    In this episode in our series of bonsai techniques we try to bonsai a Chinese quince from House of Bonsai acquired 8-10 years. The purpose of this progression series is to learn how take a tree from a stock material into a bonsai. When selecting a chinese quince stock plant, they are slow growing and take years to develop into a showable tree.     Tom. Hello, and thank you. Do you find that Chinese and Iapanese quinces have the same growth habits? Do you cut back and defoliate your Japanese quinces in the same manner? Thanks.
