies - boiled (not fried).
      But supplementing is the way to go.

    Traditional Tamil food. Palaya soru (fermented rice) known to be a rich source of Vitamin B12 (probably due to the bacteria being produced in the fermented rice)!
    It is an excellent info which will relieve N number of vegans who cringe on taking artificial supplements...
    Please spread this info.

    100% true on all your answers here Arvind... Even I became B12 deficient due to Vegan lifestyle; I was not aware of the B12 deficiency. Only on my recent blood test I came to know about this deficiency. Have started consuming B12 fortified foods now. Thanks a lot for the clarity. Keep it up.

    Sir 32.30 to 33 u told plant have not B12 but b/w time plant having b12 it transfer to animal.it how pls explain??????

      Plants innately don't contain B12. B12 is found in the soil (because the soil contains bacteria which produce B12). Now when cattle consume grass or plants from the soil, some amount of soil along with the bacteria is consumed by the animal, and hence the animal has B12 in its body.

Vegan need not buy anything, he showed us simple vegan recipes - which means he is promoting the local farmers. Take a try think through. I can assure Arvind is selfless soul he is sacrificing his luxury for the animals, i bow at him. He left is job a High paying Amazon for the sake of poor animals. its not easy in this world were selfishness in predominant. I am wonder-struck with his determination irrespective of the ill minded and the dirty comments by the most stupidest minds of TN. He is a warrior.     Agreed about your point about B12 for vegans, but doctors are advising B12 supplement even for meet eaters these days, since the B12 in the soil is killed by the pesticides. So B12 deficiency is universal.

    All contents are good. Except B12 matter, B12 is rich in pazhaya saadham, fermented rice. Matter solved.

      @All in one Tamilan Da dude.. are you a Dr ? He's right. Cyanocobalamin is produced by a type of bacteria. Fermentation is caused by bacteria. So there could be a link here. I don't wanna argue about this how part bcz I'm not well informed here. But studies have shown that fermented rice is Rich in B12.
      Before mocking, we should search a little bit. And I'm open to your remarks if I'm wrong. Thank you!

      @All in one Tamilan Da U r correct only. B12 can be obtained from animals only. Fermented rice have bacteria. Bacteria is also an animal. According to the law of phylum organisms which have protein in it are animals. So Bacteria, birds, reptiles, fishes, animals, men are animals only. All are sources of B12.

      @All in one Tamilan Da there are only two types of cells in this world. Plant cell and animal cell. Since bacteria contains prokaryotic single animal cell it is also an animal. I don't how to explain further. Atleast as a doctor do you know we are also animals..

      That's not crt non vegetarians some have absorption problem and they avoid particular nonveg items so they affect but vegetarian mostly have vitamin b12 deficiency , Because b12 is high in non veg , im pure vegetarian , I have also deficiency 😥

High acid content animals product make gut problem.I know many non Veg people b12 defencicy.I know vegan of 18 year without b12 defencicy.vegan should check only b12.. Non vegan should have cholesterol,uric acid and many more.. Junk food Vegan is good.. Whole food vegan is healthy and disease free

    Translation: The mind of a person who carries murderous weapon to kill another person is same as the mind of the one who consumes meat.
    Implication: Thiruvalluvar conveys that killing an animal and consuming meat is no different from killing another human being and thus he stresses how the life of other animals are as important as human lives. This reflects the state of Indian society at that time where many humans considered animals like cow as a part of their family, which is seldom to see in contemporary times.

    Is it right to consume milk which is a mothers milk for a calf. If its ok to consume milk then why we human's milk is not intended for any other animals?
    There is just no red blood oozing out of any tree or plant while you chop and murder. Does that mean you are not harming?

      Good point. Yes they have fat, but mono and Di saturated fats aren't present in nuts. They don't have any cholesterol or saturated fats, and hence are safe for consumption.

    I agree to the fact...I support veganism however, i am still not able to reduce the consumption of ghee in my diet. And i guess there cannot be any substitute for pure desi ghee. Veganism is still an underestimated concept in our country. I have few interesting raw vegan recipes in my channel - sugi talks. Do check out ! Came here after watching idiot box in kichdy!!!

    I follow a vegan diet and eat mostly Whole Foods and have a lot of vegetables. But I am still “clinically” obese. This has not come with the side effect of any health problems. I still have a great stamina. Please do not equate body shape and health. That is highly flawed and prejudiced

      You can eat a high fat vegan diet, coconut, nuts, oils etc. have you tried eliminating oils and limiting nuts and coconuts? And then seen whether or not you lose fat?

    Arvind You are wrong about your argument on intelligence. Dr. Sivaraman said eating non veg won't make you dumb/stupid and to support his statement he said 99% of the noble laureates ate beef. Noble laureates are some of the brilliant individuals on the planet where their non veg eating habits did not make them intelligent or dumb. So being a veg/non veg won't make you a dumb or intelligent. Arvind your are right in terms of fiber non veg do not have any fiber only vegan food has fiber.

    In my view, it is absolutely stupid to take sides on veg or non-veg. People who consume non-veg don't take them 3 times a day, and people who take meat also love taking veggies. Food should be considered a tool to nourish our health. A conscious choice is a result of what we become. There are a lot of factors that influence our food consumption. It could be availability, economic situation, geography, and personal preferences. Interfering in one's eating habits and supporting one diet and spreading hatred against another is just a waste of time.

      In this day and age, availability is not a problem anywhere, it’s excess. Also you should be asking what’s the optimal diet for human health? What nutrition science have you looked into? Forget the animals, it’s good for humans to eat plants and not consume animal products.

    The first statement that you make is absolutely make no sense. As a vegetarian, I do not eat for ethical reasons. Brilliance and Intelligence is nothing do with eating habits. Plants vs Animals. Both have life. But, between the two, Plants are better, though we know plants has life, as humans, we have to choose which is better of the two.
