I was thinking that people living in Las Vegas are called Vegans.

To have a heart attack you must have a heart, to have a stomach ache you must have a stomach in the same way to feel pain you must have pain receptors attached to a central nervous system, show me a scope which can zoom enough that show pain receptors in a plant and I'll accept you are right

It is all about the mind game...I think for avoiding the urge of non veg for years (atleast the urge to eat) one should gain self control through certain spiritual rituals like fasting meditation reading vedantha etc. The samskaras (mental imprints of past lives) of mind is so strong that one cannot ignore certain acts just with willpower or listening to vegan gyan. Even i was non veg foodie but slowly stopped eating non veg after becoming spiritually aware. Some already have that self control fully but some do not have it and have to gain it.

@@shashankphansikar7094 Actually my point of view on this topic is when someone eating an animal or a plant . He/she is eating life and particular that point what I'm feeling wrong because he/she is eating life regardless of animal or tree. In science what biologist define as life is when something show 4 least basic characteristics : 1)growth 2)responsiveness 3)metabolism 4)reproduction. That 4 characteristics applicable for both entity.
Here what vegan consider was, the plants are not feeling pain because of that we can eat. Was not it discrimination towards life?
& I'm also aware that by my logic then we have to eat only inanimate things but that's not possible.
Yes like u I'm also feeling bad when eat non-veg due to human emotions & i try to minimize that consumption also. Weather it is plant or animal. I see both in terms of life.

@@santanumondal1995 yes you're absolutely right that humans cannot survive without harming other life forms , so right now you have two options , either to kill an animal life form , or , to kill a plant life form ....
The good ethical conduct is always to make the choice which causes the *least amount of suffering* possible ,
Agreed , that you have to hurt a life form , but then shouldn't you choose the plant life only... So that the suffering that you are causing is at the bare minimum..
Will you agree that we should all reduce violent suffering
      (1) as much as possible (2) wherever possible ,
And if you agree with this statement... Then, since plants cannot suffer , the logical choice is eat plants , because you have to hurt some life form.... Might as well choose the one which can't suffer ... Why ? Good ethical conduct that we should cause minimum suffering

Hello Arvind, I wanna go vegan and I'm convinced by everything you said to go in that direction BUT I HAVE A QUESTION , we're told that plants can feel vibrations i.e. if we grow the plant with love and words of positive affirmation , they tend to grow faster , healthier and more beautiful than ever , just like animals and us humans. Then does this mean they feel pain as well? I mean obviously they can sense it. Isn't sensing and feeling the same?
I'm asking this because I really don't wanna harm any being for my selfish reasons. Although I do want to survive.
