Something I always come back to, after giving it any amount of thought, is investing at heart is about getting in. Buy ETBs, Booster Boxes, Build & Battles, whatever it is you're into and enjoy to any capacity. Once you do, you're in the game (literally and metaphorically), and you will get to enjoy the ride of the market and maybe even play the TCG. And if done right, you might be able to sell parts of your collection to someone who never had the opportunity to buy when it released. And maybe they will buy it from you for more than you paid for it XX years ago. Good deal for both parties.
I'll admit, I always get thrown off when you recommend smaller products, but not only do I know you have a system for selling them, but you made the purchase most people are afraid to (and these people never pull the trigger on anything and miss out). You always change my mind of these little things.
It does seem like Pokemon center ETB that include a promo card with the pokemon center stamp could be the best investment. You get 2 promo cards and one with a stamp. I just with the pokemon center etb were different artworks for scarlet and violet like it was for sword and shield
Yeah i definitely agree, PC ETB’s are great investments and they are so limited too. It sucks only the first 3 sets of Scarlet and Violet got those slightly different artworks
@@mrhoneybobo7115 some things I always look at are the seller, how many reviews they have and if they are all or over 95% positive. Usually sellers with tons of positive reviews are selling legit product. Also check if it’s shipping from china, Vietnam, or other asian countries, if so it is fake (besides Japan). Also what ETB, if it’s modern like sword and shield or scarlet and violet it’s most likely gonna be legit.
The only good response to this is: you shouldn't be buying from people that make you question the genuineness of the product. There is always an inherent risk in buying products on the secondhand market. You should shop where you're comfortable, where they offer buyer-protection, and from people who have a history of good sales. Regardless of who you buy from, once you buy something from someone, judge the product yourself on the spot: Is the plastic real and intact, is the weight good, is the packaging correct, etc. Just gotta do it. Worst case scenario, you learn a simple lesson over a $40-50 ETB.
